    Love Story

Pop love is a newer (July '24 opening) gelato store over in Timberlake shopping center (Holland Road). The decor is very cute and the store is VERY clean. We ordered the Love Story which is a beautiful elevation to the strawberry milkshake. I can say the same for The Therapist in regards to chocolate. Love story: is a Strawberry shake, layers of meringue with Strawberry pieces, meringue crumbs & Strawberry popsicle The Therapist: is a Chocolate shake, layers of brownie, melted chocolate, chantilly cream & ferrero rocher popsicle The brownie: is a hot brownie with a popsicle of your choice on top. You can also go without a popsicle. The staff were very friendly and efficient with everything. Very sweet and seemed to be family oriented. In regard to price, I said elevated because of the quality in taste. But the price compared to taste was definitely worth it. Everything was a "rich" flavor in terms of taste but not overly sweet..no sugary taste. On the website they explain their menu items to have less sugar and I was nervous about it tasting watery but that was not the case. Everything was super delicious. Presentations were beautiful as you can see..I mean just..beautiful to the eyes, and delicious to eat! I definitely would splurge to indulge from their menu every now and then. *Sorry it was hot today so some things melted some*

The only reason I gave 4 stars was due to the price. You do get a popsicle added, but at the price point if buying the milkshakes or fruit smoothies it's something you might share with another person or a once a month or quarterly treat. Pop Love Gelato is a Columbian based dessert company, that is new to the 757. Currently the other locations are in Florida. I had a chance to meet the owners, who are friendly & pleasant. They offer a wide variety of flavors ranging from tropical fruit such as soursop, passion fruit, lulo, papaya, mango the list goes on. Whether you're craving a natural sweet treat that's fruit based or have a hankering for some chocolate, creamy flavors they got you covered. With many options such as milk shakes, fruit smoothies, gelato popsicles, cold drinks, coffee, a few hand scooped gelato options or you're craving some Columbian desserts they will satisfy your sweet tooth without the over kill. While it does carry a hefty price, it still packs a punch with an explosion of creamy, tropical goodness and other chocolate faves. You are definitely paying for the high quality taste! I like that they offer flavors/fruits I never tried like lulo, as well as having soursop- a fruit I first tried in Ecuador and was the really tasty & delicious to me. They offer unique desserts, so pop in and grab an affogato, a milkshake, smoothie, popsicle or scoop of gelato. Or perhaps try one of their Columbian baked goods. They are located in Virginia Beach, VA in the Timberlake Shopping Center.

Drove here from the Oceanfront expecting them to be open at 7:30pm but when we got here they were closed and locked up :/ Their hours online show they're open until 9pm on Mondays, guess this is not true! Super sad we drove 25 min for nothing

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The passion love was a bit too sour. The fruity love was just perfect, fruits were fresh! Would go back and get the fruity love again.

We always end the night with a great dessert and we're so excited we found POP LOVE. We right away looked at their Instagram and were in love. We ran and got our top picks and it was so worth it. Cute decor. Young and energized staff. Will return.

This place has something for everyone. This is a very unique dessert shop that I found through TikTok. They have homemade popsicles with an abundance of different flavors. They also have huge tasty milkshakes along with Italian ice. The workers were very nice and knowledgeable about all they had to offer. The place its self was very clean and trendy. I recommended everyone come try this place!

The Love Story was beautiful and delicious.

This is a cute little shop with fun decor in a shopping center. We were looking for a unique dessert place to meet up with friends who live in the area. Overall we got 7 desserts and everyone loved what they got. We also tried some of their baked goods just for funnies and they were great too. We live out of state, but we visit the area occasionally and will definitely go back. The desserts were beautiful, unique, and delicious.

I had seen many great reviews but was under the misconception that it was a Gelato shop only. Not so, They have awesome ice cream, including dairy free options. The seasonal flavors have a wonderful consistency that I absolutely love. The dairy free choices, which I had tried at my earlier visit, had a normal ice cream consistency. At this trip to the Town Center shop I had a scoop of Lemon Custard & Peach. Both were awesome but I think my favorite is Lemon Custard, both from the seasonal list. Please don't take away the Lemon Custard in the fall in favor of pumpkin flavors. I love the Lemon Custard!!! Serving was excellent. I didn't need to do a taste test because I knew exactly what I wanted. I also signed up for the rewards program. Who can turn down the chance to get their awesome selections as a reward. The shop was set up similar but slightly different than the previous shop I had visited. The seating area was comfortable and spacious. In addition there was covered outside seating. The wall decorations fit the focus of the shop. The unisex bathroom had the same pink hall & door with the inside of the door painted blue. What an awesome way to decorate a unisex bathroom. The shop is in the TOWN CENTER Columbus Village Shopping Center. It's just around the corner front Barnes and Noble in the small amount of shops facing Virginia Beach Boulevard. You better believe I'll return. Thank you Victoria and Yelp for introducing me to this wonderful shop. I'm so glad there's one at Town Center.

