My car battery was dead. My emergency roadside service sent pop a lock. They determined that I needed a new battery. They charged $180 and said the new battery came with a 5 year replacement warranty. The battery proved to be faulty after 3 months. Pop a lock said that they don't replace it. They said I had to go elsewhere to have it replaced. Very poor procedure. read more

most of the time I've used pop a lock in the past they have been good but now i have to give them a "F" score rating. They have failed me big time and I'm very disappointed in them. I locked my keys in my car and had to wait almost 2 hours for someone to arrive to unlock my vehicle. Don't say we'll be there 45 to 60 minutes and it takes 2 hours to show up. I shouldn't have to keep calling my insurance company back to ask them when pop is gonna show up. Used these guys several times when in an emergency in my car. Had a dead battery and called them. They came out and sold me a brand new battery. Called once before that with a bad battery and they were on the scene quickly and took care of me. A few days ago, bent my key, so they came out and made 2 new keys on the spot. Ford dispatched them for road side assistance when I locked my keys in the car, they were a few min late but this wasn't a big deal as I didn't have anywhere to be and the car was at my house. The technician arrived and was in the car after a few min, I got the keys out and turned off the alarm and the technician left. I went to drive my car for the first time since this happened and realized that they scratched the inside of my car with what ever they used to unlock the door / pull the handle. read more

Awful we called our insurance for a jump start and they sent some guy from here with no clue what he was doing and didn't help us at all. Then we called our insurance again for them to send us someone new and they sent us the same guy who got attitude on the phone he also didn't want to help us and was visibly upset that we called again because he can't do his job. This place is a joke the guy told my fiance "well ima get paid either way so it doesn't matter to me" and something about how we don't always get our way. The most unprofessional person we have had to deal with. Our car still didn't get the jump start we needed. Do not use. Quoted 39 minutes then after being 15 minutes late they updated the ETA to another 15 minutes. 7 minutes after that ETA they updated that the tech was finally only the way and GPS showed he was still 22 minutes out. So all in all, they were over an hour late while the car was running. Tech said he had 6 other calls. Sounds like their dispatch needs to get their shit straight or have more techs on call on a Saturday night in Las Vegas. read more

Needed a battery replacement on a 2013 Ford Escape. I called and received a quote, and Ben showed up, had the battery replaced, and was pulling away 59 minutes after my initial call. Outstanding service, I would definitely use again. Total cost was $182, and it's pretty tough to get the batter in an escape, so well worth it. read more

Geico roadside assistance sent pop a lock when my car battery died and I was stranded in a parking lot. At first I thought maybe they heard me wrong when I told them my battery was the issue because I only knew the company name through friends who locked themselves out of their car. Andrew showed up about 30 mins after I called. He was personable, informative and within 15 mins checked and confirmed my battery was totally dead, asked if I needed a new one ( I said yes) swapped it out and I was on my way! I'm so glad Geico sent this company, I hope they send Pop a lock if I ever find myself in this situation again! read more

My daughter locked my keys in my BMW. We called Pop a Lock and the person over the phone quoted me $34.95 and they could be there in 30 mins. Great! The tech came out opened the door and here comes the bill. $134.95!!! Apparently the person over the phone wasn't clear in saying the price when received my quote. Ok a huge misunderstanding. I AM GIVING A ONE STAR REVIEW SOLELY ON THE RUDE INDIVIDUAL WHO HANDLED MY COMPLAINT. After I called back to make a complaint the woman over the phone with her sassy sharkeisha attitude ruined the Pop a Lock experience. A person with such a demeanor doesn't belong in customer service. I used Pop-a-lock to cut a new key for a used vehicle I purchased. I also needed a new key fob which I had purchased online programmed. The service tech called me back with in minutes. Sergio explained the process and cost. Sergio was on time, professional and very knowledgeable with respect to programming the key fob. It was a 3rd of the cost of the dealer. There's a lot of road work being done in the Henderson, NV area. Upon arriving home today, I saw that my seven-month-old Toyota Avalon had a flat tire. Called Toyota Care for help, and they sent the call to Pop-A-Lock. The technician arrived within 20 minutes, and 10 minutes later the flat had been swapped out for the spare, which will enable me to drive to the dealer in the morning and obtain a replacement. If I could give less than one star I would. I am a very friendly customer and don't typically " write reviews " but Pop-A-Lock services my car and opened my door so I can get my keys, but the guy ripped off my door handle. I was able to get into my car which was good and the guy said he talk to his boss and someone was going to call me with in a few days to get the door handle taken care of. I waited a few extra days, no one called. So I called they said they were sorry and that they would escalate it to their manger and someone was going to call me. I waited probably 4-5 days and I call again and the second lady told me the same the other lady did. I was fine I said okay. So I cal back today and the lady said there is nothing in my account and no notes were left, and nothing has been escalated........... yeah I am thinking the same thing. WTF. So it's been 15 days from the incident and nothing still has been done. And Now I have to continue to wait for a "Manger to call me back." This is absolutely a terrible customer experience. I feel that the company really doesn't give a crap about someone like me. I feel black listed and no one wants to help. Disappointed in the company. read more

This evening my next door neighbors, and elderly couple, locked themselves out of their house. I called the police non emergency number, not knowing who else to call, and they gave me the number for Pop-A-Lock. I called them, explained the situation, and was told that it would take about 45 minutes for someone to arrive. The Pop-A-Lock van pulled up probably 15 minutes after I got off the phone. Felipe Padilla was the locksmith, I want to commend him , and Ben who pulled up shortly after, on being so polite and patient with my neighbor, who sometimes gets a little confused, and who has all sorts of locks and things set up to prevent anyone from breaking in. Eventually they got the one door opened. I know sometimes people just do their job, and it's all about the paycheck, but it's refreshing to see people who are still polite, friendly and patient with the clients, even when they're working outside on a very windy evening. I was assigned Pop-A-Lock through my home warranty company American Home Shield for a re-key. I didn't have high expectations as vendors can really be hit or miss, but Pop-A-Lock truly exceeded my expectations. In addition to the standard re-key services, I had a lock that needed picking and a mail box that also needed re-keying. Pop-A-Lock hardly upcharged for which I was very grateful. We went here because we needed to get a spare key to our car rekeyed we already had the key we just need it keyed. The guy messed it up but I was incredibly impressed by the customer service it was around 4 on a Friday she called about 15 places to find the key she was unable to get one until Sunday but they called us in the morning Sunday came to us rekeyed the key and even programmed the new key which we weren't even gonna have done and all we payed was a tip for the guy.
