On my latest visit, I ordered the OG chicken plate online. It was ready for me when I went to pick it up. The staff had included everything I needed in the bag. While the food tasted great, I was extremely disappointed in the serving size. It has definitely declined over the years. Disappointing.

So there is an abundance of fast food restaurants around Alpharetta but the service, experience, and prices are what sets this place apart. Here is the summary of my visit to the Ponko chicken Alpharetta location Ambiance 5/5: The ambiance is very peppy and has a young vibe. The art design looks very modern. It could be a good hangout place for youngsters Service 5/5: We were greeted cheerfully and the reception was really helpful with our order. They also informed us about the BOGO offer and waited while we skimmed through the menu to make a decision, Also, when my friend received the wrong order, they were so nice to let her keep it and brought her the right dish which was really nice of them Food Quality 4.5/5: I really like the chicken fingers with the side that I ordered but I did not like the side which was a salad with island veggies. The jerk chicken side was really good and reminded me of Indian flavors. The portion sizes were really big as well Value for Money 5/5: This is because we had a BOGO offer and also the portion sizes were really good. All in all, great service and experience. I would definitely visit this place again and totally recommended it for a great experience when you are craving some fried chicken that is not too heavy on your pocket Indian taste ALERT: If you want to have some chicken with Indian flavors, try the grilled chicken with jerk sauce as a side( I do not remember the exact name but do check with them once)

Ponko Alpharetta was my highly anticipated restaurant opening of 2021. I've been a fan of Ponko for over a decade now, since their first location in Stone Mountain. My friends and I were devastated when that one closed, but were revived when they re-opened in Chamblee. Now I don't have to drive to Atlanta or Marietta for a taste of Ponko. There's finally one near me! Been here a handful of times now and have met several of their team members, including the wonderful owners, Rick and Sue. Rick and Sue are always there, helping out and even serving customers. Their team is friendly and efficient. Since I don't eat meat anymore, I always get the tofu tenders OG style with brown rice. Fortunately for me, they taste almost exactly like the delicious chicken. The breading and flavor are the same. I've also tried some of the sides, green beans, sweet potatoes, salad, etc and they're all delicious. Can't go wrong with any of them. The space is bright and clean. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Full bar. They also have occasional live music on the weekends. Will definitely be a frequent customer here!

Ponko chicken salad with Japanese pickles and spicy chicken tenders with buttermilk ranch.

Ponko has great chicken tenders and salad. My favorite is the spicy and OG sauce. I love their Japanese marinated pickles and their fries with foodie flakes for a side. The entree salad is huge and comes with five cut up tenders to put on it. You can get grilled or fried and it has homemade wontons, cabbage and carrots. All of their sauces and dressings are homemade and really good. My favorite is the sweet sesame and homemade buttermilk ranch. They also have a great chicken sandwich that comes with slaw on a Hawaiian bun. If you're in the area for taco Tuesday they have a great specials. The jalapeño lime cream for the tacos is really good. Definitely check it out if you're in downtown Alpharetta. Don't let the parking frustrate you.

They have a great thing going here. The chicken is both crispy and moist. It is a decent portion for the price. The three piece came with two sides. I went with the pickles and the coleslaw. The coleslaw was a huge success in my opinion. It tastes of sesame oil and was really fresh tasting. The pickles were also good however when I think of a side I envisioned more than the 4 pieces I received. Still.....they were good. The spicy sauce on the chicken was not too spicy in my opinion but it did have a solid flavor. The rice was cooked properly. Service was fine. I'd like to come back and try more dishes.

This is a brand new PONKO location that opened yesterday - and I couldn't be more excited about it! As someone who loves PONKO chicken, I've been anxiously awaiting their opening day and of course had to go on their opening day. We came by for dinner and could smell the just finished construction inside it's so new! The space is fairly small but cozy and we were still able to find some space apart from others despite having a fairly full restaurant on opening night. The workers were incredibly kind and helpful to those who had never been to PONKO before in explaining best sellers. When our food took a bit of time to come out (which we were not at all concerned about considering it was day 1) they proactively brought over two cookies for us as an apology for the wait. The food we got was incredibly fresh and obviously cooked to order - and of course amazing. The only thing I will say is that they don't QUITE seem to have the breading on the tenders down EXACTLY right yet. They seemed to have a bit too much breading on them and were overly crispy like they'd been left in a bit too long. They were still delicious, though, and I fully expect it was just a case of day 1 learning curve. Otherwise, it was exactly what I've come to expect from PONKO and I already can't wait to go back. If you've never tried PONKO and aren't sure about it -- I can assure you it's worth it. The best chicken in Atlanta, at least!

