Honestly don't expect to receive a response from Pizza Connection as it seems they only respond to positive reviews. If I could give zero stars, I would for the food and service. The atmosphere was ok as there was only 1 couple there eating what was left of their pizza meal when we walked in and no one else came in to dine the entire time we were there with the exception of a few pickup orders. We sat down and a young man came and took our drink orders. When he came back after standing at the counter for a length of time conversing with the other young female worker, I questioned if they were able to make the shrimp Alice since the chicken Alice was on the menu and they had other shrimp dishes. He looked at his computer pad he used to input orders and said yes then my husband gave his order. He then told me he had to check about the shrimp Alice after telling me they could do it. They used to make it as well when Jeff ran the restaurant and it was my favorite. The gentleman came back and said they couldn't make it and the shrimp scampi was basically the same. It is not! So then, I settled and ordered a calzone with steak, green peppers and onions. I instead received a stromboli with steak, green peppers and onions. The menu stated nothing about paying $1.50 each for the peppers and onions as shown on their menu for the stromboli. The stromboli was very dry, very minimal onions, peppers or steak as shown in photos that don't lie and overcooked. We were never once checked on and we had to get the waiters attention for drink refills as he again was too busy conversing with the female. I asked for a box and instead received my bill. I patiently waited for the box to come out, but instead, the waiter came back for my money and I pointed out the extra charge along with what the menu stated. I explained that I got three items in the stromboli (not calzone as originally ordered) therefore I should not be paying the extra $3. While it may not seem like a lot, it is more the principal of things. The waiter basically told me that's how it was and wouldn't talk with anyone else and just stood there as if he were waiting for my money and wasn't going to do or speak to anyone to clarify this error and misunderstanding. Finally, I told him that I would pay the extra money but won't be back and I needed my box which I still had not received. No response from the man, not even the word sorry so we paid and left. This is an awful way to treat customers, especially when your Restaurant had not one other diner come in the entire time we were there to sit down. With so many businesses struggling right now, obviously this place doesn't need people's business and there are many pizzeria establishments around that would love our business since we eat out almost on a daily basis. It's a shame because it was great when Jeff ran the place and he came out to check on customers and say hello, even if he were busy. If you go, please question things before ordering and check your bill. We won't be back unless things were to drastically change as there are so many more establishments that would love our business. Pizza Connection is the best by far!!!! Born and raised in the Philly suburbs this is by far the most authentic Italian food you can get south of Philly/NYC !!!! Got a steak Stromboli and Penne pasta in vodka sauce with shrimp, both were spot on and the shrimp were huge! If you want to cut crap and get the real deal, go to Pizza connection in the Publix shopping center, Orange Grove and Hancock bridge N Ft Meyers. This place is delicious! Been twice so far. Small place with tasty food and good specials. $7 for a slice and a small salad. The buffalo chicken sub is to die for and so is the blue cheese dressing that goes on it. The Italian combo has high regards. Surprise top nominee and I'm sorry I didn't get a picture was the chefs salad! The meat was rolled into pinwheels and the presentation was pretty. They make their own ranch too which is yummy. We visited Pizza Connection for their pizza and broasted chicken. The pizza came out after a short wait, but the chicken didn't. The waitress didn't mention anything until about five minutes later, when she informed us the kitchen had missed the chicken order and it was just now being cooked. Another 15-20 minutes passed before she returned to say it would be about three more minutes. By that point, the rest of our group had already finished eating, and my husband asked for the chicken to be packed to go. We understand that mistakes happen, but since the error was on their end, it would've been a nice gesture to offer something--like a drink or small discount--to make up for the inconvenience. What made it worse was that the blonde cashier and other staff in the back were clearly aware we were unhappy, yet no one stepped up to acknowledge the situation or try to make it right. The food may be good, but service counts. Sadly, we won't be coming back. read more

We are always going to this shopping center for take out at Chinatown, Pu Thai, the UPS Store and finally we are having dinner here. I had the egg, onion and pepper hero, which reminded me of my younger days growing up in Brooklyn. Delicious piping hot sandwich with lots of eggs, onions and peppers! Dave had the Connection Deluxe Pizza with lots of meats, veggies and cheese. He said it was delish! They have an extensive menu, including broasted chicken, pastas, shrimp, salads, pizza, sandwiches and appetizers! Bevin was our server and man's the front counter. Third time here and the pizza is amazing. Jeff makes the whole place better, laid back but attentive to the tables. It's OK as long as you don't make a steady diet of their pizza. The restaurant itself is a cozy little place that has seating for a couple dozen or so people. Not a lot of ambience, but then its not tucked away in some little comfy nook so that's a wash. My wife and I usually get the food to go as we live nearby and it's handy to Publix. We have ordered the broasted chicken, which was good. The fries were crisp on the outside and good on the inside. There was a definite lack of a potato taste, though, just grease. The fried mushrooms, my wife's favorite, were certainly not made on site so they're pretty standard tasting. We usually order the pizza, which is made to mimic NYC style. Meh! The taste is OK, but they always have way too much oil on the pie. They must add it after it comes from the oven because it just oozes out of the box and you really need some protection for your car's floor or seat; place it on a mat of some kind. The pizza definitely could use much less oil. That said, the taste of the pie is nothing extraordinary and tends toward bland. As earlier noted, the place is located next to Publix and that makes it convenient for me. If I order from there too often I need to lay off for a while and go somewhere else, but I do come back because of its location. read more

My whole family ordered from here on a Sunday night, w e were starving and wanted good food! We ordered a a Greek salad, Mac and cheese bites and mozzarella sticks. The apps came with enough marinara sauce for the sticks and the bites and enough dressing for the salad, which is hard to get people to give your enough. Then we ordered the Italian combo, a pepperoni pizza, a chicken parm dinner and a dinner plate of chicken alice. Everything was perfect! We are so happy that this place is so close to us. The owner, Jeff is always around and will do anything you can to accommodate your specific culinary needs. Adding garlic, changing things to meet your need is nothing that is out of the question. Additionally, the staff is, fantastic. The ladies who run the floor rock it out. Allison and Ava are champions, making sure your drink is full, you have napkins, and your order is what you want. Highly recommend the garlic knots. The muscles and garlic are amazing. Of course, the pizza is always good.
