There was almost no meat in either one, and the there were a couple of crumbles of ground beef in the chicken flautas. Great experience and great food! Because of a mixup at my office, I was in a jam at about 7:30 PM on Monday, needing food for 35 people at a business lunch for the next day! The manager, Aliegha, was extremely helpful and got everything arranged for me in about 5 minutes! I arrived to pick it up at 11:30 on Tuesday, and everything was there on a table for me, ready to go! The food was delicious and the luncheon was a success. Haven't been here in a long time. Food quality keeps going down. Tonight I got the taco special, one chicken and one ground beef taco. The beef was so greasy that the grease was all over the tray and the chicken taco was wet and made the hard shell useless. The chips on the plate were so greasy I didn't even attempt to eat one. I told 2 people about the chips and no one offered me some fresh chips. I asked that my to go chips do not look like the ones served with the meal...Good news is they were not greasy. Bad news is they are so heavily covered in salt you have to brush off every chip to eat them. Disappointing visit to this location. I give it a one taco rating! read more

This was just all bad. I got to curbside and had to call to have my food brought out. I drove away before checking it and realized they forgot half my order so I went back. They gave me an extra bag of chips which was nice but they were so stale I just threw them out. The salsa was flavorless and had a weird after taste to it. Like it was full of preservative. The guac is out of a can. It's nasty. The cheese sauce is also processed fake cheese out of a can and it wasn't even hot. And the burrito was a whole Nother catastrophe. The tortilla was ice cold as soon as I picked it up and so is everything that was inside of it. At the bottom of the burrito were about 10 slices of jalapeños which I was OK with until I bit into them and realize that they didn't have any spice to them. So I'm assuming that those aren't freshly cut either. I don't think that I'll ever go back to Tijuana Flats again. I hate to say it but I think that Taco Bell has a better shot at getting my money for a burrito in the near future read more

Their food quality and portion size has gone wayyyyyy down. I understand food costs are high, so why not add a couple bucks onto each item? Instead they have decreased the amount of meat and toppings per item. They got rid of the full size jalapeños and now have them diced and mixed in with tomatoes. I think I had 4 pea size pieces between two tacos. My bf got no jalapeño specs ... Almost no sour cream or cheese on either taco. Lackluster was the word my bf used to describe the food. He was still hungry when we left, had to fill up on chips. This is the second time we have experienced poor food from this location- I gave them a second chance because you never know if there is a new cook or something but with this happening twice in a month period, we will not be back. Terrible Service. Called to order To Go and was put on hold for 15 minutes, no worries because they may be busy at 3pm on a weekday, right? No. I walked into the restaurant- still on hold and there was nobody in line and three workers were just standing around. The rest of the place was nearly empty with only two couples sitting and already eating their food. I will never elect to come here again. When I asked if there was a reason for the long hold they said "oh....sorry." I used to work at a Tijuana Flatts about 7 years ago and the environment was the opposite of this. This is not the best place for authentic Mexican cuisine.... but what really is anymore.. The parking is great as it's in its own lot! The staff are awesome all the time! Now... I had the Cheeseburger tacos. Holy Holy tacos they were!! Cheeseburger Taco with traditional Tex-Mex flair! classic Americana influence that includes pickles, ketchup, and mustard! This think tastes like a cheeseburger on a crispy bun. It was one of the best tacos I have had! The fries are your standard fair but good none the less... especially dipped in queso! Ok no this not gourmet but it's also not fast food like taco bell but it's still good. I guess it's in the category of Chipolte grill or Moes grill, just a step above fast food. I might be a little biased because I'm a condiment girl, especially things that are hot...yup I liiike it hot! That being said they have a hot sauce in every Tijuana flat. So of course, that's a highlight for me. I do think they need to have little pencils and cards out so you mark the hot sauce you like so next time you know which one to get, kind of like a wine tasting but with a burn instead of a buzz.. I don't go to Tjuanna flats often but when I have been then I will tell you they are top of making sure the customers are happy. They greet you at the door, they come by your table to check on and are very friendly. On this visit they were cleaning the bottoms of the table, which is nice to see that they keep that place clean. Also the cashier was very nice and helpful. On to the food, I ordered chips and salsa ,the chips were hot but I'm not a big fan or their salsa, it was ok. I also ordered the chicken soft tacos power lite with the beans and rice. I've never had the beans and rice but they were really good. The only thing that I would say they could improve on, is to serve the chicken soft tacos hot. Tijuana Flats is my favorite of the Burrito places (Chipotle, Moe's, etc.). The staff is consistently friendly, the stores are each uniquely decorated, and I like the food. There's a huge selection of hot sauces, from mild and sweet to pant-pant-pant. The prices are reasonable, and the specials are pretty good. I also like the fact that it is a small chain based out of Winter Park, FL (suburb of Orlando). The menu is limited to the usual stuff; burritos, chimichangas, tacos, enchiladas, salad, a few beer options. Queso dip is an added charge. You walk in, order at the counter, sit down, and they bring the order out to you. There's no self-serve soda dispenser, but the nice folks are happy to get you refills. I must admit that my favorite element of Tijuana Flats is the people. They are (almost) always friendly and smiling, willing to help. If there's a problem, they'll fix it. I live near one location, and my office is fairly close to another, so I'd say I'm something close to a regular. read more

