We've been to the downtown Pomo as well as Rosso Italian that serves Pomo pizza. We enjoy the outdoor setting the Biltmore location provides, though we dined inside and it didn't feel too crowded once we sat down. We ordered the same plates that we tried at the downtown location for comparison. The Toto Sapore pizza was much better at Biltmore and we attribute that to a good amount of toppings, the crust is great. While we still enjoyed it at Biltmore, we felt the Gramigna Boscaiola had more flavor downtown. The Negroni cocktail was decent, though on the sweeter side. Our waiter, Jordan, was friendly and attentive, they really took our 4 star experience to a 5. Our order was correct, they had perfect timing for everything and really paid attention to our wants and needs. There is nothing fancy about this place. Service is just ok, food is just ok. The place is not very clean. There is stuff stored above the ceiling over the cooking area and it is very dirty. Also there is glassware above the bar that doesn't look like it has been cleaned in a long time. It's just not an inviting place. read more

Great service! Enjoyed 2 slices of the Don pizza and a side ceasar. It was absolutely fabulous! I added hot honey and it was sublime! Took leftovers to hubby and he was also impressed! It's our wedding anniversary and we were both craving Pomo pizza- so here we are. We split the Bruschetta and a Quattro Formaggio pizza - everything tasted fabulous. The weather is overcast and moody, so we sat in a corner inside. I had a glass of wine and hubby had a Peroni- total for all about $50 before tip. It's small, but we enjoy the ambiance here. Between the three POMO Pizzeria locations, I have dined in at this chain of restaurants over 150 times! From their lunch specials, to Happy Hour, to their Neapolitan fare, I am always very happy with their offerings, no matter what time of the day. This specific location at the Biltmore is hands down my favorite due to their service. Ricky, one of their lead bartenders, makes the experience special every time. He gives great recommendations and is very knowledgeable with their food and wine menu. He adds character and his expertise to POMO and I always appreciate his great customer service! POMO is a go to for me for pizza, appetizers, and cocktails. The thin crust of the pizza is amazing and the proportions of the toppings are always spot on. You also must get an appetizer while eating here. We tried both the caprese and the fried zucchini and both were delicious. As for the salads, we weren't a huge fan of the panzenella. I split the salad with one other person and we both agreed that there were not enough peaches in the salad as we both only got about 2 peach slices. However, you can't miss out on the espresso martinis here at Pomo. They are at the top of my list for the best espresso martini in Phoenix . I was walking past Pomo and finally decided to give it a try. We sat at the bar, since it was fairly busy on a weeknight. The bartenders were very helpful with our order. We ordered the margarita pizza and salad. The pastas looked very delicious, but I wanted to finally check out the pizza after hearing lots of great reviews. I loved the salad, but was slightly underwhelmed by the pizza. It was still tasty, but I thought it was a bit too cheesy and wish there was more basil. The dough was great though. We had a really good dinner at this Pomo location. We normally go to the downtown Phoenix location but decided to come here instead. The space is a little smaller but we loved the outdoor patio space. It was pretty comfortable and very enjoyable on a nice night. The service was very fast and our waitress was attentive. They brought out our food pretty fast after ordering. The burrata was a nice appetizer to share and was what you'd expect from burrata. As for pizzas, we tried the margherita pizza and the quattro stagioni pizza. It wasn't on the menu but I asked for anchovies and they were able to add them to the margherita pizza. Came her on a Sunday evening. We come here quite often. But this night the employees were arguing with each other. Then complain how it's always slow here and they work so many hours and don't make any money. And how they make more money on sports betting! It was stressful dining here today. My husband and I absolutely love a date night at Pomo Pizzeria, the biltmore location specifically! The atmosphere is intimate and lively and the staff is so kind and welcoming! The food/cocktail service is quick and the presentation is 10/10. I love pizza ALOT and theirs are artisanal while flavorful. I will say though that their gramigna boscaiola pasta truly gives their pizza a run for its money! WOW it's probably one of the best pastas we've ever had. You have got to try it!! I do love POMO! I love