Came here for an early dinner with my mom and we loved it. We started with a glass of wine in the tasting room as we waited for a table at the restaurant. The wait was 90 min so if you're not into waiting, make a reservation. My mom and I both think the 90 min was worth the wait. We explored the grounds with our wine and enjoyed the scenery then enjoyed a lovely dinner. What's not to love? The restaurant was delicious. First of all, the bread they serve is delectable regardless of it being served cold. If you want warm bread go to Cheesecake Factory. We shared the sea pasta which thoroughly impressed me. The seafood was fresh and you get a healthy amount of it. I really loved how there was a good ratio of pasta to seafood and other ingredients. Also had the Caesar salad which was good. It was my first time at a winery for a friend birthday. We had reservations at 2pm and got seated right away. They had complimentary bread with this green dipping sauce which was sooo good ! For appetizers, I order the calamari which came with a green sauce and a marinara sauce. I ordered the prosciutto pizza and it was sooooo good! Service was really great! My party enjoyed all their food and drinks. After we finished eating, we walked around and went for wine tasting (I didn't have any alcoholic beverage) but according to my party, they would definitely recommend this winery! The view here is beautiful! There is a lovely little garden area with a fountain and the bullfrogs sing there at night. I thought it was piped in music for ambiance, but the frogs actually live there! The view is over the vineyards with the mountains in the backdrop. A little trellis makes me think they have weddings here at this spot. We ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner! For lunch we split a hamburger and a salad with blue cheese, pomegranate seeds, and candied pecans. It was the perfect lunch to split with my husband. I ordered a sample of three different wines. It came out on a neat serving easel with all the wines neatly labeled. For dinner I had the steak and my husband had the seafood pasta. He had them spice up his pasta to a number 4, and he said that it was perfect. The meal is served with a fresh little loaf of cheese crusted bread with rosemary. I think it would have been better served warm, but it comes out cold. There is a side of dipping sauce that is unlike any I've had before. It tasted like an Italian dressing but it was green colored. I ordered the NY strip steak and it was served with grilled asparagus and the garlic roasted potatoes. We were celebrating my birthday, so I was given this little brownie sundae, but no candle on it. My friends still sang Happy Birthday to me anyway! My other friend ordered a cheesecake that had blueberries on it but she said it had blue cheese inside it and that made for a very different kind of taste. There were live musicians playing Saturday night. It was very cold out, make sure you tip them if you go here! They make up most of the ambiance here! Lastly, it was cold outside, and I had a heavy coat on, There are heaters inside the outdoor eating space, and they pull the screens down. Between 3-4 stars. I've been here twice. The scenery and location is absolutely gorgeous. Walk around the property and it marvel at the landscape! The al fresco seating has a really nice ambiance. This is all 5 stars. The food, however, is overpriced for what it is. The service is ok at best. We had to remind our waiter to bring us dishes, which they thought had already been served. The pizza dough was practically raw and another one had to be made. By the time it came out we were all ready to leave because it took so long. The Bolognese was just all right in my opinion but the rest of my party thought it was the best thing we got. The halibut special had a yummy sauce but the dish itself was overcooked and the parsnip and sweet potato purées were bland and lumpy in texture. We stayed at pontes hotel and the service was excellent throughout. The hotel Manager Mackenzie checked in on us during our stay and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Anthony and Hunter kept our drinks topped off and had some excellent drink recommendations at the pool bar. A well oiled establishment to say the least. EVERYONE was friendly and outgoing. 110% worth the stay. I recommended it to my friends and family and they had the exact same pleasant experience. A meal at Ponte is always amazing! It's been quite a while since I've been able to enjoy one, and NYE dinner seemed like the perfect time to enjoy! It was a preset menu of three courses. A pesto crustini to start was quite good, you can appreciate the freshness of the garden delicacies. Though just one crustini was served to each person, was a bit distasteful. The server then brought Ponte's famous scallion oil dipping sauce a s a loaf of their fresh herbed focaccia bread to the table. The scallion oil is absolutely amazing. I selected the shrimp and potato soup which was carefully cultivated for a perfect medley of fresh flavoring. I selected the filet for my meal option, which was absolutely delicious. Prepared perfectly medium and full of flavor. The desert options for the evening were a bit anticlimactic. Choices of Lava Cake, White Chocolate Mouse and a Creme Brûlée. First time I was back after COVID started. The wine tasting area was packed. The majority of the people there are not wearing a mask. I felt uneasy and uncomfortable. The entire time at the tasting room, I made sure I was facing away from the crowd. I noticed the price of wine tasting was higher. We were waiting for somebody to assist us, and somehow there was confusion about who will help us with the wine tasting. I made the reservation for a birthday dinner, and my instruction was not followed. I wanted a cake with one candle for the birthday celebrant. That did not happen. The bill for five people was close to $500! The price went up. We only ordered one bottle of Tempranillo, pizza, salad, beef & risotto, cioppino, and filet. I think the food is way overpriced. I get they're trying to make up during the lockdown but dang! The price of their wine went up as well. If you plan to eat here, prepare to pay a hefty price. Ponte is the first of what we expect to be many visits to the Temecula wineries. The venue is nice, large tasting area, onsite restaurant and even a resort to stay when visiting the area. Our wine steward for the day was Andrea. She mentioned to us that she has been with