First, I love Popeyes! But this place had 3 strikes and some errors. It was me in the lobby waiting to order. The cashier was busy getting together multiple togo orders and kept saying, just a moment. I'm like no problem take your time. She was hustling and then drivers hit the store and all these orders were out. She then took my order. She full-filled it quickly. Someone else helped with the ice tea. I go and sit down and take one bight and like nope. Not spicy! So i go back and tell her its not spicy and she tells me it is. The chicken was almost white. I was like, ok, i was just happy to eat. I take a sip of the ice tea, boom! Sweet tea. I specifically asked for regular un-sweet tea. I confirmed when she handed it to me. The manager then tased the tea and confirmed it was definitely sweet tea she gave me. I then get an unsweetened tea. I go back and sit down. The red beans and rice are borderline ice cold, the fries were horrible and soft and soggy, and no flavor. All in all, the absolute worst Popeye's experience ever. And they never fill the coleslaw cup or other sides up like most other Popeyes. Management needs to train the young Hispanics that work there better. A couple of people behind the counter seemed either confused about their jobs - or maybe they are just incredibly inefficient - I don't know. I ordered to eat in - and my food was presented to me in a "to go" bag. I sat at a table to eat. The shrimp and chicken were room temperature and tasted like they has been cooked long ago and were sitting for a period of time, the greens bean were also room temp and mushy. There's no rhyme or reason to this location. I've driven by here numerous times and it's almost always drive-through only. The one time the dining room was open, they were on their game with fresh, hot food and above average service for a fast food location. But every other time I've been, the dining room is closed with an extended drive through line. And more often than not, there's no note telling you the dining room is closed. I went through the drive-through on Sunday, April 10, 2022. My order total was $20.98. When I drove around to the window, the cashier took my money, handed my drinks out the window while looking and talking to some other worker then she shut the window and walked away. When she came back, she handed my food out the window, again, without looking at me, then she slammed the window shut. I sat there and honked my horn then she opened the window and said, "what." I asked her if she was going to give me my change. She then gave me the receipt and my change then slammed the window shut. During this entire exchange the only thing she said to me was "what." I honked my horn again then she opened the window and looked at me. I told her I wanted to speak to her manager. She called the manager over then walked away unconcerned. I told the manager that the girl was very rude. That she wasn't going to give me my change (if there is a change shortage, why should the customers suffer? I say round the ticket down and let the customers keep the extra change}. I also told her that she hands drinks and food out of the window without looking at the customer and she doesn't say thank you or you're welcome. The manager said the cashier doesn't speak English. She was very dismissive and wrongfully thought that merely speaking to me would placate me. That they are short of people and there is no one for her to hire. I told her that "nice" and "polite" has nothing to do with language and that rudeness can be an energy. The cashier doesn't need to speak English to LOOK at the customer. Plus, she understood everything else. The manager's response seemed very rehearsed and like she has said it over and over again. Who doesn't know thank you in English? Hell, she could have said it in Spanish! Her body language and her energy spoke rudeness very well. The number of negative reviews about this restaurant is ridiculous and clearly shows the owners, managers and workers at this place have absolutely no regard for their customers or semblance of pride in their work. I really like this Popeyes location and their staff here. The staff is always welcoming no matter the time of day I have come here for lunch or dinner from work. My co workers and I enjoy coming here on the Tuesday specials they have. Even as busy as they get this place has been on point. Their chicken for me has never been dry. It's always fresh and juicy. Sometimes can be hot because it's so fresh off the fryer. LoL Parking can be pain at times during their peak times. Getting out of the parking lot on Tuesdays can very combative with other drivers.