their pizzas , and I frequently dine in. I ordered takeout tonight, pizza and a Romana salad, which is their version of a caesar salad. I order it every time I dine in, and have never found rotting ingredients in it. Tonight, I got home and opened the salad, only to find the most disgusting kale I have ever had in a salad. It bordered on rotten. I am pretty sure no staff or manager would have eaten the salad with that gross, rotten kale in it. Quality controls failed in this instance. Luckily, I had plenty of kale in my refrigerator and I removed the foul kale and added fresh. I will attach photos to show how far past fresh the kale they put in my salad was. Honestly, I will never order a salad there again, and I can only hope they aren't that sloppy with all their ingredients when they are making people's meals. We made a reservation and were sat outside when it was super cold, they put out heaters so it wasn't too bad but was definitely not expecting to be outside. We ordered the espresso martini tower which was cool but the espressos were super small and the cannoli one did not taste good :( The pumpkin martini was the best, personally was not a fan of any of the others. Another favorite and staple of mine! I visited this one the most since I lived closest to it, but I had also gone to the downtown Phoenix location a few times before moving to Biltmore. Dtphx was nice because they had gelato! I came here countless times (I think I had even been when it was previously Wink 24 pizza which I enjoyed before the changeover). The Biltmore location was just the perfect treat for any and every occasion - afternoon happy hour, break from shopping, date night, catching up with friends. Great fried calamari and meatball appetizers. As far as pizza, the diavola and toto sapore were probably my favorites. But couldn't go wrong with principe, quattro cheese, and capricciosa. My favorite pasta by far was the gramigna boscaiola, the flavors still linger in my taste buds to this day! Their drinks were amazing too. Of course they had a great wine selection, but their cocktails were creative, fun, strong, and tasty! They used to have a GREAT happy hour (half off drinks) but I think it has since changed to a limited menu and less of a discount- still totally worth going any time though! Service was always pleasant and friendly. I also loved their live music on Fridays/Saturdays, especially when I was able to sit by the fire pit to enjoy it all. At one point, they had a pizza and penny prosecco special (bottle of prosecco for a penny with any pizza purchase) and that was just a steal - reminded me of Federal Pizzas weekly promotion. Came with some work associates for lunch. We had a reservation based on past experience at how busy this location gets during the lunch hour. Was 12:30 and basically there were only a few tables taken. We were actually surprised at the lack of customers and got a bit worried! I ordered the Kale Romano, which is their take on a Caesar salad with the addition of kale. I'm not a big kale person but the salad was fresh and the kale didn't take over the taste from the romaine. The dressing is light and flavorful with a perfect hint of garlic. I had ordered ice tea and taken the lemon out and squeezed it over the salad to add a bit of zest. Very good! Ordered the Salsiccia Funghi pizza, which is basically sausage and mushroom. Pomo's crust is so good with that perfectly cooked, charred in places, and a good pull of crust. It is what makes their pizzas! The toppings are what makes a great pizza as well and this pizza had a good amount of sausage and mushrooms and their sauce is so good, a great balance of tangy and sweet marinara. I was missing the basil...which you will notice on the photo! I love the addition of basil because it just helps to bring a bit of freshness to the pizza. Not complaining because overall the pizza was delicious! I'm just reporting on what I had this time around because it was a bit awkward to include other business-related coworkers this time around. Will add that their portion sizes are good for two and I actually brought home half the salad and pizza for my wife! I typically explain my star ratings with my reviews so why just 3? Service was ok, not as attentive as we've experienced previously. It was obvious that one of the servers was distracted and not really present with the work. A co-worker had requested no cheese on her pasta dish (an allergy) and it was served with parmesan sprinkled all over. When asked, the server immediately said, no I told them no cheese but upon closer inspection, agreed that there was cheese and took it back to the kitchen. Took few minutes for a new dish to arrive which was fine because there was conversation about whether they would just scrape off the top and cover it with sauce.
