Which ever manager was working drive thru around 530pm on 05/03/2022 in a red shirt needs to be fired immediately. She has absolutely no customer service whatsoever. I can honestly say that is the rudest employee I have ever encountered. I understand being overwhelmed because it is busy however never under any circumstances should you ever curse at a customer. I was told to exit the drive thru and go to the end of the line as their "tropichiller" machine was broken (although two customers ahead of me purchased one successfully and I watched them pour the drink from the machine into the cup) . Instead of asking if i would like another beverage she asked me to leave as I was holding up the line. When I asked if I could change my drink to something they did have I was told to go to the back of the line. I will never be going to this pollo ever again. Horrible customer service. I use to come to this location all the time. It's been about a year since I've been back due to bad service last time. I thought maybe they've changed staff so I tried again. I placed an order for 2 small tropichops, some sweet plantains and corn fritters. I placed it at 9:24 and I'm still waiting (9:42) The young lady just told me they don't have any more corn fritters so it will be 2-3 minutes until they have some, I said okay. They have 6 employees working, one I assume is a leader in a polo but not one person has a sense of urgency. Nobody seems to care how long the wait is either. I'm still waiting and it's 9:45. This is pretty ridiculous for this late at night for a small order when they aren't even busy. I won't be coming back. read more

Horrible food - as close I ever got to food poisoning. My wife brought home two chicken wraps from this place. Whatever little chicken pieces were in the sandwich were dry, burned, and almost as hard as bone. I did not enjoy eating it and soon after I ate it I regretted it badly. Worst run and managed Pollo Trop. Not saying this just because of today, but the last several times Ive been. Today I waited in line for 10 mins and there were only 2 parties in front of me. Another employee said she was opening another register....but then turned around and disappeared into the back. Saw there was no ice tea made, but the girl said they had some at drivethru window, so ordered one and paid. Then she comes back says sorry that they didnt make any tea today. Not a soda guy, woulda just had water but I had already paid. Went to get a coke, absolutely flat. So was the diet coke. Waited a few mins at counter to get someones attention. Told them and asked them to get me a coke from the drivethru tap. She did but it was completely flat too. She said she would tell someone to fix it. But I watched her walk back to her station and told nobody. So five mins later I told someone else. Again nobody did anything. Food came they packed it to go even though it said In on the receipt. They do that a lot too Ate slowly waiting for them to fix the soda as I just drank water.....they never did. And they kept selling sodas the whole time even though they knew it was flat!! Nobody ever did anything entire 30 mins I was there. Never got a soda I wanted my 2 dollars back but didn't have time to stand in line for another 10 mins to get a refund. I could write a book giving tons of examples of various things my last few visits but I'll spare you. The food is good but the service is awful. I've been to so many different pollo's and this has to be the absolute worst one. You need to hire more employees and figure out a system to make the drive through line go a little faster! The only time the line isn't all the way backed up is at late at night and they usually have ran out of some things by that time. There's no reason I should wait more than 20 minutes, in my most recent time at the drive through line I was in that line for forty five minutes. There's no excuse for that, stop being so cheap and hire more people and figure out a way to fix this. There's so many times I'm craving pollo and I have to talk myself out of it either because I know the line is going to be ridiculous or some of the workers at the window are just super rude. There's no reason there should be cars waiting OUTSIDE of your establishment. You obviously have demand, put some effort into this place. read more

