I would only get simple takeout from here, and will never sit down to eat in this store again. I have eaten inside this store several times, sometimes alone, other times bringing over friends and family. All our sit-in meals were terrible. Staff were loud and aggressive regarding coloring books in the facility, coming across as if they are scolding us about it. We were told the coloring books and crayons were only allowed to be kept at one table and that all children within the store, even from different groups, have to sit together at this table if they want to color while there. This is a ridiculous thing I have never heard of. I would never let my small children sit away from our group with some strangers, or split from my group just so my kids can color in. They also scolded us for using more than one picture to color, stating that a child may only have one page each. I wonder why they don't just distribute a page to each child and some crayons to be returned when done? My friends and family don't want to eat here anymore. Staff, particularly what seems to be management, were loud and boisterous throughout our time there and came off very standoffish and dismissive towards my family members when they asked questions. So they threw 2 chicken sandwiches in as a replacement which are 4.99. Well I can't eat meat on Friday so they sit until tomorrow. Every time I go, which is rare, they do not have what I ordered. Terrible Popeyes!! My whole family has had to wait 20-32 minutes for our order, and that is with NO cars in line. They say "chicken isn't done, pull around". Twenty minutes later I go inside and ask "Did you forget about me?" "Oh, he just dropped the chicken. We will bring it out". 17 minutes later he brings it out! A total of 37 minutes to get an order of Bean/Rice and chicken sandwich.....Their first year opening, they were always running out of things: Beans, but no rice....No Shrimp....Potatoes, but no gravy....NO chicken! Went by the Canton, GA location (intersection of Riverside Pkwy and Canton Mill Dr.) to try and order a chicken sandwich again last night, and they failed me AGAIN (for the 3rd or 4th time). Every single time I'm filled with optimism and hope and every single time they prove to me that they can be 10 times worse than the last time. The lobby has not been open for over a year. You'd assume since the lobby is closed that drive thru would be smooth and seamless ? No absolutely not, you will wait a minimum of 3 minutes before they acknowledge your presence at the speaker and you will wait an additional 5 minutes at the window for your food. After that you will then drive off and return 2 minutes later because they have forgotten one of your sides. & to top it off they are always almost not participating in any of the specials that they have posted or they don't have items that are advertised. read more

It's 4:55 PM and I look and see nobody in the drive-thru, so I think maybe it might be safe and not have to wait an eternity. When I get to the speaker I see there's one car there already, but still shouldn't be a problem. Except we sit there for 5 minutes as the customer is on hold. When I get up to the speaker, they put me on hold for 5 minutes also. So I order something safe: chicken nuggets. It's just turned 5PM so surely they've got some prepared. When I get to the window the person of ahead of me is till waiting, despite no other customers being ahead of them. After I pay they ask "can you park? we don't have any chicken nuggets cooked." From previous experience I know "it'll just be 5 more minutes" means it'll be double that wait. So I ask for a refund (remember, they haven't started cooking anything, so it's not a big deal for them to offer a refund). Then they have to make me wait while they find a manager. Then the manager wants me to explain why I want a refund. Soooo much time wasted by the time I get out of there it's 5:30PM and I have nothing to show for it. read more

Main reason is because I love Popeyes, and the nearest one besides this is about a half hour away. Sadly, literally every time I come here they are out of several things. If it were because of the virus crisis I'd understand, but this store ran out of things way before the virus came about. Oh Lord have mercy. Poor hubby went to get us a quick meal from there. Both of us finished our 12hrs shifts and for once were ready to go home and relax after eating. I wished we went elsewhere. Actually l wished we had saved that money and just made something at home like we usually do. First, he waited 40 minutes because the chicken tenders had to be cooked. And guess what? They finally brought him the chicken tenders... COLD. Secondly, he asked for thighs(or breasts) and legs, but guess what? He received wings instead of legs. Hubby is too trusting. He did not check what he was bringing home. And cherry on top instead of it, he asked for ONE sauce: honey. Instead, they gave him 5 different sauces that have nothing to do with it (buffalo something, buttermilk ranch, mardi gras something, blackened something ranch, and sweet hot whatever). My dear trusting man once again did not check, because guess what? When you waste my time taking an order, l expect you to at least get it right! And of course the chicken was drowning in oil, the fries were less than a handful (like did you get me your last 15 fries thinking "it's okay, we can try and make another order out of this"? Popeyes has always been my only number 1 fast food (before l discovered Chick fil-A Polynesian sauce which brought them also to the number 1 position). And l have NEVER had to deal with such a mess. Look, it's Popeyes. You're not walking into a Michelin star restaurant, and this location is still very new. We went opening week, and yes, it was a train wreck. All the workers were unprepared for the large volume of Popeyes fans, but the food was pretty standard fare. Give this place a while to get into a groove. The mostly high school student staff will likely have a lot of turnaround, as many of these places do, but the management should get a handle on the overall execution. If after a few months it's still super hectic, then start in with the complaints. A new sit-down restaurant should indeed work out kinks quickly, because they have more down time to train/educate servers/cooks/etc, but fast food is different. Lower your expectations a bit to what Popeyes is: greasy thus tasty fried foods served at low cost with a slight wait. read more

Plenty of fast food places around canton have fluctuated in how good the service is but this popeyes has overwhelming proved itself as the worst in canton. It is notoriously known for being atrocious in food quality and service. I would not take the pccasional positivie review as any solace, ive been here about a dozen times and not even had a decent experience. Its been terrible everytime. We came in tonight to order takeout instead of using the drive-thru. There were only three people working but they were all busting their butts. The night manager named Albert pleasantly greeted us and told my wife and I he would be right with us after he was putting meals together for the drive-thru. Once he finished, he took our order and was very nice and joyful and asked us for our side, classic or spicy chicken , and our drinks. After he took our order, we got our drinks and sat down and waited as him and his team were dropping more chicken to cook and preparing all of the orders in front of us. All three were communicating with one another and moving as fast as possible to get the orders out. I was very impressed as it seems this place has several negative comments and the customer service tonight was on par! I stopped here once before about a year ago and was not impressed at all. But tonight, my wife was craving Popeyes chicken so we drove up here from Holly Springs to get a taste. Overall, I will say that Albert and the two employees (1 female and 1 male) were doing an exceptional job tonight. The food was awesome, fresh, and hot...exactly how it should be. Only downfall was they placed mashed potatoes in with the 3 piece chicken tenders instead of the fries we ordered. But understandable with everything these three had to do. This location is relatively new so has a fresh and clean feel to it. We came in around 7pm to pick up dinner and they were out of a lot of items on the menu and the soda fountain was completely broken. Staff was friendly, but seemed stress about the crowds. Food is typical fast food. We had to wait for fresh chicken tenders which was fine as I rather have new ones than eat some that had been sitting out. They messed up the sides on our order, but it wasn't a big deal. Another issue was they couldn't print receipts because they were out of paper. Sounds like they need help getting things better under control and having things in stock. Overall, not a bad experience and I'd give them another chance. read more

We have been here once before and wanted to give them another chance... ordered a 3 piece chicken tender meal... pictures say enough, we got 5 pieces of fried chicken skin... it was hard and cold and no biscuit. We actually drove back around he drive thru because we can't justify spending 10$ for a half complete meal... when we showed the guy at the drive thru he literally said "oh gosh not again!" With an eye roll... this place sucks. Plain and simple.