The food is just OK, and the prices are very high. I had a steak burrito, and it was not very good. Lots of rice and lettuce and very little meat. The burrito was about $11. my soda was about $3. I don't even know where to start, so I'll just say it was the worst phone service, food and price ever. When I phoned the order in I repeated it 3 x and had the gal repeat back to me, it appeared she got it right. At the end of the conversation she told me it was going to be $65.00 I was shocked. I ordered 3 kids taco meals which come with beans and rice (I ordered black bean, applesauce and apple juice for 2 and a sprite for the 3rd) I also ordered a regular dos taco with beans and rice and she said it comes with a drink, then I ordered 4 alacart chicken tacos and 2 chips and salsa. This order was to go. When I opened at home there was only 1 tiny container of refried beans and 1 tiny container of rice. None of the child plates had any beans or rice nor was it in a separate container. Every taco but one was mushy the hard shell on one side appeared to have been laying in something damp and none of the tacos could be picked up and ate. We had to use forks and use the chips to eat the chicken and the damp taco shells were thrown away. For $65.00 I expected to have a nice dinner with my 3 grandchildren, instead we ate what we could and I prepared more food to accommodate their appetites. I will never go back there and will never refer anyone to this place. Please beware of what you order, what you get and the ridicules prices. Ah Tijuana Flats. It's kind of like Taco Bell without all the shame and regret...well, until the next morning at least. What I like most about Tijuana Flats is their hot sauce bar. Sauces range from mild varieties, such as the sweet Asian chili sauce, to those only a true masochist could enjoy. Names like "Smack My Ass And Call Me Sally" make the sauce bar even...um, saucier. The decor of the place is funky and eclectic, with murals on the walls and stickers bearing messages like "Don't get married, just find a woman you hate and buy her a house" covering most available space. They usually play pretty cool '80s music also. The last time I was in I ate tacos drizzled with just a little too much hot sauce while listening to Prince: "My dearly beloved...lov-ed....lov-ed...we are gathered here today to get through this sauce called Jamaican Death..." The menu is simple but good. The burritos are very good. The megajuana size should fill up just about anyone, a good fat-ass-American portion, in other words. If you order your chicken blackened, expect to wait a good deal longer for your food. If you want the most bang for your buck, try the flautas. You get six large flauta sections, vegetables, sour cream, guacamole and queso--all for just $6 (if you get the refried or black bean variety). If you're not a big fan of heat, tell them to hold the jalapenos or at least have them put them on the side. I'm convinced they genetically engineer their jalapenos to be like spicy little landmines, hidden in your food. By the way, both their black beans and refried beans are vegetarian-friendly. They also have whole wheat tortillas available upon request. The staff is friendly and generally good at what they do. Oh, did I mention most of the employees are attractive, hip young college girls? That's pretty sweet, I guess (unless you're married, getting a gut and have a toddler with you, then it's just a reminder of how much of an old perv you are). read more

They are friendly, fresh and fast. That's a winning combination in my book. I settled in for the mega steak burrito covered in cheese. It was enough to do me in. Full of steak and rich flavors, the burrito was near perfect. On the second visit I opted for a rice bowl. I didn't quite understand this concept, even after eating it all. When dinning here it quickly becomes apparent that those with high blood pressure should think twice. Every entree I have enjoyed here (and other TF) has more than a generous pound of salt wrapped in. That being said, sodium isn't all that bad, is it? I love the sauce bar and the vivid warning prominently posted in and around the bar. This is one place that's not afraid to bring the heat. As far as Tijuana Flats goes, this location is fantastic mainly due to the staff. Kyle, the manager is eager to please. I use T flats for catering for work and Kyle never disappoints. His staff is always on time with the delivery, they always have a smile on their faces, and the order is always correct. The best part, offices love the make your own taco bar that I typically order. Barley any steak, no cheese, and a little bit of sour cream. Could have taken all 3 and combined to make 1 taco. 2) Nachos with chicken and beans. NO chicken and barley and beans on only 4 chips. No cheese, over loaded with lettuce. Will not be ordering from here for take out anymore. Thankfully DoorDash, did do a partial refund. Very disappointed! After leaving the nearby Red Mesa due to no service, I was still craving Mexican so the boyfriend and I decided we'd have great service at Tijuana Flats and fill my chips and salsa craving. They greeted us immediately as we entered and we super helpful in telling us the specials. We ordered and grabbed two cold beers and sat ourselves outside. I had the Tijuana beef burrito with a side of queso and chips. It was delicious and was served up hot and fast. The boyfriend had a taco and a burrito and raved about the salsa. We also helped ourselves to the delightful hot bar and were satisified and happy as we finished our meal.