We love the chicken at Pollo, but the continued service glitches are causing me to rethink patronizing this location. This is the second time in a row that I have ordered French fries and they were NOT in the styrofoam container. In the past, they have left out flan and other items that were ordered. So I've never felt the urge to write a review for this particular Pollo Tropical but I wanted to give a huge thank you to Michael! I placed a to go order for a half chicken. I got the the restaurant to pick up my order and I was COMPLETELY ignored by the two women near the register. They made eye contact with me and didn't say as much as a "We'll be with you in one moment". This young man named Michael came up and asked if I had been served. Excellent, recently opened and the staff is nice and courteous. The tables and decor is clean and updated. The food is the same quality as the rest of the chain. I even had a manager stop by the table and ask if everything was fine. My wife and I appreciated the attention. Had their chicken breast platter, and my wife had the 1/2 chicken platter. Well in my previous review I gave them 4 stars. That didn't happen today. Drive threw had their head up their ass. Took my food back in to get refund because of lack of chicken in my ceased wrap. This is the ONLY thing I eat there and they use to have a nice amount of chicken on them. Today there was at least half the chicken missing making the wrap just that a wrap with chicken taste and little chicken (picture). Manager was a black lady that asked for receipt, looked in bag and wasn't there. She told me she can't refund money without it. The manager's who say this actually are lying to you. They can do anything they want to make customers happy its just she didn't want me to be happy. Made me wait 15 minutes while she looks for receipt. Didn't find it and gave me refund for only 1 wrap, there were 2. This could be my fault as I ASSUMED this idiot of a manager could count 2 wraps in the bag. So they still owe me $3.00 and change. After manager ripped me off with wrong refund she just walked off. No apology no thank you not even a fk off. Made me feel that she is a racist pig and I should stop expecting human behavior from her. Will never go back there. As as an out-of-towner, I had to try Pollo Tropical in Florida! I saw videos about it on Youtube and I was really excited to try the chicken. I ordered the family meal for 3 people. It came with chicken, rice and beans and four burger buns. The chicken was well-seasoned and moist, but a few pieces were a bit burnt. The rice and beans were good too. There's also a sauce bar with cilantro garlic sauce, onions, peppers and some other sauces -- I liked the garlic sauce the best. The service and the set-up was pretty typical for a fast food place, but the food was better than expected for fast food. Overall, it was a great value, and I wish we had Pollo Tropical in the Northeast. read more

Will not be returning to this location. 1. Sent in order online at 1:42 for a 2:00 pm pick up, employees did not start putting together the order until after got there 2. Employees were incredibly rude (in front of the on-duty manager who did nothing), ignoring questions by turning their backs 3. Orders were incorrect - wrong sides, missing things asked for, mixed up sides, no sauces what-so-ever (when manager was told about this over the phone after the problem was detected said "well there's a sauce bar, he could have gotten them while he waited") 4. Chicken is dry and all of the food is cold (keep in mind #1) Terrible service, terrible food at this location. If you have a choice, go elsewhere to avoid being treated as an inconvenience. Unprofessional! My daughter and I walked in and stood by the register waiting to order. No one came for approximately two minutes. Then someone from the back called the employee designated for the front. She came and stood at a different register than the one that my daughter and I were standing near to. She did not greet us, but rather gave us a look like we were somehow bothering her. We took it upon ourselves to love over and ordered. I ordered the chicken pincho and specifically said "I want the spicy one with the orange sauce on it." Of course, I left and noticed that I received the plain one. I went back in and showed her. She did not apologize but just took it back, threw it in the garbage, and asked the man for another one. She handed me the new one, still saying nothing and with the same nasty look on her face. Went for dinner. All employees were chit chatting and weren't taking the time to take any of the customers orders. When placing our order the employee behind the counter was talking to another employee in front of the counter. We ordered and when we asked for our cup she said she was waiting on someone to go up and get more but they weren't so she guessed she could give us one. Not even sure what that meant. Went to fill the cup and there was no ice. One of the employees on break saw and mentioned to the other employee behind the counter who said nobody would put ice in. None of the employees seemed too busy and were all talking behind the counter, yet there are no cups or ice? Strange. Then she calls us over 5 minutes later after we ordered and says that they can't keep our chicken as all white meat unless we would like to wait 15 minutes. Not sure why it took so long to let us know or why they couldn't tell us while we were at the counter. We got a refund and left. read more
