This is one of my top choices for hotpot and if I am craving for stinky tofu. Service is friendly and quick even though they are very busy. Vibe is trendy Taiwanese hot pot, clean with some private rooms and flat tv's all around. Hot pot - I have try many - my go to is number 1 house special with stinky tofu. However keep the spiciness level to med or lower as I tried the highest and can't enjoy the soup or the food as much. Seafood hot pot comes with assortment of seafood fish ball, imitation crab and various ingredients and it's yummy. And special value pick is their lunch special which is inexpensive and fills you up. It's definitely a unique hot pot restaurant that also offer tea etc.

Hot pot is one of those foods I could eat all year round and never get tired of! Pop Pot in Diamond Bar has such a wide variety of broths, snacks, and drinks to choose from. The staff are super friendly, and the vibe of the place is really relaxed. I've recommended it to my family, friends, and coworkers, and everyone has loved it. My favorite has to be the Popcorn Chicken Hot Pot. The first time I tried it, I thought it was so unique--I never expected popcorn chicken to taste this good in hot pot broth! The stinky tofu is also really authentic and flavorful, and it's a snack I always have to order.

I've been to a few spots in this plaza (Outpost Coffee, Dragon Noodle House, Paper Pot), and recently my friend recommended Pop Pot! We went in the afternoon after work and there was no wait thankfully! By the time we finished our meals it was about dinner time & all the tables were full. Despite the tables being relatively close to each other I'm glad the table we were seated at had ample space We ordered the Taiwanese Spicy Pot (mild) and House Special Pot (no spicy). I loved the spicy pot (I just wish I was better with spice, as the mild felt a bit more like medium). Still delicious nonetheless! Pay close attention to the ingredients in each soup set just in case for allergies like seafood or if you don't prefer stinky tofu. If you've never had stinky tofu before this is a great place to try with their house dipping sauce. Otherwise you can request a substitution for regular tofu. (: This place is much closer to me and less crowded than BP, so if I'm craving hotpot I'll be sure to return!

Ambiance: Typical Taiwanese hot pot aesthetic with lots of TVs Service: With the limited amount of servers their service was exceptional Food: I really enjoyed their house special. I felt the soup base was well balanced. Not too salty, but flavorful. The toppings had a nice variety as well. I do wish there were more sauce options and that they had gave more topping serving. Overall a good experience.

I love Pop Pot, the pumpkin hot pot is so filling, comforting and to die for! I do agree with the other helpers, the wait time did seem a little long, but in the end worth. Seating was very quick and the ambience of the restaurant was clean and nice. Perfect cold day meal for sure. The broth was very flavorful and the ingredients plentiful, im not a fan of tripe, and I wish they would of asked me what my other choice option would be instead of it. Or double up on the squash at least. Priced very reasonable to the portions and quality.

Good food but pricey. Pumpkin pot was good but i'd prefer it with beef (extra) instead of pork (incuded). Stinky tofu was okay, house special pot was a bit too salty for my liking.

Was in a nostalgic mood craving stinky pot and was in the neighborhood. The flavor was good and authentic, while the portion was a bit smaller than expected. There's a choice of black or green tea for free during lunch time. Overall the pop pot hit the spot.

This place is the better hot pot restaurant in the plaza. After my experience at paper pot, this one is so much better. We even ordered a plate of stinky tofu and popcorn chicken as our appetizers. I shared the seafood hot pot with my younger one. No spice in ours but the broth was good and not too spicy. There were clams and shrimp in ours. Can't remember the other two hot pots we ordered but one had blood cake and chicken. Again, good broth that didn't feel too salty or made us sleepy. We did have to ask for a refill on water. My older child ordered a spicy pot. Worth checking out and there's so many types of hot pot, can go multiple times. The stinky tofu was good but never enough stink!

We decided to try this place while i was in town visiting. We ordered their curry fish ball & satay beef hot pots along with their popcorn chicken and calamari rings. While everything came out quickly, and the hot pots tasted ok, I was not impressed by their popcorn chicken since they lacked flavor/seasoning. The calamari rings were clearly regular wholesale item that lacked flavor and was rubbery. I would go back to try other hot pots and other appetizers. It is nice that they are individual sized hot pots. The place is a small to medium size store front. Our server and staff were professional, attentive and friendly.