What made matters worse, she served another person who sat down after I did, which lead me back to the hostess desk because I did not want to have a bad experience at the bar!!! I sat outside and the wait was very long before a familiar waiter (the saving grace of this experience) came along. Another waiter brought my drink spilling out and I had to ask for napkins, otherwise it would be a mess. Food is always on point! I had the 'Fruit of the Sea' Special. DELICIOUS!! Service from my waiter, Curtis, was EXCELLENT and exceeded my expectations!! I've been to Coalition a few times before because it is my go-to for seafood. The service was excellent and very attentive. Since it was our first time visiting, our server took the time to explain some of the most popular menu items as well as their personal favorites. Based on their recommendations, we ordered the seafood platter, which was just enough for two people to share. If you have a bigger appetite, though, you may still want to order an additional entrée alongside it. The only downside was a noticeable odor when walking inside the restaurant. It smelled like a mix of bleach water and stagnant or dirty water. It's something they should definitely address, but it wasn't enough to negatively impact our overall experience. We will absolutely be back and will probably choose the patio again if the weather cooperates.

We started with martinis and (how can you mess up a martini) the olives had no flavor, and we asked for more vermouth because the martinis tasted watered down, which was strange. We also ordered a bottle of Cabernet sauvignon, which was good. We ordered the mussels appetizer, which was very tasty and served with French fries, also tasty. My husband ordered the steak au poivre, which was full of gristle, so he sent it back. I ordered the Morel pasta dish, which our waitress recommended. This dish was not good at all. The mushrooms were diced tiny with some strange flavor, which I couldn't eat, so I sent this back! My husband then ordered the scallops, which were very good. I ordered the Baratta which came with sourdough bread. The Baratta was good, but there was about a half cup of chopped parsley on the plate, which was very odd. It was like a parsley salad, which is inedible. Parsley should be used as a garnish or a sprinkle as a flavoring, not as a main component like a salad. I didn't say anything to the waitress, because I was tired of complaining. We were very disappointed in this restaurant and will not be returning.

As a self-described foodie, I'm always searching for restaurants that offer creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes with plenty of variety. Foundation exceeded every expectation. I ordered every dish the staff recommended, and each one was outstanding. Julio provided attentive, knowledgeable service, and you can tell Chef Mel and his wife, Sandy, have poured their hearts into every aspect of the dining experience. Their attention to detail is remarkable--they genuinely care that every bite is exactly as it should be, and it shows. We started with the Crisp Spanish Octopus and the mushroom ravioli. Julio also suggested adding an order of bread to soak up the incredible sauces, and I'm so glad he did--not a drop was left on the plate. For my entrée, I chose the scallops, and they were cooked perfectly. I even skipped most of the accompanying beans to save room for dessert, which turned out to be one of the best decisions of the night. The blueberry olive cake with blueberry sorbet was phenomenal and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and refreshingly free of distractions, allowing the food and conversation to take center stage. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with incredible food, outstanding hospitality, and an environment where every detail matters, Foundation Eatery is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back. PS. I can't believe they have a burger on the menu. I'd try that based on everything else!

I decided to utilize the patio, I told the greeter not to forget about us. lol At the time we went it was not very crowded. There were quite a few people but not overwhelming. There were nice animal pictures on the wall, maybe the head of a bison was there. Lots of Liquor behind the bar on display and part of the decor. The doors were a little decorated for the holiday.Big wooden doors. The patio did have televisions there but they were low so if I wanted to hear I couldn't. There was a football game on so we kinda looked at it from time to time. Even though it was my birthday the restaurant didn't do anything for me. No deserts, no happy birthday, no cheers!!, nothing like that. When celebrating a birthday I look forward to small things like that if a restaurant offers it. I ordered a cucumber martini. Didn't like it so we know we wont be ordering that again. The food was ok, nothing to complain about there. I don't know why I didn't take a picture but I had the B&B Burger with smoked bleu cheese. The atmosphere felt like a casual new age, better, slightly more upscale and elegant version of Applebees, if that makes sense. Homey vibe but elegantly casual? Off rip I ordered a sweet tea which was phenomenal. It tasted like it has a slight peach undertone to it, and it was the right amount of sweet. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp as my appetizer and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and brussels (I dont like coleslaw). I was told the bacon wrapped shrimp was a new menu item. For $19? They were cool. The fried chicken was really good. It was still steaming hot inside, when I took my first bite. The chicken was tender and had a good crunch to it. The brussels were okay. I typically like a more sweet glaze on my brussels but they did the job. I liked the mashed potatos, they were a little runny; the gravy made up for that though. I'm not a biscuit person but the biscuit that came with this meal was very soft, fluffy, moist, and had butter throughout. It was a bummer the only choices of hot sauce available were Tabasco and Cholula. I usually like Texas Pete, Crystal, or Louisiana hot sauce in my chicken. I WILL say, the monkey bread was SOOOOO good. So soft, warm, with apples and vanilla ice cream. If I knew it was this good I would have ordered 2 to go.
