The atmosphere is simple but sufficient. The music is soft enough to converse over it. Our food ( avocado tropichop and a quarter chicken) were edible at best but lacking Latin flavor. My Quattro leches was frozen solid and I had to take it home to thaw. This location doesn't have a fountain refill and drink refill requests are a low priority. We didn't get napkins with our order and when I asked for them I was met with unfriendly stares. Also had to request pepper because nothing is out for the taking. Other locations seem to be better... not sure what this owner is thinking. read more

Pretty sad, I used to get great food at Pollo Tropical but this place had some very dry chicken and the sides were bland. The salsas that used to be a help yourself are now being hidden behind the counter and only provided upon request (thanks to politics and Covid). The place itself smelled dirty and looked beat down. What a waste of a good business model. They lost me as a customer until they rebrand or do a complete makeover as I like to trust what I eat. Maybe chic-fil-a will take over the grilled chicken space also. Note: reading other reviews below this review shows that the owner knows of the problems I have listed and has not done anything about it, especially the dirty restaurant. This is a long term problem that has not been addressed and I'll bet this place is close to being shut down. At a minimum the health department needs to pay a visit. read more

I usually like this place for their Chicken. But when I ordered today thru DOORDASH they were having 20% discount on what I usually oder the Whole Chicken with 4 rolls. This time I received all Bones in small quantities and forgot my 4 Rolls. Hmmm saved $3.85 but all bones no rolls. Not worth it. You get what you paid for. We were so excited that we found a Pollo Trópical in the area, not certain if the chain has gone down or it's just this location, but the food was awful!!!! Salty, tasteless and their famous chicken soup was watery and just all around bad. So, so disappointing. Don't waste your $ - Sad... I have been to pollo tropical in south Florida and when it was in port Orange Florida. It was always very good clean place. The location in port orange closed and moved to Daytona We were up in Daytona so we thought we would try the Pollo Tropical up there. And tour surprise it was not good. The restaurant itself for being a fairly new one was extremely dirty water all over napkins all over tables not cleaned. Food was not up to par. I put in a complaint About this location I have yet to receive an email. I would not recommend this to anyone customer service was poor. The screens were not working on a menu I ordered something they said they no longer had very dissatisfied will never go back again. read more

I always like to try to give places an opportunity to rectify themselves or to maybe I just had my own opinion the first time so I thought I'd come back to Pollo tropical, and yeah, no it's just not good food. I think the chicken that I got and it was about 12 o'clock in the afternoon, I think it was from the night before because it had that kind of kind of already Cooked look to it kind of dried out at the ends. So needless to say, I gave it a chance the first time and it was bad, and I gave it a second chance and that's all it's getting from me. The other thing is, they don't clean off the tables. The floors are kind of dirty. It's just not up to par. So when I got my mail, it was like a chicken breast right and in a dried out chicken wing and it had a neck bone hanging on it and so Iasked him to take it off. So I'm no stranger to this particular location when it comes to fast food service and pollo tropical. The first few times I've been here they forgot to put chicken, the main protein in my entree. After so many frustrated drive throughs and double checking my order every time, I have recently noticed a positive change in their customer service. I don't know if they change their team or decided to re train their whole staff, but it has definitely gotten a tad bit better when it comes to customer service. I ordered my usual, the tropichop bowl with crispy chicken and my husband ordered the same with grilled. And both food came out hot and "fresh". I was actually impressed with the improvements in their service and the wait time for our food. My only complain of the day is that the chicken was lacking. I probably had about 5 to 6 pieces of chopped crispy chicken. If they could portion the amount of protein to accommodate the amount of carbs, that would be great. If you're reading this as an employee of Pollo Tropical in this location, please keep up the good work! You guys are doing great so far. read more

This is my first time trying Pollo Tropical and so far it was a horrible experience. It didn't have anything to do with the customer service since I did a mobile order, but my whole order was completely wrong. By the time I was able to check my food the restaurant was closed. Luckly I called the store and it went to a customer care center and the lady was very nice and gave me an app credit immediately with no questions asked. The menu clearly says if you order a churrasco with chimichurri and get rice and beans and 1 side, it's $13.19 plus tax, they charge me $11.99 plus $3.99 instead for the rice and beans and they added the plantains as a side. I frequently visit this place for my lunch break because the chicken is healthy. But it seems like every time I visit something is always wrong with my order. For example, today when I visited, I realized that I was missing a side item. It was my corn. They also did not have sweet tea available. There was a few times where no dark meat chicken was ready. I'd give zero stars if I could. This place is terrible. I ordered online but when I went to pick up my order, the pickup instructions are wrong. Don't use curbside because they won't answer the phone even though you can see them standing around. There's nothing that's says to go through the drive thru, which kind of defeats the entire purpose of ordering ahead just to wait in the drive thru. When I asked a question about where to pick up my food, the employee was rude and had an attitude although I wasn't being nasty. Then they gave me the wrong order anyway. Didn't realize until I was home, everything was cold like it was made hours ago. I really think management needs to get a grip on this place. I remember when this place was once "Tropigrill" It was an awesome restaurant, had the latin/Caribbean music playing. The servings were healthy sized, the customer service was great. This one location is WACK, to be nice. I've ordered food to get home and find 1/2 servings of rice, missing food, wrong orders, and indifference when you tell someone. Ordered all white meat paid extra, told the manager, she pointed out at the cash register screen saying "it says all dark" as if I lied about what I ordered. Considering this is a fast-food restaurant, the food is cooked to order and is served hot. Plenary of menu choices make this a standout option. We ordered crispy chicken sandwiches and weren't disappointed. The bun is served toasted, which adds to the authentic Latin flare. read more

Every time we come here, they try to charge us too much for something. We go on Mondays for the $15 family deal. We ask for it, they ring it up, and the total is wrong. When I point it out, they say, "Oh, you want it for $15?" They have to call a manager over to give it to us. Today we asked they put the avocado on the side, and they upcharged us for extra avacado. Our orders are also wrong most of the time. We ordered a half chicken dinner and got two thighs and two legs. The last time we ordered black beans, we got a big cup of bean juice with a few beans in the bottom. We pointed it out to the girl, and instead of dumping the juice, she tried to add beans to the already juice filled cup. Most of the time the garbage is too full to fit anything in it. Used the bathroom for the first time today. I've never experienced such an ungodly smell. Their app never works right. They put a code on the receipt to leave a review. When you try, the website tells you the code is out of date. I hope every Pollo Tropical isn't as bad as the one in Daytona. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more
