The staff really cares about your pet. My dog Rusty is generally not excited to stay in a kennel overnight... but he RUNS to the door to get in when we drop him off here. It's so cute! :) Pro tip: get your puppers a bath there before they come home so they are squeaky-clean after an overnight. :) ...it's a good deal.

Told them to shut up, be quiet, "growled at them" . Even when I said something he continued. I am sure that it can get tiring to listen to dogs bark constantly all day, but if you can't handle it, you shouldn't be working with dogs. Those are people's family members, and they are trusting you with their care and this man is being verbally abusive. I can't see if he's doing anything physically to them, but he is verbally being abusive to these dogs. I can still hear him yelling and he knows I'm out here. I told him I wouldn't dare take my dog there and it didn't seem to deter him so if you take your dog here, you might want to pull in the back parking lot sometime and just listen because I guarantee you you don't know what's going on when you're not there. This guy should be fired. I have been here for 30 minutes now and he is still yelling at the dogs, screaming at them to go sit down in a very angry tone. He is obviously not a happy person and he does not need to be around other people's pets. I am posting this because I care about animals. I'm not trying to cause problems for this guy. I don't even know who he is but he does not need to be working with animals, and if you take your dog here, you have a right to know.

I thought maybe they were busy etc. There are quite a few dogs so I blew it off. Go back to the cams a couple hours later. All the dogs are in crates. I called to see where my dog was. Unfortunately, I didnt look for a new place after my first negative experience so I'm going to leave a list of what I've seen. 1) in the most recent visit, they did not give my dog his blanket or comfort items the first night he was there. I dropped him off in the early morning, so they had plenty of time to set up. This resulted in me helplessly watching on the cameras as he paced back and forth the entire night. Second night he had his comfort items and slept wonderfully, because that's WHAT THEY'RE FOR. 2) When I picked him up this morning I could hear staff screaming at the dogs from the parking lot. Not the stern voice you have to use sometimes with dogs.... no... they were screaming 3) my dog has pretty upsetting injuries. In the past I have brought him in with his harness and they always print out a laminated collar for him to use during his time there. They didnt do this time and they left the harness on him for DAYS. when I picked him up he has severe chafing and was bleeding from several spots. They said nothing to me. This isnt even the first time he's been injured here. He had a cut so bad on his ear once that it got an infection... again at that point they said nothing. Today, in combination with previous visits this year, have brought me to the internet to urge you (whoever you are) to find somewhere else to take your dog.

My dog Buzz and I absolutely loved working with Betty at Canine PhD!…read more After reading so many glowing reviews for Canine PhD, I decided to give them a try after looking for positive reinforcement trainers near us in Decatur. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made for both Buzz and me! Buzz struggles with anxiety and reacts nervously when new people approach, especially on walks or in public places like restaurant patios. From our very first session, Betty made both of us feel comfortable and confident. She immediately recommended a no-pull harness that made a huge difference. Walking Buzz and his corgi brother, Phil, is finally fun again! I truly missed our morning walks, and it feels amazing to enjoy them again without constantly worrying about Buzz pulling away or Phil getting loose because my attention was elsewhere. What stood out most is that Betty doesn't just train dogs -- she trains their owners, too. She helped me learn how to communicate more clearly and understand what Buzz is feeling. Betty gave us exercises to build trust and confidence. He's already such a happy pup, but he lit up even more during each session, as you can see in his picture! You could tell how proud he was every time he got something right. The whole experience strengthened our bond even more, and I ended up enjoying training far more than I ever expected. Betty also gave us fantastic techniques to help Buzz stay calm when meeting new people, both out in public and at home. He's learned that his bed is his "safe spot," and now he'll go there on his own when guests arrive until he's ready to say hello. It's been such a big, wonderful change seeing him so much more relaxed and secure. We did three sessions at Canine PhD and three at home, which was the perfect balance. It gave us the chance to practice in both structured and real-life settings, and between sessions, we had Betty's helpful homework to reinforce what we were learning and keep us progressing even outside of training. The pricing was very reasonable and the value we got from the training far exceeded what we paid. What I appreciated most was Betty's honesty and empathy. She set realistic expectations right from the start, explaining that this wouldn't be a quick fix -- and she was right. Some dogs are just naturally more anxious, but she gave us the tools and confidence to help Buzz make real progress. I can't recommend Betty and Canine PhD enough! She's a wonderful person! Super patient, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping both dogs and their humans succeed. If you're looking for a trainer who truly understands behavior, builds trust, and brings out the best in you and your pup, Betty is the one to call!

I really thought this was a place that I can drop my Bailey off and remain safe! When I say I'm pissed that my dog was placed in a crate that she shouldn't have been in this would not have happened ! I fostered my dog then adopted her thinking she would be protected by all means , My dog has been suffering since Tuesday afternoon due to the neglect of my dog , I was charged 267 for 3 days and at this point I'm filing a complaint for a refund and to pay for the emergency services for my baby! During a conversation with Ms Zoey which was recorded she giggled as if this was funny during our conversation. When I asked how no one noticed my dog was limping she informed me that maybe Bailey wasn't taken out the crate with the rest of dogs at 5:30am. So my dog who doesn't fight or bark stayed in the crate from Monday after her bath after the staff left until I picked her up on Tuesday at 9:30am My dog is 62 pounds why she placed in this crate that allowed her paw to slip down and as Ms Zoey said she wiggled her hand out and layed on her side based on what she seen on the camera She was in pain but excited to see me when I picked her up, Due to this error of the employee this is what she's going through ! You want offer free days of daycare for the pain that my dog is going through. I want my refund and pay for the ER services at Good Vet . I would never bring her back she's miserable as hell and she had a fever
