I usually get the pepperoni and sausage large pizza with thick crust, with a side of boneless chicken wings with country sweet sauce. Pizza and Wings are prominent foods today, and have been for many many years. I enjoy both of them, and like everyone else I have my favorite places. When it comes to Pizza and Wings, my choice is Pontillo's. Guido is a master at making a good, enjoyable meal. I've been in the Irondequoit area for several years and myself and several others have always chose this place. Whether were buying in a group or just for ourselves, Pontillo's is the place to go! I often do surveys, and not long ago I did a Wegmans survey regarding their Pizza. I politely said that Wegmans should consider bringing in Pontillo's and setting up a Pizza & Wing station. Love the pizza, had been coming here for years until I received a phone from the disgruntled pizza boy "Kolton Faber." I used a reward and a coupon with my online order and Dick, I mean Kolton, felt it the need to call me and cancel my order for "taking advantage of coupons." Kolton approached the conversation as if it stole his lunch money and gave him a swirly. I was just trying to save a few bucks! Aren't we all?!? I told him that he doesn't have to be vindictive prick about it- I understand that he has a passion for pizza! I think I hurt the nerd's ego because he hung up on me. Needless to say there's no need to speak to people the way he did- in customer service and in life in general. Carry out and delivery only at this time. I ordered online and set my pickup for a specific time. I ordered two items, a pizza and a calzone. I arrived prior to my specified time so I could watch the action. The kitchen is completely visible, nothing is hidden. The kitchen was very busy but very organized and efficient, everyone had a job to do and they were doing it. My order was a tad late but within a few minutes if my requested time so I was happy. I was also impressed. I didn't have any of the pizza myself but was told it was very good. I ordered the three cheese calzone. It's reminiscent of a Ponza Rotta from Jimmy's Grotto back home, but about twice the size. The three cheeses were delightfully melted and stringy. Next time, I'll probably order some additions to it but I will certainly order it again! I don't live in Rochester, but I am here for, let's just say an extended visit. I stopped in to grab a few slices for dinner. I hadn't had Pontillo's in about 7 years. I remember thinking the dough was covered in too much flour before and had stayed away... These were large thin slices. The employee was polite and friendly and warmed up my slices in the oven without hesitation. The pizza itself was bland and flavorless. The crust was over cooked on the edges and crumbled when I grabbed it. I could taste the sauce a little. But all it tasted like was canned tomato paste. Otherwise it was blah. The cheese was melty and it was there, but didn't taste like anything either. By the end of the slice it just tasted like I was chewing plain bread. I was bummed. Honestly I would have been better off spending the $6.50 on Little Caesar's or a frozen pizza. I was right to stay away all these years. I have it one star because at least it was hot. I can deal with thin, floppy pizza, but there has to be some seasonings present. read more

Stopped in for a couple cheese slices as a quick lunch. Slices are giant, so consider whether you actually need two, I probably should have opted for one. Best pizza around. Owner is great and staff is always friendly. I moved out of the area last year and either make the trip there to pick it up or have family bring me one when they visit. I won't get pizza anywhere else...not even other Pontillos locations (the one in Penfield *sucks*). Todd L. if you think it is bland, try the pink pizza (garlic and red sauce mixed), it is DELICIOUS and few Pontillos actually make it right. I have been ordering their pink sauce since it was first made about 20years ago (when it was called mixed sauce, then zesty sauce, now pink) from probably every Pontillos over the years and Hudson Ridge makes it the best of any! Pontillo's is one of my favorite pizza places in Rochester. They have great slices. They also have the little pepperoni that I am used to getting in Buffalo. You do have to ask that by request. I love their crust and that their sauce actually has flavor read more

To be honest. The pizza is OKAY. But the crust is not made to perfection. It's made hard to bite through with the wonderful toppings. So there is no perfect bite to it.. and they leave the pizza sitting in a cooler wrapped up in plastic wrap..... about that pizza it's nothing but leftover pizza being re-served and it's very obvious. It don't make the crust any better.! The people are very nice. And another thing.... their cookies are effing delicious BUT I'm spending 3 dollars for a cake and lbs of icing. A little Debbie is only 50 cent at the the store.... or at Walgreens 6 cookies are a dollar! If you catch my drift... they're too darn expensive. read more

Awful customer service. We'll be back at Two Ton Tony's. Coupons came in the mail we called in an order and the kid said bring in the coupon and they will credit it off the order. On pick up a women there said we couldn't use the coupon, on line order only. She seemed very happy to tell us we couldn't use it. $31 for a cheese pizza and wings ridiculous! Saturday 7/28/18 - Not sure if we got an old batch of dough for our pizza, but it was terrible. From first bite it tasted like the crust was made out of cardboard. Way too much cheese was used and the pepperoni was tasteless. Not to mention it gave me a stomach ache. Only good part was the mild sauce, which is awesome. but the sauce couldn't save it. I cant be the only one complaining about this particular night. I hope the dough is fresher normally. Won't be back any time soon. read more

Ordered a thick pizza and hot wings. It took over an hour (25 mins over) for delivery. The pizza showed up as complete raw dough in the middle and the wrong wings. They had already left a voicemail that they were sending driver back with correct wings. 45 MINUETS later the hot wings show up undercooked, and demanded I give him the wrong wings back in replacement of what I ordered. Keep in mind I didn't want any of the food at this point. After telling them none of the food was correctly cooked and they already admittedly sent me the wrong wings this arrogant, rude staff member told me I would have to bring everything back to the store for a refund. I get there and they tell me my order was refunded after wasting my time driving there. Left the food and told them I would never be ordering from them again, Perri's is closer and knows how to produce cooked food, oh and they have CELARY! Horrible food, even worse customer service.
