Description I haven't been to a polo norte in a while an decided to go again from the last time I went years ago. Polo norte is a cuban style restaurant that sells hispanic food as well as pizza. When we were sat down I felt something dripping on me and when I look up I had moldy water from and AC vent dripping down. What I ordered I ordered a cordon bleu with smashed potatoes, a mamey shake which was actually delicious, a burger and fries for my son and my husband ordered masitas de puerco with rice and beans. When it came to the cordon bleu the inside was cold or not cooked im not sure which way to describe it, the chicken part was fully cooked but when it came to the hame and cheese filling that was fully cold and the mashed potatoes were dry. The masita de puerco was also dry as well and thought to chew on. Value The value it comparable to other place based off portion and size given. Ambiance/Crowd It was a laid back ambiance and crowd you see people of all ages here. Service The service was good I dont have complaints about the service. Parking Parking can be a little tedious since it does share parking with a shopping center and can be full depending on the time that you go. 5 year olds thought corner My son was not too fond of the burger he took a few bites and states he did not want anymore, my husband took a bite from the burger and stated it was not the best. read more

Siempre ordenaba con ellos hasta hoy. Le dieron la comida a Uber, y el driver (Hugo) la dejo en un banco en medio de la calle. Llame al restaurante, hable con el manager (Luis) y me dijo que eso no es problema de ellos, que es de Uber. Llamo a Uber y me dice que es el restaurante. I came today for lunch and order takeout and i had to talk to the manager on duty (male), because my portion was small, i ordered the chicken yellow rice special. Im a regular customer here i come almost every week and i I know what the portions look like. order frequently from polo Norte on flagler st in Miami and although there's always a problem with the order, I can usually ignore it. tonight was an exception because I ordered a palomilla with rice and beans, and they completely forgot the rice as well as plastic utensils. I called and spoke to the manager and of course he offered to double the rice, but I needed to find a way to pick it up. it will be awhile before they hear from me again as the options in this area are vast with prices much more friendly. If you've been good, you deserve some pizza. But if you've been a norte boy or a norte girl, guess what. You can still have pizza! Especially if you show up wearing a Polo Norte neck. Really interesting and exciting Cuban pizza place which is packed from wall to wall and fairly cheap for a quick-but-fun sit-down experience. There's also an order window on the outside where you can get your pizza on to go, but make no mistake, this is not American pizza. This is Cubano all the way, and it's... different. And great! They have lots of stuff that isn't pizza too, and the menu is full of Cuban and Cuban-American treats. The girl working at the to go window was helpful and attractive, even if some of the other customers were rude. I ordered the pepperoni pizza The pepperoni came underneath the cheese which was pretty interesting. The cheese tasted great and the personal pan size was perfect for me. The Croquetas were okay. The man working there took advantage of my husband by overcharging him for various items, taking advantage of the fact that my husband doesn't speak Spanish well. I just went to Polo Norte today, I've been here many times before & rarely have a bad experience but today is my last time coming here. I ordered the Masitas de puerco & they tasted spoiled. I asked for white rice with black beans & the beans tasted terrible, couldn't eat them. My Mil didn't like the spaghetti's she ordered either the tomato sauce tasted bad. I normally wouldn't be upset if I wasn't happy with what I ordered but the service we got today is what made me now want to come back. The lady that served us, looked like she didn't want to be there & didn't smile not once. When I asked for another plate after we already ordered she seemed annoyed that I was asking her something. So imagine if I would've told her that my food tasted spoiled. I just didn't eat it, we Paid & left but the waitress is the reason I won't be coming back. I can't eat at a restaurant where I feel unwelcome & uncomfortable. Typical Cuban restaurant known for their Cuban Pizza but my favorite plate is the Breaded Chicken steak with Rice Moro and fried sweet potatoes ! They make it very well. Also their Banana Split Ice Cream is great as a Desert if you can split with 2 o 3 people better cause it's pretty big ! read more

Polo Norte has a special place in my heart. The pizzas remind me to the ones in my home town. Well, I would like to start this review by saying that I love to eat there, but now the only word that comes to my mind is "unpleasant." The please itself smelled like fish, and our table was so dirty that it even had grease on top of it. The personnel wasn't wearing gloves. They were talking even without masks. I ordered a Pargo Filet Milanesa style, omg! Disgusting, it was almost raw; it looks like someone inside reheated. What else can I say? I've been here before and this time it was a big miss, there were employees walking around like lost and we waited 37 minutes before someone came and took out order them the food took super long time and we told the waitress that the garlic rolls were dry and she took them back and when she brought the other rolls they were drenched in so much oil that it was dripping from the kitchen to our table and all over the sodas. It was one of those nights where my boyfriend wanted Cuban food and I was craving pasta, coming across Polo Norte was the perfect option for us! It has been advertised on Yelp and I've had several friends tell me how much they love their pizza. We figured we'd give it a try. Once we got there, it was packed with people waiting outside. Fortunately for us, there was a tab,e available for two so we didn't have to wait. Our waitress came promptly even with the restaurant being pretty busy. For food, my boyfriend ordered the Vaca Frita and I ordered the Meat Lasagna per the waitresses recommendation. Glad I listened to her!! The lasagna was everything I wanted. It had a lot of meat and cheese and lighter with the tomato sauce, which is exactly how I like it! Still thinking about it... My boyfriend said the Vaca Frita was good, nothing special. C'mon people. Price/quality gives this place a high 4. I went with my parents last night amd everything that was ordered was good. We had mariquitas as starter, then i tried the hawaian pizza, one with onions and another one with peppers and they were all delicious. Of course, these are "cuban style" not the NY pizza. Consistenly great food, I have been going there for a few months now and don't have any complains. The prices are cheap, the service is friendly although Spanish is spoken by I would say ALL of the staff; so don't be afraid to ask for help from the table next to you if you need a bit of help when ordering. It is a family/group oriented restaurant so the more the merrier I have had the (Famous) pizza, fruit and milk shakes, along with most common latin dishes acoompanied with rice, beans, and fried plaintains (maduros). How about you train your delivery drivers!!! If we ask that u do not honk it's for a reason!! Maybe there's a new born or a old person point is if we give specific delivery instructions it's for a reason!!! And still!! He honks while he's pulling up then does this giant knock and when I ask him why did honk he told me because he likes to honk!!! And the disrespectful non/man( cuz man won't do that) still!! This Polo Norte has been around. It was the first one to open here in the SW. I enjoy eating the Cuban food here, it is cheap and they serve a good amount of food, enough for two to share. I always order the yuca frita to start. The garlic breads are delicious. The vaca frita and grilled chicken are my favorite with white rice, black beans, and plantains.
