Let me start with this... I'm the type of guy who is very chill and wouldn't give a one star rating unless it was REALLY bad. I'm a fast foody and have been to some bad fast food chains, but this is the worst I've ever been to by far. I didn't even care after 20 minutes of ordering that I hadn't got my food yet. I wasn't even mad when another family got an order of free large fries when their food got late and I didn't. But when the workers started arguing with each other, causing a huge scene and one stormed out, it got to be pretty bad. And the place was extremely dirty. Avoid the drive thru at all costs. We must've ordered maybe 5-6 times at the drive thru and every single time we got our order they either missed a side or not given us the sauces we requested . This is the last straw at the drive thru, we ordered 3 items and they forgot the third one and they had the nerve to tell us in our face that "it should be in there, but I'll give it to you anyway" as if WE were wrong . You can eat healthy here! No burger zone. No tipping the server who delivers the food, but I wanted to, Summer was polite and efficient. Try the pork loin, which was cooked with onions. First time we went there and it will be the last. My husbands chicken was cold where mine was hot. We both got the Pollo bites and both of us found pieces that were not done. The counter where to get the sauces was disgusting and half the sauces were almost gone - had to dig it out of container. Service was bad as people behind us got their order before we did. Had been wanting to go to Pollo Tropical for a year since I heard of Fiesta Restaurant Group. I wanted to see why the stock had risen so much! I was curious how it compared with Chipotle, Qdoba and other similar restaurant chains. There aren't any Pollo Tropical's out in California yet so I got lucky to try one on a recent vacation to Florida. It was a good experience and worth the wait. We had a tropichop and a few sides. The prices are pretty cheap and all the sauces are nice to add flavor. I need to go back to experience more of the menu. My fiance liked the quality of the chicken which makes sense with a slogan of "chicken on the gril". Hopefully they expand out to the West Coast someday soon so I can try it again! read more

Fresh grilled food and grill to table service. Its like a mix between fast food and casual dining with a cheap price tag. After you order, they bring the food to your table on plates with real silverware. You don't have to buss your place when done, and tips are not accepted. They also have a drive through though, in case you are in a real hurry/drive by. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Honestly I never had any desire to come here but my dad did, and I'm glad for it. The prices are incredibly reasonable. We got fajita shrimp salads for 6$ and my dad got a sangria for $2.50. He said it was really good and he's a tough critic. They have a condiments bar which is always exciting. If you're going for the meal choices (instead of the salads or other stand-alone items), you get to choose a meat and some sides. Choices are also always fun. We also got TWO containers of salad dressing with our salad, whereas most places are stingy and only give you one. The restaurant was clean, even in the bathroom. Nicely grilled food so relatively quickly. You want to go to your table and they bring it to you. I had half a chicken yellow rice with vegetables and black beans. The food was very tasty, and the prices were reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant for anybody... Bravo! read more

I was happily surprised at how great this place was. With the drive through and fast food set up, I expected it to taste like fast food as well. But they serve the food on real plates, and it tastes almost home cooked! They have a condiment/toppings bar which is awesome! The chicken was a little heat-lampy. But the pork was excellent! Rude staff. Maybe if you are going to REQUIRE a face mask to step into your establishment (which, by the way, face masks are not required by the state of Florida so not everyone owns one), perhaps you should indicate that on your online ordering platforms? I have always liked Pollo Tropical for their tasty and inexpensive food. I like to add raw onion, jalapeños, and the garlic sauce in my dish. Every time I go, I always order tropi chop. Unimpressed. Went there with a coworker who has assured me that I "must try this place", because I have never been there before. The line to order lunch was about 5 people and moved at a quick pace. Since I've never been, I just ordered what I saw as their special, chicken and avocado burrito. I didn't want it as a meal and was pleasantly surprised when I was only charged $4 and some change. It should've given me a clue about the size, but it always seems that burritos at other places are huge and I often can't finish them. My companion ordered a bowl. She raved about how one can choose the toppings and how delicious it all comes out. Besides the fact that the burrito was tiny, it barely had any chicken. I had to use lots of sauce to add flavor to it too. I would've gotten something else, but the line was long and we had to leave. So, this location USED to be my favorite Pollo Tropical. Not sure what is going on but I went there tonight for dinner: No one was at the cash register to take orders and there were 7 people in line. You could hear a lot of "grab ass" type of behavior going on in a back room. Finally, a guy came to the register and was yelling at people in the back to do something, I am not sure what it was. The restaurant was DIRTY in general, all trash cans were overflowing, then there was no ice for soda, no napkins in the dispensers, and no knives in their dispenser. So. The food is great. The service here though is abysmal. I can't tell you how many times I've sat AT the speaker here for a ridiculously long time before they'll even speak to you. Even just a quick "We'll be with you in a bit." would be better than just dead silence to the point where you wonder IF the speaker's working. Then, when someone comes on, they're terse, almost to the point of being rude. It's these things that will keep me from frequenting a place. So sad. read more

This fast food type place is great. Service is quick and generally pretty friendly. Try the corn soufflé and balsamic tomatoes as sides with chicken. Great! Curry mustard and mango tea is amazing as well. Occasionally they'll offer good coupons too! read more

This location is by far the best location I have eaten at in the state of Fla. I have traveled through out the this state and have had some issues with other store.. By far this store is the cleanest and well maintained. Other location have been dirty to down right disgusting. Always I have notified the location managers but upon trying so said locations nothing or little was improved on. You would think corporate would have regional quality control????. Maybe they do but like the "bad" stores, but they're inconsistent or just don't care. The food tastes differs from store to store. Some, I have to "drown" the chicken I BBQ sauce because the seasoning was so strong and bad. Others, the chicken was over cooked and tasteless. This store on Park Blvd has always delivered on quality meals. I now drive out of my way to eat here when in town rather than visit the store on Waters Ave, (which is dreadful, the condiments station is messy. Onions look as if they have soaked in water for hours, sauces and are empty frequently as well as the tea). I did speak with Steve the manager of the Park Blvd just to compliment him and this location. Job well done. Food is superior to other stores and it is consistent. Corporate needs more management like him. Pollo Tropical needs to overhaul its quality control and standardize them. But most of all, check stores to see if standards are being followed.
