I think he was here less than 3 mins and that was because he had to walk to the car to get the right bit for the job. I contacted American Home Shield Home warranty to get a locksmith to re-key my front door. They assigned Pop A Lock (5191 W. Charleston Bld. # 135) Las Vegas NV. When I didn't get a call from them I called and a party who identified herself as a dispatcher answered my call. After an extensive explanation she asked that I call back, I asked if someone from the company could give me a call. She reluctantly took my information and dismissed me. After a couple of hours (approximately 11AM) I called back and she claimed someone had picked up the message an hour ago and I should be getting a call. After another 2 hoursI called again and this time a male answered the phone. It was obvious he was aware of my service request when he snarled and said "yeah you're that service call from the warranty company." He then said they would not be able to come out and that maybe tomorrow or late in the week. No empathy, he gave the impression that I was being a nuisance. I looked up reviews and found that the company has a disdain for home warranty calls - they don't make a lot of money on the call and try to frustrate you into cancelling the request. They are the only locksmith service provider for American Home Warranty in Las Vegas and apparently don't care about customer service to that clientele. I'd rather pay full price than to have these people with that attitude come to my home. read more

The technician did a good job when he finally got there. He said that he was the only technician that night and he was responding to request closest to him rather than people that were in line. The locksmith arrived 15 minutes late but called me in advance of his arrival. The procedures took an hour and a half. He left me one master key and two spares. The cost was $120 total. Paid close to $250 for them to replace a battery. A few days after replacement the car would not start. Placed four (4) calls into them with each time a manager/supervisor never returned my call or arrange for them to come back and either test, replace or reconnect the battery. My insurance road side service suggested this company- I have called my insurance provider to let them know about the situation and they should never refer or use them again. The fact that after a replacement they would not following up when issues were brought up to them by either a return call or sending someone out to check speaks volumes. Fortunately I was able to drive into the side parking lot of Excalibur which I then called for Road Side Assistance. Infiniti was able to get Andy right over to access and fix my car. He texted and called me to make sure where I was and to inform me of his estimated time of arrival. When he arrived he was very polite and professional. He got my spare tire and completed his work in less than 10 minutes. Also, this was 1 am and the temperature was less than 30 degrees. The whole time he smiled and said his job. I put in the request to my insurance to get my car opened because I locked my keys inside. Not a long wait time maybe an hour. I spoke with a guy named Brian who informed me on the phone that there was a late night fee (after 1am) of 15$ and proceeded to ask me if I could pay through cash app or apple pay which gave him away immediately. When he showed up he unlocked the car quickly and then pulled out his phone for me to pay. Whole time my insurance covers any and all fees for this particular service. My car decided to suddenly die on me in my driveway at home, so I called my insurance's roadside assistance service who then scheduled Pop-A-Lock to come help with what I hoped would just be a dead battery. I suppose it's better to buy that new battery before the triple digit summer temps start because I certainly wouldn't want to be stuck somewhere waiting and sweating outside! My Pop-A-Lock tech was Andrew, and thanks to his professional know-how, he easily recognized that it was a battery issue. He offered a new replacement (reasonably priced with 3 years warranty) and installed it in only 10 minutes saving me money and time from having to go to an expensive dealership or a busy repair shop. There was no sales pressure, and Andrew was even nice enough to check the battery levels of my parents' cars that were also parked at my house for no charge. I was glad to see that the batteries for both my parents' cars showed above 90% charged range. This was my first experience with Pop-A-Lock, and everything went smoothly. Based on the majority of positive Yelp reviews as well, I think Pop-A-Lock provides consistently good customer service more often than not. Imy insurance company sent them to my disabled car when my battery died Oct/2021. They replaced the battery with an Interstate battery. That battery died in August 2023. I called the insurance company for roadside assistance. Pop-A-Lock was sent again. They said the battery was good. I took the car to an auto repair shop. They ran tests and gave me a printout showing that the battery was defective. I called Pop-A-Lock and was told to take the battery to Interstate for a replacement. I drove for half an hour to Interstate facility and was told that the battery had no warranty. I had to pay $222 for a new battery. Had I known it was not warranted I could have got a new one 5 minutes from my house instead of driving miles away. First, I would never have had Pop-A-Lock replace it without a warranty. Second, I'm 80 years old and handicapped and didn't need to drive that far away to get a new battery. Pop-A-Lock owes me big time for their poor performance. I called them but have not received a call back since then. Don't use Pop-A-Lock ever. read more
