I was trying to get keys made that cannot be done by lowes or Home Depot. I stopped here at 8:30am when their hours on the door clearly read 8-5 M-F. The door was completely closed up and nobody answered. I thought maybe someone was late for work and tried around 2pm the same day. Again, all locked up and when I tried calling the number it just went to voicemail. At least post a sign if you're taking a random a day off, lord knows we all need them. How to make a bad situation worse. I locked my keys in my running (a/c on) car. Called popalock to open car. Told dispatcher about car running with a/c on. Concerned about overheating. She told me 30 minutes tops. I called back at 30 minutes. They said they would contact driver and have him call me. Nothing. I called at 45 minutes. Dispatcher said she would contact driver and personally call me right back. Nothing. I called at 1 hour and was hung up on after explaining my situation. 1 hour, 10 minutes driver finally calls me to say he's across town and busy, he will try to get to me in 20 minutes. I could have called MANY other places. Stuck waiting... Hope my car doesn't overheat in the Las Vegas sun. What ever happened to honesty and communication. I will NEVER use or recommend this business. UPDATE: Finally arrived at 1:27! Car opened in 2 minutes. I wonder how many calls the driver took while I waited out in the hot sun? read more

Im not a big franchise junkie unless I grew up with it. Now i called 5 different locksmiths on a Thursday afternoon after failing to the point I was goin to kick the door down. They picked up got my info and gave me a quote cheaper than anyone else. Got here Boom bang done. Rates as one star, terrible customer service via communication with office and dispatch. Work was never checked and lock not properly working after Tech left. Dispatch could not locate Tech to return to fix job, took several phone calls and 3 different operators to locate and send back Tech. When he finally returned, he admitted that he gave us the wrong name when he introduced himself, said he left without checking his work as if it was his regular routine. Wish I could give this company ZERO stars!! They were let known by my insurance (All-state) that my car was INSIDE my garage and needed a jump.. Aside from being 45 minutes late from the time THEY said they would be here, they called ONCE and when I called back, no one would answer. I sent a text and someone replied right away saying the technician didn't see the car outside so they left to another call.. Why didn't they ring the doorbell? OMG--I am still shaking as I write this. I dropped my 4 year old off at preschool and took my 18 month old daughter to go food shopping. I was opening her door (bags were on the floor behind her) and I took those out with the door open. She had grabbed my keys and I think nothing of it as she loves to play with keys. I turned around (I am pretty thin but have a butt) and the door closed, I went to open it and she locked herself in and was laughing. I was shaking and remembered that unlike previous cars when I bought this one it came with only 1 door control remote thing. Thankfully today is the coolest day yet and we were in the garage. I got a hammer but then she was unlocking and locking it (every time I grabbed for the door she locked it). My nanny arrived and I had already called Pop-A-Lock (and I did not know but there is no charge for emergency service like this). They sent someone out and were super nice. I was shaking and so upset but before the guy arrived she finally was done playing and unlocked it. The guy was very nice who came. I am going to be asking Kia for a second remote and them as well. This is ridiculous not to have one. On that note, because I have 2 kids and 3 dogs I actually even have a patented technology that would keep a car warm in winter and cool in summer for instances like this and I did this more as a convenience as my son hated getting in the car last summer during the heat in Las Vegas. I am so happy that these people offer this really nice service. I literally had a hammer next to me ready to use but luckily it was cool and I was watching her and she was laughing the whole time. NEVER GIVE YOUR CHILDREN OF ANY AGE THE KEYS TO PLAY WITH. Lesson learned. Now Kia is getting a call. read more

I called Pop A Lock to add a deadbolt on my Van to secure it from getting broken into. Not only did they come the following day and wanted to secure the vehicle ASAP but they did it in the most professional manner. Cody kept in touch with me and showed me all the locks available and was very informative the entire way through even after to make sure I was satisfied. My lock in the back was busted and would not shut all the way which is why I needed this deadbolt. Not only did they install the lock but fixed my door so it would lock correctly that my auto body shop wanted $600 to do. Didn't ask me, just fixed it!!! I bought a spare key at audi dealer and audi wanted me to bring my car to them to program the key because of the immobilizer,after finding out audi is charging me $145. I had the pleasure of doing business with a Pop-A-Lock locksmith by the name of Jim today. Let me start off by saying this guy was top notch. He promptly answered my service call and saved me A LOT of money! I had lost the original key to my 1997 Ford F-150 while moving into my new home. I did have an extra key, but after several attempts of trying to use it did not work. Instead of coming out to my home Jim walked me through the process of making the key work, which saved me time and money. He didn't try to take advantage of me or rip me off. I had a technician come out and get my keys out the car cause it was in the ignition and he got it out in one minute, now I was told $25 for them to come out and $29 to get it out. The guy was already an asshole when he came and charge me $100!!! That is ridiculous. They are just a rip off...I will never call them for help. read more

Locked my keys in my vehicle in the Harrah's parking deck on a Saturday night. Called Pop-a-Lock and reached their nationwide call center in TX, The operator had no idea where Harrah's was (I had no idea what the actual address is--just assumed Pop-a-Lock was local), but she eventually found it and let me know the local technician should arrive in an estimated 35 minutes or so. In less time than that, the lock-guy called me and we talked through where exactly my vehicle was in the deck. There was a moment of frustration for the guy, as my vehicle was not the make and model the operator relayed to him. But he looked up the specs he needed and was able to get it open in about 6 seconds. The phone quote was $64.95, which was exactly what he charged. In fact, he joked it was $164.99 and I just assumed I heard the operator incorrectly--I was prepared to pay him that, figuring I was getting the standard "you locked your keys on the strip on a weekend" rate. But nope--it was just the $65 bucks. The dude was friendly, funny, and professional. The number is still in my phone, as this sort of thing happens to me at least once a year. read more
