Came here on a beautiful Saturday. The weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying some locally produced wine. Pontita is a beautiful venue, perfect for parties or weddings. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. We had the Pick 6 tasting and loved every single wine we tried! Jenn and Peggy were a lot of fun and made our experience that much better. We really enjoyed our time here and we'll definitely be back!

I came through here to spend some extra time between visiting San Antonio and seeing friends in Austin. Right when I walked in the door I got a warm, welcoming greeting and an invitation to sit wherever I liked. I chose a nice spot on the patio, and sampled all six of the wines. From sitting down and trying the wines, Ms. Peggy gave a thorough report of the winery's history and a description of the wines. Each one was delicious, and I chose two (Spike and Tangle) to have a glass of while enjoying the weather. To top it all off, Ms. Peggy cooked some popcorn on the fire and shared it with me. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here, and I'm glad I made the trip. Excellent wine, service, and atmosphere.

If you're looking for an amazing local-style experience, then this is your place. They specialize in Riesling wines here, but they do have some outsourced reds available if you really want some. They have a really good variety of Rieslings: some dry and some sweet. I was already a fan of the dry one, but the semi-sweet ended up being our favorite. It was just the perfect balance of sweet and dry! It was so good that we took like 3 bottles home I also appreciate the ambience and the service. The sunset was beautiful! They have cornhole if you and your friends are looking for something to do, but really the environment was great to sit and talk. I also want to point out that they had excellent service. At one point I got stung by a fuzzy caterpillar, and both our server and the owner kept coming back to check on us. In general, they have a great vibe, and they provide amazing customer service that you can only get at a local spot. TLDR: We had a wonderful experience. They specialize in Rieslings, and their semi-sweet was our overall favorite. The service was exactly what you'd expect from the Southern Hospitality vibe, and their sunsets really were the best. Highly recommend!

The owners and staff are amazing! So knowledgeable and attentive! The winery is beautiful and they have a little bit of everything! We will be going back! They are kid friendly and even brought my son toys to play with!

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. My group and I had the pontita white wine tasting, and it was amazing. You get a taste of 4 wines, produced by the owner, with a bit of background about each wine from the owner himself. I don't know much about wine, so I really appreciated that he took the time to explain its history, the process it takes to make it, as well as the differences among wines, champagnes, and sparkling wines. The wines were pretty good, but my favorite was the semi-sweet Riesling. Be warned, I have a sweet tooth. If you like dry, fruity wines, the tart apple dry Riesling or the rarity dry Riesling are good choices. The physical vineyard itself is a work in progress, which was explained when we first arrived, but I believe when it's completed, it'll be beautiful.

Great staff who are always cool and accommodating, even for us and our baby. NOT TO MENTION the entire bar is actually built right inside/next to an upscale furniture design company called Finishing Touches. So you can literally be drinking a refreshing rosé one minute and strolling through elegant home furnishings, materials, and decorations. It's a one-of-a-kind place that deserves a visit. FOOD: Apps have been great so far, not very large portions, but quality food and ingredients with superb plating. Just look at the guac pic bro come on. That along with the Jocoque dip (amazing with pieces of flatbread) and the Strawberry Burrata are some of our faves. DRINKS: Bread and butter at this place, wine list is fantastic. Not overly or ridiculously long like some places where it's just overwhelming, but they contain just the right amount of options to have something for everyone. Stuff from many countries, a robust California and Italian selection (which we almost always love these regions) and even a few options from local vineyards like the William Chris cab we enjoyed. OVERALL GREAT PLACE! Cost is slightly high m, but overall competitive because you definitely receive a classy, elevated experience from great people who care for the craft. Check it out

Also ordered their margarita and she said she had to wait for the recipe. Drinks were slow coming out which made us feel rushed to get another drink before happy hour ended, we timed our arrival to be able to get two rounds. It took at least twenty minutes for us to get the margarita which was not worth the wait. We asked for tajin on the rim and one of the guys said they couldn't do it for whatever reason so he brought us a plate with tajin. What were we suppose to do with that? I guess sprinkle it in the drink itself. Margarita glass did end up being dressed with tajin. We then ordered two more drinks before happy hour ended and she got confused making the wrong drink. When we told her she said we could keep the drink, she would comp it and make the correct one. By this time happy hour was over. At the end of the night we got the bill. She charged us for the incorrect drink which she said she would comp rather than charging for the drink we ordered which was $5 less than the incorrect one she made. On top of that she didn't apply the $2 discount for happy hour to our last two drinks we ordered during happy hour. I guess because by the time we told her it was the wrong drink happy hour was over. She said she would refund and correct the bill but when we got the "corrected" bill the happy hour discount still wasn't applied so I took it out of the tip. The food was decent. Trivia and drinks were fair. The men's bathroom was out of order but there was no sign and nobody informed us. My boyfriend and another man were waiting in line thinking someone was just taking long until someone happened to go over, informed them it was out of order and to use the women's. It's a cute spot, I'd been there a couple of years ago and don't remember having so many issues. I like to support small business but people clearly did not know what they were doing here. Pretty disappointing because I wanted to check out their singo but after that experience I'm pretty sure we won't be returning.
