Came here because it was close to the library and I have to say, this is one of the better thin crust slices I've had. I had a slice of the buffalo chicken and it was decent. It's served with a blue cheese dressing to dip the slice in so if you don't like blue cheese, you can easily avoid it. I was concerned about the crust after reading some reviews but the pizza was perfectly cooked. Crust had a nice crisp to the bottom but not overdone at all. A great chew and very tasty. I love that you can see the mixer and flour where they make the pizza dough so you know this is being made on the spot. The small pizza is perfectly sized for a smaller kid and adult. Inside is small but there's enough seating when the weather is not great outside. All in all, a great place to feed the pizza craving! read more

We came in randomly to see which slices of pizza they had and I saw this broccoli and tomato pizza so I ordered 2 slices. Service was great - they heated up the pizza and within a minute they were brought out to us. I was surprised by how good the pizza was and there were ample toppings. Wow. I don't even know where to start. We ordered a pizza for delivery, half pepperoni and half sausage and pepper. The pizza came with everything all over. I enjoy the pizza at pontillos in the village of pittsford, but I just had an experience that was surreal. I went in for a slice around 5pm on a Tuesday evening and the following occurred by the employers: 1. One employer telling the other to get the fuck out of his face sarcastically 2. Several of the employees swearing very loudly with customers in the restaurant 3. An employee vaping while behind the counter 4. Loud Conversation about gang bangs 5. Additional inappropriate conversation and swearing for any public establishment. 6. I asked for a manager and he said the employees were talking about the news!!:). Eventually, he said I was correct that this behavior is inappropriate, but seemed ok with it, like it was normal I emailed the central office to express my concern as a customer and resident of the town and I'm waiting to hear back. Visiting family and wanted wings. They said my order would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived for pick up after 30 minutes, the order was not ready (Wednesday night, not busy). Waited another 10 minutes for the order with no apology. Cost for 10 chicken wings was listed at $9.99 online. The menu in the actual restaurant listed it at $10.99. They charged $12.50 and when I asked why the difference, they said oh, those are old prices with no other explanation. Wings were maybe 3 out of 5 stars but nothing great. I spend time in Pittsford regularly for work, but I live in VA. Been here two or three times, once in the middle of a whiteout snow storm in December when EVERYONE in Rochester had rolled up the carpets and hid indoors. This Pontillo's was still open and so thankfully I had dinner. It's a local style pie, kinda reminds me of being in college. It's above average, a solid 6/10. Pizza is completely subjective, okay, I get it. But Pontillo's--in Pittsford--is the only pizza place around that I will drive across town to get a slice. The crust is thin, crispy, and delicious, and the pizza sauce is tasty without overpowering the other ingredients. Since my brother was a professional chef at the The Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, MA, and he also believes it's fantastic pizza, then I feel even better about recommending it to folks. Go out and buy a slice. You can't go wrong. And hey you can drop by the Pittsford library next door and borrow a book too. What a combo. read more

They have also got my order wrong twice in a row and the person at the register had an attitude problem - treated m like I should be thanking them instead of thanking me for my business. We order from Pontillo's in the Village of Pittsford often. This time the pizza was inedible. A weird taste that we could not identify. Called the store and spoke to manager. He was anything but helpful. Told us nothing was wrong with the pizza. I'm sorry but we know the difference between good and bad. Also, there seems to be no way to contact the corporate office. This saddens me as my family, when I was a child ordered from Pontillo's in the '60's and it was always consistently good. Been getting pizza here often whenever I'm at my parents house, and starting to use the Yelp account more so here I go.I have never had a problem here usually get deliveries every Sunday's because the whole family gathers at my parents house. delivery is always under an hour which is awesome! A few times I've order for my brother at the house and one time they charge me a few bucks extra as a mistake and they even corrected that! This place often gives memories from high school most of our lunches were spent eating at tillos but at the bushbells basin one, that sweet Calorific sauce and a pizza for 2 bucks couldn't beat anything and often the owner would give out free slice token to the high school kids! We only get pizza here because the basin one is out of range, but this one is great as well! read more

Ive had two horrible experiences with this particular Pontillo's, the first time i had an issue I was very flexible with the issue that was going on me and my friends ordered a pizza around 10 pm ...called over three times to get a pizza which didn't end up getting here until about 12 AM because they forgot about it. when we called the first time they said it would be 20 min second time another 20 mims and third the same answer the fourth time we called they said they had forgot and it would be on its way soon. they did give us a 10$ voucher so none of us were very upset and let it go..... but the second time at about 10 pm i called and was answered with a person yelling CLOSED on the phone then hung up on me. called back again since it says they are not closed and addressed the previous yelling of them being closed and got hung up on once again... so unprofessional. i wouldn't recommend this pontillo's unless u wanna continually be hung up on and wait over three hrs for a pizza. read more
