Great service at the counter. The dining area is kept clean and the staff empied the garbage bins while I was there. The family meal deal is the way to go if you have a few folks to feed. The chicken is so tasty and pairs well with the rice and black beans. I chose white rice they also have yellow rice which I'll try next time. Good value!

This isn't Churrasco Steak..

told my girlfriend she's gotta give Pollo Tropical another try... they mess up the order... and our quesadilla came in a ball. Was not a good experience

Fried Yucca

The chicken was not wel grilled, more like cooked. It was lacking that charred flavor. I had the vegan tropi chop with beyond meat and it was good. We also shared a side of fried Yucca and tostones. The Yucca was not as good as I remembered from other locations, I think it was fried earlier and was sitting there. It was very dry. Tostones on the other had were very good. Greasy as hell but oh so good. Service was good.

I've never heard of this spot until today when a coworker insisted we hit it up for lunch. Ironically enough, I said to a friend last week that I didn't expect to find a Cuban spot in the Tampa area, but alas here we are. The food itself was par for the course when it comes to fast food, but left a good impression for my first time with Cuban fast food specifically. The Cuban Sandwich was good (I don't do ham and they had no problem taking it off), the fries were solid for wedges, and the pineapple lemonade was fire. Not a bad choice if you're looking for something quick but different in the Tampa area.

Man... what a visit. First off, the doors were locked at 2pm. Somehow both entry doors were locked. People were dining inside and even the people behind me were confused as to what the deal was. Finally a customer got up and opened the door. Cameron was taking orders and was just sooooo slooooow. It took 18 minutes to get our food after ordering. They were out of the guava cheesecake as well. The flan was such a small portion, I honestly can't believe they are charging nearly $3. My skewered chicken was cold and when I mentioned it, I was told they could heat it up again... no thanks. I'll just deal with it since we were already waiting. The rest of the food was just "ok" but not what I expected. They seriously need to work on their stuff here.

it's 109Pm lunch and no 30 minutes wait for Chicken. Great Franchise or bad training.

arrived for lunch and i am told 30minutes for Chicken. Management needs to train their staff.

Came here for a quick bite via drive thru . The Yelp avg score is spot on. The Cuban sandwich was ok and lukewarm as well as the fried yuca . Not the Pollo I grew up with in Miami

I ordered my food at 7:47 pm with an 8 pm pickup. I arrived at 7:58 and didn't receive my food until 8:10. The whole time I was waiting for my food a short long haired man with a ponytail was prepping my box around 8 pm with a 1/4 chicken with the box open. Well 10 minutes he finally decides to add beans to the order and the beans tray is already full mind you. I go to ask him if he was going to give me the chicken that you had laying out the whole time. Before even acknowledging who I was he proceeds to walk in the back. I also want to add that the whole time I stood in the Mobile Pickup area I was never acknowledged (Horrible Customer Service). Here is a pic of my lukewarm food.

Brown lettuce should not be served. Threw that away.

Delicious, flavorful food. Went after work to dinner with my brother and mother. Service was great,…read moreattentive and friendly. Ambiance was great, loved the latin music they were playing and their decorations are super cute! One star off because I really wanted an after work drink and they were not serving any alcohol when I went in. Overall though I'd definitely be back!!

The ample space is welcoming and decorated with an Andean - Latino ambience paired with soft piped- music . There is a restaurant section from which you can see the kitchen to the side. A complete bar is strategically placed behind a slightly- raised stage where live music can be enjoyed while trying any of the interesting cocktails , beers Or spirits ! On the other side one can find the bakery- souvenir shop where they sell many Colombian & Peruvian cakes, pastries and candies - yes it's THAT big Now down to the main event: food portions are generous ( we always end up bringing home some boxes ) and everything I have tried so far is so delicious , from the array of tropical juices , appetizers to share ( or not !) , main entrees , sides and desserts . There is something for everyone or you can plan to split! I enjoy the sides of maduros and the tostones. Food and service are perfect - it's no wonder La Mordida is here to stay !! Bravo !!.

I'm glad we stopped by because the food was delicious. We had the chicken and garlic plate & shrimp & garlic plate. We ended up swinging by again on our way back to the airport. I wanted this to be my spot. It broke my heart instead…read more Let me start with the moment that told me everything. I handed a piece of the chicken to my Latino friend and said nothing, not what it was, not where it came from, no complaining to color his read. He chewed once, made a face, and said it was one of the worst things he's ever put in his mouth. I've also got Puerto Rican cousins, so I know what this food is supposed to taste like. Two of us, no coordination, same verdict: this wasn't it. Here's how I got there. This truck sits five minutes from my house, right on my drive to school and back. I'd been eyeing it for weeks, watching the ratings climb, telling myself I'd finally stop in. Today I did, genuinely rooting for it. They were down to their last two portions, one fried chicken, one fried pork, so I grabbed both with a side of arroz con habichuelas, took it home, and got ready to fall in love. I didn't make it past the second bite. The chicken pulled off something I didn't think was physically possible: watery and dry at the very same time. Slick and wet on the outside, stringy and parched the second you bit in, the whole thing tough and rubbery. And flavorless, not "needs a little salt" flavorless, but nothing at all. There was a thin sauce spooned over the top, but it just sat on the surface, so the first bite carried a hint of something and every bite after carried absolutely nothing. The fried pork didn't save the plate either, salty to the point of wincing and dry as a board. Even the rice and beans, the easiest layup on any Puerto Rican plate, landed flat. If you're still set on going, here's my honest advice: go early, right after they open, and order something you can watch them cook fresh. What I got tasted like it had been sitting a long time before it reached me, and timing might be the whole difference. But I can only review the plate I was handed, and the plate I was handed was, plainly, awful. I wanted to be a regular here so badly. I left unable to recommend it to a single person.

The interior and seating is a bit small considering how family-friendly this establishment is. As for the food, this is the most decision and crispy fried chicken to be served in a fast paced environment! The gravy is well seasoned that they serve it all with and the other sides are amazing! We had the sweetest host who walked the dinging floor and she was VERY attentive during our time here! I just wish it was bigger !

We were so excited but after spending over $50 on 5 pieces of chicken, a yum burger, side spaghetti, palabok, fries and a coconut icy.... We felt it was pretty pricy for 2 adults and 2 kids. The service, was fast food centric and of course they messed up the order and forgot the icy. Oh well. My chicken was passable (I got spicy) but the regular chicken was gross and the guys refused to finish it. The yum burger tastes ultra processed (but still a step up from Whitecastle), the spaghetti was interesting with a banana sweetened ketchup sauce overtop that was slightly unique. The palabok was the most interesting, but somehow also tasted fast foodish and not "fresh". Jollibee's must taste better in other countries? This is our second time trying and every time we leave poorer, disappointed, and with a slight stomachache. Def felt less "jolly" after eating here. No thank you.
