    Chipotle burrito

Great spot in Island Park for food. There's also a lodge attached as well. Mornings are usually pretty slow but seems like lunch and dinner can be really busy - we also were here in the winter so just less people in general. The food is delicious - the breakfast burrito was one of the best I've had. The tots were crispy and had great crunch.

I booked a full day float trip with the team at Trout Hunter and had an awesome day of fishing on the Henry's Fork with guide, Jon Lewis. What made the day special was when the trout decided they liked hoppers on the top and Jon put me on them. Highly recommend Trout Hunter for Henry's Fork guided trips!

Awesome views! Sit on the deck!!

This review is for the restaurant portion of Trouthunter. If you walk through the restaurant (or around the back) you will find a great patio with a lovely view of the river. There is not a visible road on that side of the restaurant and you can enjoy the fields of cows, running water and mountains from your table. We saw a golden eagle fishing when we were there. The food is just ok for normal standards, but good if you consider that there really isn't much else in the area. The fries and wings seemed like they were frozen instead of made on site, but they still tasted like fries and wings - not bad or anything, just standard. . Mushrooms on the mushroom bruscetta (I think they were wild) were great, but the bruscetta as a dish was sort of weird - the bread was too thick, like garlic bread or something and the dish didn't really go together. The steak sandwich was big enough to share. All in all nothing was *great* but the prices were reasonable and the view made it worth it. Good beer selection and friendly service.

    Soup Of The Day!

It was getting late and we were looking for a decent place to eat at. This place came up and it had pretty decent reviews so I was like why not try it. We drove up and the place is a little confusing. It was dark outside so we thought they were closed but they weren't. We walked up and just sat down. There were a handful of people there so it wasn't too busy. Our server Karisa came up to us and she was really nice and helpful. We weren't too sure on what items to order and she recommend the burgers and the Salmon. I had the soup of the day which was amazing. My burger was great and huge. I also tried the Bloody Mary and that was very well made! Best Bloody Mary I had the entire trip up North. We opted for desert and they had a seasonal desert and said it was the last one they had for the day. That was very good too! I had a wonderful and relaxing time here. Thank you!

The jalapeño chicken sandwich changed my life. I wasn't even hungry and still think it's the best sandwich I've ever had in my life.

The rooms were spacious and super clean. The staff is super nice and the breakfast is delicious with a pancake making machine. If you have a family trip or just passing through, this is definitely a recommend. Can't wait to have more time to hangout, next time we stay.

After checkout, I discovered a $20+ charge on my card for a supposed "welcome gift box" that I never received and was never told about. According to the hotel, it included a small stuffed animal and some Snickers -- except none of it was in the room. When I called to dispute the charge, I got bounced between staff and management. They claimed they did an "investigation," but still refused to refund me. Charging guests for items they never received and then refusing to resolve it feels deceptive and extremely unprofessional. Advice for future guests: the second you enter your room, take timestamped photos or videos of everything before touching anything. Then immediately ask the front desk if there are any paid gift boxes or welcome items connected to your stay. If they say yes, do NOT go check by yourself -- bring a supervisor or manager into the room with you so everything is documented on the spot. Otherwise, you could end up being charged for something that was never there. Unfortunately, this felt less like a misunderstanding and more like a scam-style scheme hoping guests won't notice until they're already miles away.

Actually, there is indeed a village of brand new cabins situated right off the highway. Not near a meadow or wildlife. There is still landscaping and driveway work going on. You cannot drive to your cabin but are welcome to use a wagon to haul your stuff. There is no coffee maker or hair dryer. Coffee is available inside the office. There is a refrigerator and ice is available. I didn't see any bicycles to use as advertised on hotels.com but there's really no place to ride them anyway. The TV is great! You can watch Netflix and Roku by entering your account number. There is a table and two stools, a loveseat, and a coffee table. We had two Queen beds and there were plenty of electrical outlets. Couldn't figure out the wall air conditioner but the nights are cool. There is a bathroom with tub in the cabin. I'm giving 3.5 stars for the nice new bedding and towels, the cabin itself, and the promising future of Cabin Village. It is about 25 miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park, there is a grocery store and gas station across the road and a couple restaurants on the other side of the highway.

Rating the restaurant which only offers a tasting menu (pick one appetizer, one entree and one…read moredessert from the 3-4 options in each section and the price you pay is the price of the entree which is between $65-80 per person). The restaurant itself is nicely decorated (feels like you are in an upscale cabin) with a few tables and some tables outside. They bring out bread to the table with olive oil and tomato puree, but my gripe is they brought 4 small slices of bread in a basket to our table of 4. We had to ask for more bread twice (once to soak up the sauce from the appetizers). They could definitely be more generous with the bread, but that is minor. For my appetizer I ordered the gnocchi (brown butter sauce with crispy prosciutto, sage and mushrooms) which was absolutely delicious, I just wish it was a slightly bigger portion. I know it is a starter, but I always want more than 6 or so gnocchi. The texture was perfect, pillowy and soaked up the sauce nicely. For my entree I ordered the beef medallions in a green peppercorn sauce with asparagus and potatoes au gratin. This dish was also divine (though I could have done with fewer peppercorns). The meat was cooked perfectly and was a nice sized portion (6 medium slices of steak). The asparagus and au gratin were very tasty and went well with the dish. Others had the halibut with farrow which they enjoyed, especially the tomato jam on top of the fish though I think the beef was the better of the two dishes. There were 4 desserts and 4 of us so we tried all four. There was a blood orange sorbet (way too sour for my liking), bananas foster cake, ice cream with fresh berries and a chocolate bread pudding. We enjoyed them all (others like the sorbet) and one in our group said the desserts were the best course. Overall we had a really nice meal and it is fairly good value for the quality and for being a 3 course menu. The only thing to improve here is the service. They only had 3 servers we saw and while our waitress was friendly, she seemed new and overwhelmed. We had to ask for out water to be refilled a few times, for more bread (we asked, it did not arrive and we had to ask again), and she did not come by our table often. She had forgotten a request to put a sauce on the side (no big deal) and we had to flag her down for the bill. Again not a huge detractor, but for an upscale restaurant you would expect more attentive service. All that said, the food was fantastic and I would recommend coming here for dinner.
