We have been dining at Holiday House since they opened. The location is charming and the staff excellent. It's a small intimate restaurant with excellent salads and sandwiches for lunch (the chicken sandwich is crazy good). And their special event family style fried chicken dinners are really amazing. Love this place.

Super cute atmosphere. It was 100 degrees and a bit hot, but they do have a super strong fan blowing. Would be GREAT if a bit cooler. Lunch Club sandwich $22. The turkey is real shaved turkey breast, not deli meat. Comes with a nice side salad if you don't pay extra for fries. It is a hearty sandwich, I could only finish half. Cobb salad with chicken $24. Very fresh and tasty. My husband was annoyed that he had to cut up the lettuce on the tiny plate, though... a mess. We will be back for sure...when it is cooler out.

The best gifts ever. What hotel just gives you gifts out of kindness #allies #loveislove

This is an absolute Gem. From the moment you walk in to a reception area that is art manifested into a living room Andy Warhol and Vincent van Gogh decorated together...or so it seems....then you enter the glorious courtyard that looks as though Marilyn her self just stepped out of the pool...this place has every detail and suprises...you should find for yourself! Great find!

My friends and I made reservations for the Friday Night Fried Chicken Dinner, and we were not disappointed at all! Love everything about the private dinner. It's a special experience I have not found yet in Palm Springs. The hotel itself was a cute boutique hotel, perfect for the private dinner. I will always have fond memories here because of this dinner. Lots of laughter and fun conversations. Side note, by the time the chicken came out, I admit I had quite a few drinks and I was deep in conversation with new friends that I forgot to take pics..lmao.

I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was really good. The eggs were perfectly poached, the salmon was generous, and the hollandaise was creamy without feeling too heavy. I also liked that it came with fresh berries on the side, which made the whole plate feel a little lighter. We also shared the bread and cheese board, and surprisingly, the pear with the date spread was probably one of my favorite bites. The pear was crisp and fresh, and that sweet, rich date spread was seriously addictive. I kept going back for more. The bread, nuts, cheese, and other little bites on the board made it really fun to share. The drinks were refreshing too, and the presentation was beautiful without trying too hard. Definitely one of those places where I'd come back with friends for a slow weekend brunch. The food was good, but the charming patio and overall vibe were probably my favorite part.

For $69, we have amuse bouche, free bread sticks, appetizer, main dish and a dessert. The portion is generous! For amuse-bouche, we had quiche and bacon on top. It is not the usual bacon. It tasted like Vietnamese beef jerky... quite a surpise! For appetizer, we had gazpacho and beet salad. Both are very refreshing and perfect for summer time. For main dish, steak and chillean seabass. For desserts, we had tiramisu and cheese cake. Everything is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I have not had one bad dish here!

We were there for breakfast and there was only one server - he was a hard worker. The environment is fairly large and simple. With the north facing wall being all window, it feels airy and open, you can see my inside and window view pics. We shared the Traditional Eggs Benedict and the Breakfast Bowl, see my pics. As you can see from my pics, the Traditional Eggs Benedict weren't quite up to par. The poached eggs were a bit under done. The hollandaise sauce was creamy but lacked the pinch of cayenne and a bit under flavored. The ham was ample but not so flavorful. There was a bed of spinach between the ham and English muffin. This was over cooked. The diced potatoes were nice and crunchy, but there wasn't any seasoning on them. On the other hand, the Breakfast Bowl was quite refreshing. My pic doesn't do justice to the freshness and variety of this bowl. The coconut milk was sweet and pared well with the fruit. The texture of the granola and coconut shaving nicely contrasted with the bananas and berries. Mixed through the coconut milk was the red quinoa which made the milk more substantial. This was a great way to eat healthy.

A small detail, but one I noticed. I ordered the buttermilk and corn pancakes with bacon, and they were really good. The pancakes have a dense, chewy texture, with little pieces of fresh corn throughout, which was a nice surprise. The maple syrup also came in a cute little can. The full order was more food than I could finish, so next time I'd probably get one pancake with a side of bacon. If you prefer lighter, fluffier pancakes, the texture may not be for you, but if you like something denser and chewier, they're worth trying. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict and thought they were good, but he probably wouldn't order them again. He prefers eggs Benedict on an English muffin, while Cheeky's serves theirs on a soft, biscuit-type bread. So this would mostly come down to personal preference. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was also really good. Overall, Cheeky's is a good choice if you want a pleasant patio, friendly service, fresh juice, and creative pancake options. Just keep in mind that the pancake portions are generous! We enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back.

I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. The decor is that of a mid century modern and is a really cozy quadrangle set up. The interior feels homey and the property is set up like an air bnb with shared amenities. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. (Old reviews mention happy hour, breakfast, snacks, etc. these are no longer offered but why not just bring your own?) Each room has microwave and mini fridge. Outdoor gas fire pit for use. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience. I left off one star because there are definitely areas of improvement that could be made but not enough to ruin my experience.
