Went Sunday Evening at the drive thru and the wait was long and there was only one car ahead .The service was a disaster. I ordered two half chickens rice and corn. When I opened the food there were two small quarter chickens in each one. This was not the first time they messed up my order. Its a common occurrence at the Polllo Tropical on Congress and Boynton. I contacted their delivery partner doordash who told me not their problem they took what the store gave them. I ordered from this location about 30mins ago. At the window I asked them for two Tropichop bowls. One with white rice, black beans, chicken as well as corn; the other was yellow rice,black beans, chicken, corn and onions. After receiving my food I noticed that one bowl was missing beans and the other one barely had chicken on there. I went back around and asked them for the contents that were missing in both bowls. I sat and waited as they were "fixing the plates" just for me to arrive to my house and notice that in the bowl that wasn't portioned with chicken, they removed half of the rice and filled it with chicken. All I asked for was a bowl with a nice portion of chicken cause there was only like 4pieces in there. Instead of going above and beyond to serve their customer they chose to be spiteful to antagonize me. I usually never write reviews for fast food chains as you typically get what you pay for, but overall Pollo is my go to for "healthier" options on a budget, nonetheless, this review is specifically for the Lantana and Jog location. They now have a new online app where you can place your order ahead of time and pay for quick pickup, unfortunately, you still end up waiting on your food when you arrive. During my last 3 trips here, using the online order app, all 3 visits have ended with disappointments. All 3 times, as stated, my food was not ready and all 3 times an item(s) were not available. One drawback from using the online app is that they cannot refund your money for items, as it seems the online system is different from the store system, which is fine and dandy, but how can you promote an app and not have no way to refund your customers if there is an error. 2 x times I ordered pinchos, they were not ready (Grant it, I place my online order at least 15-20 min in advance, I would think this is ample amount of time to cook and prep the order). During my recent trip, arriving at 11:10 am, way before the lunch rush, within 45min of the establishment opening and they do not have pinchos (again!!!!) and no balsamic tomatoes ...... are you kidding me? No items within 45min of opening???? Yes, the manager apologized and offered a replacement item, but that is not the point, as it isn't the 1st, 2nd and not the 3rd time this has occurred to me. If you have my order way in advance (I saw them make my order when I arrived, even though I ordered 15min in advance) then what is the reason to have to wait further and still have certain items "not ready". The times before that, we have ordered via drive-thru and orders are incorrect, items missing and sauces we asked for, not present. Overall, this place is horrible, I will not come here again. I also know it isn't just me as every time I come in, there is always someone else complaining about their orders. They lack good detailed oriented workers and need better management if they wish to keep my business. Over an hour of additional waiting and still no word or delivery. Called back doordash. They contacted the resturant and were told that they are no longer taking orders tonight (At 5:45pm on a Saturday) and would not be delivering any of the missing items. Mind you if you were to go on the doordash app this resturant is actually still taking orders. So after close to 3 hours and a total of 4 calls with doordash we're left with a cup of soup, a side dish, and having to figure out what we're going to do for dinner. This location obviously has horrible customer service. And quite frankly may just be out to take your money without providing any product.
