After trying a different Gelati Celesti at a Yelp event, I couldn't wait to try the one at Town Center. I had seen many great reviews but was under the misconception that it was a Gelato shop only. Not so, They have awesome ice cream, including dairy free options. The seasonal flavors have a wonderful consistency that I absolutely love. The dairy free choices, which I had tried at my earlier visit, had a normal ice cream consistency. At this trip to the Town Center shop I had a scoop of Lemon Custard & Peach. Both were awesome but I think my favorite is Lemon Custard, both from the seasonal list. Please don't take away the Lemon Custard in the fall in favor of pumpkin flavors. I love the Lemon Custard!!! Serving was excellent. I didn't need to do a taste test because I knew exactly what I wanted. I also signed up for the rewards program. Who can turn down the chance to get their awesome selections as a reward. The shop was set up similar but slightly different than the previous shop I had visited. The seating area was comfortable and spacious. In addition there was covered outside seating. The wall decorations fit the focus of the shop. The unisex bathroom had the same pink hall & door with the inside of the door painted blue. What an awesome way to decorate a unisex bathroom. The shop is in the TOWN CENTER Columbus Village Shopping Center. It's just around the corner front Barnes and Noble in the small amount of shops facing Virginia Beach Boulevard. Honestly obsessed with Gelati Celesti. It is easily my favorite place to get ice cream. The flavors and the consistency of the icecream is top tier! My favorite flavor ever is the Cherry Vanilla that they normally have around February. Recently this summer I have been enjoying the Duo, the Coffee & Cream, and Mint Straciatella. The staff is always so sweet and helpful & the space is just a nice vibe. The best part is you can buy any flavor you like as a pint. I popped in here for a little treat the other day. The young lady who helped me was super nice. I sampled almost all of the dairy-free options. After our Yelp Event at Gelati Celesti in the Hickman Place shopping center off of General Booth Blvd, we had to try the Town Center location. It did not disappoint. First time at this location. No idea how long it's been here, but it's actually pretty close to my house. I got the lavender recently at another location and wanted it again, but sadly it's gone. I sampled a few other flavors and settled on the chocolate hazelnut and the lemon custard, so I got a scoop of each in a cup. I was worried that the flavors would be weird together, but it was so amazing. I think that's the fastest I've ever eaten ice cream before. The lemon is so rich and is just freaking delicious. I have no other words. I just love it so much. The two girls serving us were so kind and helpful! Idk their name but I loved them too. They didn't make us feel stupid and we weren't an annoyance to them. It was a really positive experience. The store was so bright and cheerful too. I had a very disappointing experience. The young employee who helped us was extremely disrespectful and had a rude attitude throughout our interaction. We were polite, but it felt like we were an inconvenience the entire time. Good customer service starts with treating customers with basic courtesy and respect, and unfortunately that was completely lacking during our visit. I absolute love their mint chip and amaretto flavors too. We've even ordered a 6-flight of ice cream this past Valentine's Day and it was the absolute best V-Day outing. First time visiting this establishment but it won't be our last. We were heading elsewhere and it so happened it was closed. We did a search and this place was the closest. Upon entering we were greeted immediately and the two young ladies that were behind the counter were very friendly. The store is a nice size and has indoor and outdoor seating. National ice cream for breakfast day/my birthday what better way to celebrate then to start the day off with ice cream on your birthday for breakfast. So glad to find out they had heating outside while I'm waiting in line for the doors to open because it was definitely chilly out. Surprised at how many people showed up to celebrate. Lots of people in their pajamas are waiting for the doors to open. As soon as the doors open, everyone was greeted with a pajama dressed staff member! She was very pleasant, and very happy, which is very odd so early in the morning for a lot of people all of the staff was very pleasant, and so glad to see that they all were wearing their pajamas. First time this location of what I consider a flagship. Much more square footage, outdoor patio as well as many more flavors than Hilltop. The Town Center location is ideal for traffic. Find them beside CAVA just off the corner of Virginia Beach Blvd and Constitution. There is plenty of parking shared with other businesses. The area was clean, however the walk up had gummy bears spread out all over the nearby patio. The interior was bright and attractive, the dining room was empty as they were closing in 30 minutes. There was a good size line to order from menu boards. The staff was friendly and offered samples which my daughter and I took them up on. My daughter and I both chose the Carmel Brownie and I added Panda which has coconut. They start at one scoop up and I elected for a cup. They do offer large waffle cones. The cases are full of treats to go like full size ice cream pies, I cream sandwiches and a stand up case ice cream by the pint. They also have merchandise. We took our cups out to the patio which is very nice on a Summer evening. However there was minor debris on the floor, chairs were scattered and not wiped. Also the small outside van was overflowing. Unfortunately that's a full 1 star deduction for me. The ice cream was to die for yum! I'm sure I will return and hopefully they can police the patio better in the future. This is the 2nd location for Gelati Celesti in the Hampton Roads area where they serve Italian-style ice cream. The previous times combined, we walked away satisfied. How would this visit go you may ask? For today, we met new friends as part of a social group I run. Upon everybody arriving, we all went to the counter to order. The staff greeted us with an 'Hello!' and even let us taste some samples. I chose two scoops of Cookie Dough ice cream on a waffle cone. Very satisfied. You can really taste the cookie dough and the ice cream was thick, just the way it should be. And the waffle cone tasted like it was right out the wafflemaker. I would've preferred the Butter Pecan flavor that I sampled as well but nonetheless, I liked my selection. And so did my girlfriend and our friends as well.
