Our entrees were flavorful and as expected for a good Thai restaurant with plentiful portions! I personally didn't enjoy the mango sticky rice too much. It just contained too much condensed milk on the top and became overpowering for the sticky rice and mango pieces that I then tried to eat separately. This is one of the best Thai spots in the north DMA. They are always friendly, inviting, and make you want to come back. It also helps that the food is Uber delicious! I've been coming here for a while now and can't believe I'm just now writing a review. Every dish is made fresh to order and you can taste the freshness in every bite (kinda sounds like a gum or mouthwash commercial). My go to is the Yellow Curry Fried rice with chicken. I've had it before from other restaurants and they don't hold a candle to this one! The flavors meld together like a well done Instagram collage. Another entree we get is the pad see ew. Again simple, fresh, and knockout delicious. A sleeper item is the orange chicken. Crispy, tangy, sweet, and fresh deliver mouthwatering bites. With my huge sweet tooth, the highlights of the meal were the mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream and Thai tea. The dessert was PERFECT-- ripe and juicy mango with the warm, coconutty sticky rice and nutty sesame seeds on top. I'm still thinking about it! Pineapple fried rice with tofu was delicious, and pad see ew with tofu was wonderful, too. The broccoli and greens in the noodles were amazing. Service was fantastic!!! Food was excellent! The restaurant is very nice inside. The staff were wonderful and polite. There was a family celebrating their kid's birthday and it was very sweet. Finally! A Thai food restaurant close to home! This place is great. From the moment I called and placed my order to the moment I left with my bag-o-goodies, the staff was warm, welcoming, and super friendly. I ordered the Panang Curry with chicken, Pad See Ewe with shrimp, and Eggplant Stir Fried with beef; all at a medium spice level. The Panang Curry was sooo super yummy. The chicken was tender, juicy, and paired well with the curry. The Pad See Ewe with shrimp was tasty. The shrimp were a good size, not overcooked, and the broccoli had a nice crisp crunch. The Eggplant Stir Fried was delicious, but spicy as heck! No matter the spice level you pick for this dish, it will be Thai-spicy because of the Thai chilis that come in the dish. Next time I order this, I will request no Thai chilis. Thank goodness I ordered a Thai iced tea because it really helped cool the spice of the Eggplant Stir Fried dish. My husband is obsessed with Thai food, and we've struggled to find good Thai food near us. I stumbled across Ponsawan on Yelp and was so excited to try it! Overall very good, but still not that "wow" factor that we were looking for. We shared the tofu pad see ewe with tofu, yellow curry fried rice with tofu, and vegetable egg rolls. The egg rolls were crispy on the outside and the filling was tasty. These weren't especially remarkable, but still good! The curry fried rice had good flavor and I loved the vegetables in it. The portion was huge as well. Next time I will ask for a higher spice level though, because it didn't have a ton of bite. The pad see ewe was the best dish that we ordered. It had a perfect amount of sauce (I hate dry Thai food!), and was sooo tasty. We will definitely be ordering this again, and will probably try more noodle dishes in the future after having this one. The food was great! I absolutely loved it here and haven't really dived into Thai cuisine. We had thai iced tea and shrimp egg rolls. The curry was medium spiced but wanted it spicier so they brought a container of spices to the table so I can make it as spicy as I wanted to. Ponsawan just opened and so it didn't have a lot of reviews, but as you can read, the reviews were all very good. So for my birthday, I decided to go to Broomfield to try it out. Ponsawan was excellent. The service was so good. In fact they sang Happy Birthday to me and even had a little video screen that had Happy Birthday on it. The food was really good as well. I ordered the pad thai and couldn't help but eat the entire thing. Also the dumplings were great too. I sampled the pineapple rice and it was great too. The service here has always been great as the women there a kind when taking your order. They will always try to upsell you for their mango sticky rice and you know what it's delicious! Met a friend here for dinner after she highly recommended it. First off, the environment was very inviting and the staff are very friendly. While it is a solidly good Thai option up North Denver Metro, I don't share my friends belief in it being one of the best. I had the Pad See Ewe pork spicy and we shared the papaya salad. The Pad See Ewe had a good sweet garlicky flavor, though maybe a bit too saucy and was the right spice level. However, the papaya salad had way too much citrus and wasn't balanced at all with the fish sauce so that was disappointing as I love papaya salad. My friend also noted this was different than the first few times she went so it may just be an off day. Anyway, it's always good to have more Asian food options up North. I would still recommend this place if you are looking for Thai as it is inviting and a good place to meet friends. read more

This place is a winner!! I've been searching for a go to Thai place near my house that reminds me of flavorful and not too heavy Thai I used to get on the East Coast. The pineapple fried rice had subtle hints of curry and was delicious. My husband got the grilled chicken which was marinated for days. Both were full of flavor and just simply delicious. The food is always incredible tasting and authentic. There is something special for everyone on the menu. My husband always gets the pad Thai, I love the chicken curry my oldest son loves the ribs. I saw this place suggested on a denver foodie group and decided to try this place out. It is located around shopping area so theres plenty of parking. The inside looks homey and clean. Our server was nice and lovely as well. Now for the food: We got fried wonton and papaya salad (level 7 for spicy) both were delicious. The fried wonton surprised us the most because it looks so simple, yet is packed with flavor. The dipping sauce compliments the wontons really well. The papaya salad was also good. It gets spicier the more you eat it. The portion is way too small tho compared to other thai places, which was unfortunate! The chicken pad thai was my favorite. The noodle is chewy, the sauce was creamy and the tamarind flavor comes through. Once again, the portion is way too small compared to other places. We got large tom yum (level 7 spicy) which was comforting. Worth the try. Overall everything was good, lived up to the hype. Located in an unassuming strip mall, I was unsure of the quality and authenticity of the food but thanks to good old Yelp reviews and seeing the amount of trending orders, I knew I was in good hands for a satisfying meal. Once I got my food I was blown away. Delicious, authentic and plentiful. The owner even came out and introduced herself, which was a pleasant touch to the service. She is from California and we had a little bit of convo in Thai. Great experience. Been back 2x since then and would highly recommend this place. Excellent Thai cuisine. They have an extensive menu with several vegetarian/vegan choices. Every dish we've ordered has been delicious. Their sweet and sour is perfection -- delicately sweet tangy without being overbearing (not that bright red gooey sauce so many restaurants serve). You have your choice of spiciness. The service was impeccable -- prompt, pleasant and accommodating. Every dish was delivered hot. Our water glasses were never empty and drink refills were offered. The restaurant decor is tasteful and festive without some of the trite, cheesy decor of others. The lighting is subdued and attractive. The restaurant is immaculate, including the restrooms.
