    Duck head

A little side whole in the wall. Waiting for over an hour for my order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not much room here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the food service is lackluster. The food was decent but I could have done without the duck head

First I'd like to say my food was delicious. It really was. Behind the counter an absolutely adorable little girl was helping her mom take care of customers. The restaurant is located inside a market and has about 5 booths and two little tables. It's very small. The ordering system is on a tablet and they text you your order info and all of that is simple and easy to use. The problem is the wait. Over an hour waiting for food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The a/c in the store isn't really cold and the restaurant is on top of a constantly opening door so the hot air keeps pouring in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After numerous walks over to the counter asking about our food, we were finally served. I ordered chicken Katsu and fried rice with fried dumplings. I didn't get any utensils. I had to get back up again and ask the girl to give me some and even then she gave me only a spoon and a napkin and no fork. So I had to eat my chicken breast with my hands. The chicken was crispy and delicious and juicy. The fried rice was really sticky and delicious, and the dumplings were crispy and soft at the right places and the dipping sauce that I got, the honey garlic sauce was delicious. My friend, however, ordered the duck, and he got a bowl of bones and a duck head. I was aghast. I was shocked that all he had was a plate of bones and fatty skin. For myself, I was quite embarrassed that I had suggested we go there because it was my idea and I felt bad that the experience was definitely not up to par. I don't know if it was because it was Saturday. I don't know if she was understaffed, but the chances of me coming back to this restaurant again are slim to none. If you wanna try stick with the chicken and dumplings, both were delicious and make sure you order your food ahead if you're going there to pick it up.

Great fried chicken! The Ramen and fried rice were also very tasty. The portions were ideal and had some leftover. Give it a try.

At $38.99 per person before drinks, this is not an inexpensive meal. The food was average and didn't stand out enough to justify the price. The conveyor belt filled with vegetables, noodles, and other ingredients is visually appealing, but I noticed the items were left uncovered as they circulated throughout the dining room. While the presentation looks nice, it raised concerns for me about exposure within a busy restaurant environment. The biggest issue, however, was the overall atmosphere. During both visits, there was a noticeable mildew-like odor throughout the restaurant. I also noticed smells that appeared to be coming from cleaning products and nearby restrooms, which took away from the dining experience. After giving this restaurant two opportunities, I can confidently say I won't be returning. The concept is interesting, but the average food quality, pricing, and overall dining environment did not meet my expectations. I'm new to Florida and hopeful there are better hot pot restaurants in the area.

The food, I am no expert in Filipino food but I love it, this restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered the bbq chicken skewers with vinegar sauce, the chicken was juicy and tender. 10/10 My partner ordered the lechon kawali meal, it came with lechon, plantains and rice. The others ordered tocino meal, chicken inasal and another order of lechon kawali. I heard the chicken inasal was okay, the tocino meal was good, tasty and the meat had a nice crunch. I ordered the Sizzling Kare Kare meal and it was my favorite out of them all. The meat was tender, the eggplant was soft and tasty and I loved the peanut sauce. 10/10 The final order to go was ilocos empanadas, it took a little over an HOUR since they were made to order. The empanadas were good, smelled amazing and the filling plus the flour were tasty. Does it live to the hype? I'm not sure. I would rate it a 7/10. The food does take a while so be prepared.

It felt authentic, lively, and fun. I recently came back with my husband because I wanted him to try a dish I remembered being especially good -- the whole grilled squid. Luckily, they still had it, and it did not disappoint. It was just as delicious as I remembered. I also ordered the sautéed garlic bok choy, which was simple but very tasty. Unfortunately, my husband did not have the same experience. He ordered the tom yum soup with shrimp as an appetizer and the pad see ew with shrimp. Our waitress didn't write anything down when she took our order, and both dishes came out with chicken instead of shrimp. His glass of water was also dirty. When he pointed it out, she took the glass without saying a word and never brought back a clean one. She also never came by to check on us. My husband eventually had to get up and go to the register to tell her that he hadn't ordered chicken. Instead of apologizing or offering to correct the mistake, she simply said they were out of noodles. To make matters worse, the soup didn't look or taste anything like tom yum soup we've had before. The consistency looked almost congealed. He took only a few bites of the noodles and left most of them on the plate. He didn't finish the soup at all because it just wasn't good. In the end, we shared my dishes. What was especially disappointing was that she didn't even want to remove his two incorrect chicken dishes from our bill. And to top it off, the bathroom was out of order. I really do like supporting family-owned local businesses, which makes writing this even more disappointing. Between the poor service, dirty conditions, and how the situation was handled, we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. We won't be returning anytime soon.

We only got drinks this time and we picked the lychee martini, yamazaki swinger, and the Lua Pele Scorpion Bowl. The vodka and the sake in the lychee martini didn't go to well or it was just a bad mix that day. But I was not a fan of the drink. The yamazaki swinger was very watered down and we barely tasted the whiskey. The Lua Pele Scorpion bowl wasn't much of a show and while the drink did taste good, it was mostly filled with decorations. It's supposed to serve 2-4 people but after we took all the decorations out and poured the drink into a cup, it was barely a full cup. I'll definitely give it a try again as I'm not sure how the food was and maybe it was just an off day for the bartender.

Unfortunately, our first visit fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, we informed our server, John, that it was our first time dining at Hawkers. While many reviewers mentioned receiving a complimentary pickled cucumber appetizer, we were not offered one until we asked John about it late into the meal. We were also seated alone in the bar area while the main dining room was active, which immediately created a disconnect from the atmosphere and seemed to contribute to the service challenges that followed. We ordered the Curry Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, a glass of wine, and water with lemons. The lemons never arrived until we reminded our server. The Curry Chicken was delivered without rice, requiring another reminder before the meal was complete. Shortly afterward, the Chicken Lo Mein arrived, and we requested a fork. Fifteen minutes later, after nearly finishing the Curry Chicken, we finally flagged John down to remind him that the fork had never been delivered. By that point, the Lo Mein had been sitting long enough that it was barely warm, and we seriously considered sending it back. To add to the confusion, another server eventually informed us that he would be taking over our table, though no explanation was provided. As for the food, it was average at best. I've had significantly better Curry Chicken elsewhere, and the Chicken Lo Mein lacked the flavor and quality that would make me want to order it again. While the food was serviceable, it certainly wasn't memorable enough to overcome the service issues. A restaurant's first impression matters, and unfortunately Hawkers missed the mark on both service and execution during our visit. Between the forgotten items, long waits, lack of attentiveness, and uninspiring food, this is not a restaurant we plan to revisit.

The menu has a mix of Asian cultures -- from pho to pad Thai and traditional Chinese offerings, too. My husband had a small salad to start. He wasn't that hungry so he ordered a small tom kha shrimp soup. He said was very good and had a nice amount of shrimp in it. I ordered their Singapore rice noodles. It had pork, duck, chicken, and shrimp in it along with scallions, bok choy, carrots, onions, and bean sprouts. The noodles were cooked perfectly.