Ponte for 9 years. We were provided a tasting menu that allows you to pick 6 wines to taste for $30 per person. Each taste consist of 1 ounce each pour. We were provided 16 choices on the menu and another 4 choices not featured on the menu. To enhance our experience we decide to order different wines as to at least sample 12 wines they make. Since we were good kids, Andrea treated us to a couple other wines off the menu. "Elite tip", be a good kid when wine tasting. My initial observation is Temecula wines are leaner than the bold wines we are used to from Paso and the Napa region. They have decent fruit but no weight on the tongue (my observation only). Standouts from this tasting included their Pinot Noir from Oregon, their Rose from Oregon and their Petite Sirah. Ponte offers a wine club membership which allows you a discount on wines as well as the ability to taste for free or have a glass of wine daily. It is a commitment of purchasing 15 wines and 1 magnum annually and also provides a discount at the restaurant and resort. We opted to pass on the wine club membership for now as this is only our first visit to the Temecula Wine Country. My observation: Ponte is a nice venue to enjoy wine and provides for a nice experience. I give it only 4 stars because I was not wowed by the wine. As we explore other options in Temecula I may conclude Ponte is number 1 in the area. That is yet to be determined. read more

Beautiful, but just got largely ignored by the lady with long blonde hair. Place had just opened and was not busy. Told us we had to stand near her so she didn't have to walk as much. Then, when more people came in and stood at the other end, she served them and just kept zooming back and forth past us. She kept serving everyone but us. My first time here last weekend to celebrate my cousins birthday. Love at first sight. Gorgeous tasting room with high ceilings and beautiful interiors.They have home decor items for sell as well as some food items such as olive oil, spices, vinegar etc. I absolutely love places like this. The wine tasting experience was awesome. Great wines to chose from. We ended up buying few bottles of their white wine. The employees were nice and friendly. Even though we weren't staying at the hotel we did stop by to check it out. What a beautiful and peaceful place to spend a weekend. I can't wait to stay here and enjoy the amenities. I'm going to base my review of Ponte on their restaurant and staff. Five stars all around. Their wine isn't really my thing here in Socal. I apologize, it's just not my style. We do frequent the restaurant here though and it never disappoints! The food is fresh and delicious, choices for all and everyone. Yesterday we wanted to spoil a retired pal so we stopped in exclusively for this treat without a reservation a little after lunch time, about 1.30. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Though a water greeter tried to bring us that amazing bread, we declined and asked for dessert menu. The dessert here is exquisite and they have cappuccino and espresso available too. I took some photos to tantalize your sweet tooth. I always say a coffee house/ pastry shop would make a large fortune in Temecula's wine country. Then I waited 15 min more for a check assuming since my drink didn't get ordered he would see me with my card out making eye contact 2Xs. Let me remind you card was out. Still no service. Came at the last minute to pick up a bottle of wine for dinner. The tasting room is wonderful and spacious but very busy on weekends. I'm not sure exactly how much a wine tasting is, because as soon as I let them know I was going to buy a bottle, they immediately starting pouring wines for us to try. The man that helped me was very informative and told us about the different grapes they used. We tasted a couple reds, however we were mainly looking for a white to pair with our dinner we were making. We ended up buying a white called Pastorello. The grapes are from the southern part of Italy where the climate is warm and dry. Since Temecula has a similar climate, the grapes do well and the end result is a delicious wine. This wine is refreshing and crisp with hints of mango and honey with minerality on the back end. The wine was $30 plus tax, so it's more than I was expecting to pay for wine in this area. However, this wine was worth it and I highly recommend when you want something refreshing on a hot day. We browsed the cute boutique and hope to get back to spend more time and try more wine. As for the staff, bad day or Jackie simply didnt like who she was serving for her own small reasons, either way, it has deterred our group from returning to Ponte Winery. Our group was informed to wait, while there were tables open and after we were seated those tables were seated with other guests, and no added staff. We were never checked on during our meals, when a member of our group wanted to send back her food (very soggy bread for a 'flat bread' dish) it was responded with a curt "ok," Jackie took her plate, no apologies nor alternate suggestions. In addition, the burgers that were ordered had wax paper in them both. At the end she brought our bill, after we tracked her down, and while she did take the soggy dish off the bill, it was accompanied with no hospitality. Again, the grounds were beautiful, the food was ok, our waitress was something to be desired. I am not sure if it was just a bad day or if it was a table full of bi-racial women, either way, the experience was less than complimentary. read more

Ponte is such a wonderful place to go to while visiting Temecula. I stayed at the hotel and they give you free tastings to use at their tasting room! We went over and we all got free tastings, and they were very generous with their pours! They provide you with a sheet that explains what each wine is about, and leaves a space that you can write notes on! Make sure to make a reservation, because due to Covid, they are restricting the number of people in their tasting area to keep everyone socially distant. Went on a wine tasting for my birthday and stopped by The Cellar at Ponte Winery for a quick bite. The food and drink were surprisingly amazing. Our bartender/waiter Donovan made THE best sangria for only $10. All the flatbread was half priced. Donovan also surprised me with an ice cream dessert for my birthday. It was so sweet of him and it's definitely the highlight of my day. Despite the fact that it's underground, it's very cozy and welcoming.
