This place is the classic example of "Don't judge a book by its cover"!!! When I first walked in, right off the bat I thought I might have made a mistake. The barbers were three older women, the shop didn't have that classic barber shop feel, and everyone in there was speaking Spanish!!! I was waiting for about 5 minutes thinking of a way to leave without being noticed, when I was called to sit on the barber chair. I wasn't sure if my barber was even going to understand what I wanted, but it was too late to back out. All I could do was brace myself. She asked me how I wanted my cut, in a surprisingly decent English (keep in mind when I walked in I didn't even think anyone spoke English) so I told her what I wanted. I thought....Oh damn ! Here we go!!!! When she started I was watching everything she did just in case I had to tell her that what she was doing was not what I wanted. But she was doing everything exactly what I wanted. I relaxed and just let her cut away. By the time she was done, I knew that I found my go to barber shop. I've been to a few different Shops in and around Pomona and Chino; all the barbers were men and all of them were pretty good. But this was by far the best place I have ever gotten my haircut. I'm not sure why there's not enough people giving this place a review. Maybe not enough people know about it. If you're looking for a no frills, minimal conversation with barber, best deal for a hair cut... You seriously need to try this place out!!!! Don't let the place fool you, the ladies here are just as good and probably even better than most barbers out there!!!! read more

I was looking for a place to cut my hair since my boss wanted me to tidy up. I came across Pomona Barbershop through Yelp. Right from the getgo, I felt at home. The lady that helped me, Alejandra, was very friendly and made me feel like I was a regular customer of theirs. I would recommend this place to anybody. By the way, this is the original Pomona Barbershop with an all lady crew, there's another barbershop by the same name at White Avenue, which is the fake one...lol... This place is so rude the women do not speak English!!! I didn't even get greeted when I walked in the owner of the shop is very rude an unprofessional I waited for a half hour only to find out I was supposed to sign in which like I said I wasn't even acknowledged when I walked in and she very well knew my son was next we had been waiting for over half hour and she never once bother to say can you please sign in which is so rude considering it was my first time ever going here what a waste of my time. Looks can be deceiving might be in a kind of bad area of Pomona but there this one lady that cut my hair so perfect I was like damm for an affordable price you can't go wrong. read more

Great Barber shop. I've been going to this place for years now. I've gotten my haircut with every single barber at this place and every single one does an amazing job. They take their time, which concludes in a perfect cut. After a while I decided to stick to one barber which is Rosita (She's the 2nd one from the entrance). She does an amazing job with every hairstyle I want. She just recently started cutting my sons hair and she had so much patience with him (He's only 1). She left his hair just how I wanted it. I've enjoyed coming to this location, haircuts are done on point, might wait long and the women are friendly but, every time I come to this barbershop. The owner takes her time but talks way too much and gets easily distracted Charges the people while cutting hair which for one, I don't let her do my haircut while touching money. I definitely give it a 5 star for the other stylists/barbers but, the owner gets a 1 star. read more