Came here with family who has come here multiple times and has loved this place for their hot pot fix for not too expensive. Most pots range from 18-25$, and are loaded with all the goodies you could ask for. When we came here around 5-6PM, the place was around 3/4 full and we did not need to wait too long. I was particularly intrigued by the popcorn chicken hot pot. I have never thought I would ever even consider this option, but after being convinced from the family as a fan favorite I had to try it. Overall, it was surprisingly good. The chicken mixed with the broth very well (although once too soggy it did become texturally a bit off) and I liked all the toppings with it. Although nothing too particularly stood out, everything meshed well together and it was a very filling meal. It was also very well appreciated that the staff comes around to check on the flames and helps you turn it off when it is boiling too much. Overall, a reasonable hot pot place with good portion and quality that is great for the fix.

Date of visit: 9/14/2024 One of our family fave places for hot pot. I did stop coming here for a while and only started frequenting this place again early this year because hubby missed hotpot late at night and only this place was still open. What we usually order here are: - mushroom pot - popcorn chicken pot - taiwanese mala pot - satay beef pot I rate this place better than the other taiwanese more famous/well known hotpot place.

Tired of the boiling point lines? Come to pop pot! As soon as you walk in there is a strong scent of stinky tofu but it goes away once your single serving of hot pot comes out. Portions are pretty filling and the drinks are unique! Try it out since it is starting to be soup season

I need to know if this is as good as hot spot when they were still around, that was my old go to place? And I just can't seem to find a place that replaced my old favorite place to go for a quick snack with great flavor?

I would say Pop Pot is very close to Hot Spot, a close second. I was a regular at Hot Spot, on Tuesdays when Hot Spot was closed, I would go to Smelly Pot (which is the owner of Pop Pot) to get my hotpot fix.

Upon entering the restaurant the host was friendly and seated us without a reservation which was very convenient since we were starving. The restaurant was clean and there were some TVs that were playing sports channels. We were given standard banchan and the steamed egg was cooked perfectly. The menu had an array of options such as prefixed combo and ala carte selections. We choose the mid level combo and wow there was ALOT of meat. My wife and I were blown away at the value of the combo because we underestimated how much brisket, bulgogi and short ribs would be coming. The server was attentive and assisted us with cooking our meats perfectly. The meat cuts were great and very flavorful so we ate to our hearts content until we were able to satiate our appetites. Overall the experience was so great that I came back a second time with my mom and brother and they enjoyed the place as well! I recommend this KBBQ spot to anyone looking for a great value and good service!

However, around 9:21 p.m., the staff began turning off the lights and shut off the air conditioning while we still had several meats left to cook. We were sweating and uncomfortable, as it was very apparent that everyone wanted to go home. However we felt rushed to finish our meal rather than being able to enjoy the dining experience we paid for. If a restaurant cannot accommodate diners who arrive 90 minutes before closing, it would be more appropriate to adjust the posted hours or communicate a last seating time. We understand staff want to get home at the end of the night, but guests should not feel pressured to leave before the advertised closing time. Food wasn't bad though. We'll see in the morning!

We got sat relatively fast for a Friday night and everything was going fine at first but after our first round of meats were ordered, our server would not tend to us for long periods of time. It was to the point that our grill was smoking and blackened for a long time and no one came to change it, despite multiple servers and busboys walking past to serve food to other tables. Furthermore, every time we tried to flag someone over to change our grill we never could because literally everyone actively avoided making eye contact with us and would walk away too fast to be heard. Then at some point during our dinner, our server just kind of disappeared entirely and we didn't see him for the rest of the night and he got replaced by some other guy but we never got any heads up about it, so it was just the cherry on top of an already very disappointing experience. The one silver lining was that food tasted good and the meat was higher quality than other kbbqs, but as I said in the beginning, both me and my partner have been having nonstop diarrhea since so good tasting food doesn't really matter. Neither of us had anything to eat besides Thirsty Cow that day so it couldn't have been anything else that we ate. For like $50 a person we expected much better service and no food poisoning, we won't be returning.