My favorite flavor ever is the Cherry Vanilla that they normally have around February. Recently this summer I have been enjoying the Duo, the Coffee & Cream, and Mint Straciatella. The staff is always so sweet and helpful & the space is just a nice vibe. The best part is you can buy any flavor you like as a pint. I try to take advantage of that when my favorite flavors are available for a limited time.

It's a small, charming place with a lovely variety of flavors--and the staff was super kind and patient while we sampled quite a few options before making our final picks. (They didn't rush us at all, which was really appreciated.) I ended up going with the Strawberry Basil Gelato, which was light, refreshing, and surprisingly delicious--especially considering I don't usually go for strawberry anything. But this combo? It was giving elevated, not-too-sweet, and just the right balance. I think I'm officially in my icy era... we've done snowballs, Italian ices, and now gelato--so I'm fully committed to the frozen life right now. Is it dog friendly? Not quite. Dogs aren't allowed inside, but they do have outdoor seating where you can sit with your pup, so we'll call it half dog-friendly. Lexi got to enjoy the vibes from the patio, at least. And a fun little moment: we were the first ever customers to get our passport stamped here! That's becoming a bit of a trend for us, and it honestly feels like an honor each time. We love supporting local businesses, and this one definitely earned its place on the passport. The only reason you got a four is because you're not dog friendly on the inside

Probably need to walk through once and look before you start choosing or you will go overboard. Most of what is in the store is sold by a bulk price. All of the signs say $3.49 per 1/4 pound. That looks great. But that is $13.96 a pound. That probably wouldn't look great on a sign. So if you just start walking around grabbing a little if this and a little of that then your bag will get heavy real fast. Just be cautious. They also have all this old candy from when I was young. There are big candies. A lot of stuffed animals. There is a counter with fudge. All different kinds of salt water taffy. It is awesome.

We ordered one waffle cone, one Snowstorm, and one milkshake. Total: $30.50. Thirty dollars and fifty cents for ice cream. At that price I expected at least one topping to be sprinkled with gold dust or blessed by a dairy priest. I paid with tap to pay after the cashier specifically asked if I wanted to tap. Cool. Fine. No receipt given. We step aside waiting for our order when I notice the giant sign saying if you don't receive a receipt at the time of order, your order is free. Well well well. The plot thickens. So I politely go back and explain I never got a receipt. Cashier suddenly develops selective amnesia and says she'll just print one now. That's not how this works, babe. Then enters Margie, shift manager and defender of the treasury. Margie immediately starts throwing excuses around like confetti at a parade. First she claims the cashier asked if I wanted a receipt and I said no. False. Then she says they can't refund me because I paid with a card. I told her cash works just fine for me, I'm flexible. At this point Margie actually pulls the cash from the register, but instead of handing it over she disappears into the back to hold what I can only assume was an emergency Supreme Court hearing with the cashier. She returns and suddenly the story changes again. Now apparently the cashier asked "the man" if he wanted a receipt and he said no. Girrrrrllll. My nephew is a child. Also she never spoke to him. The lies were getting so creative I was waiting for them to blame the waffle cone itself. Eventually Margie gives the refund, but instead of handing me the money like a normal human being, she tosses it onto the counter like she was paying off a poker debt in a smoky back room casino. I said, "Next time, Margie, put my money in my hand." This woman looks me dead in my face and says, "Next time, MISSY, put your hand out if you want it in your hand." Honestly, the ice cream was good, but the customer service had all the warmth of a tax audit. 10/10 entertainment though. I came for dessert and accidentally got dinner theater.

We ordered an ice cream cone, a shake, and a something equivalent to a blizzard (I forget exactly what it's called). The items came to $30, and my sister used Apple Pay. I heard the cashier ask her "are you using tap" and she said yes. The transaction was completed and we continued to wait for her shake to be finished being made. During that time, I noticed a sign in the napkin holders that said "receipt every time or it's free." My sister must've noticed the same because she mentioned it to me and mentioned she didn't get a receipt. When she told the cashier, the cashier grabbed, Margie, the shift leader. A receipt was printed, and that was it. My sister mentioned the sign. First Margie said "I can't refund a card transaction." Ok....... So my sister asked if she could give her cash and Margie said yes. She even pulled the cashier grabbed out of the register only to go back to the initial cashier. She came back and said the cashier said "she asked did you want a receipt and he said no." First off, she did not ask, but secondly, WHO IS HE!? My 16 year old son who has no authority in anything!? Who was also in his own world oblivious to the entire transaction once he got his ice cream!? We simply told her that was not true and she should honor their signage. She proceeds to put the cash and change on the counter... RUDE. My sister asked her to next time place the money in her hand.. her response was "well next time hold your hand out" with an attitude. OK MARGIE. Piss poor customer service, too pricey for the product to begin with AND the service! We will absolutely not be back, but I hoped they learned about one of their own company policies today!!!!
