Insanely slow!!! I waited 20 mins and only advanced 4 spots...2 were because people decided to leave the queue. Is this supposed to be fast food?? I edited the review to 3 stars from 1 star because the service at the window was quite good. Also the food was delicious and super fresh. I would only go inside from now on though since it should we open by Monday. The drive thru took 1 hr. I would not go here with the expectation of fast food. Tried to eat here and both doors were locked. There were employees inside that just looked at us. There was no sign on the door that let us know drive through only. We did see folks using the drive through, but we did not want to eat in our car. read more

Good food but the service is slow! I've been to this location three times now and each time the service has been slow. I usually place my order in person (walk in) and ended up waiting 15-20 minute. Even when it's not busy, they seem to prioritize mobile and drive-thru orders, so if you walk i, be prepared to wait. read more

I went through the drive through everything was slow took forever to give out orders. The person that handed me my food was very rude and opened the window and when I was speaking to the person they closed the window while I was still talking. When I got my food it was the wrong sauce and the wrong side. The food is never really hot it's always warm or cold. read more

STAY AWAY! This is by far the worst Popeyes I have ever been to. The drivethru line was over an hour. And there is literally a concrete barrier that prevents you from exiting the drivethru line. They trap you in place while you have to wait 40 minutes to place your order, and 30 more minutes to pick it up. Never go here. It's just not worth it. Just go to Chick-fil-A or Cookout instead. Or even just go home hungry and hit yourself in the face with a brick. You would almost certainly be glad that you did that instead of trying to get food here. read more

Recently opened, a more convenient location for those of us coming from Chapel Hill. Right now drive thru only, and quite a line to order. At least there's room to queue unlike Guess Road. Retrieved our food and pulled away, then realized they forgot my chicken sandwich. They were cool when I ran back to the window to claim it. Still working out the kinks here, I'm sure they'll do fine. The food as good as at any other Popeyes. read more

Update: The Popeyes franchise reached out after my last bad review and offered coupons. Having given them several tries again since then ...it's still a never-ending dumpster fire of a location. DON'T BLAME THE EMPLOYEES THOUGH! It's obvious that they're constantly and woefully understaffed. On my last visit, one poor woman was running BOTH windows, running back and forth to enter orders, run the register, and hand out the food & drinks. On another visit, about 10 minutes after they had opened, the card payment systems still hadn't finished a reboot. That caused my "I'm the only customer in line, first thing in the morning. What could go wrong?" to take over 10 minutes for one chicken strips meal. It's not uncommon for them to be out of menu items. At least I can now get through the line better because fewer people are willing to spin the wheel of disappointment. Corporate: Give this store to another franchise owner. Pay your people better. Stop understaffing or don't open at all. read more

Drive through, person at the window was kind and informative about the timing of what type of chicken will be ready. They let you know for regular it will be 4 min. They did not just say pull over and someone will bring it out, then you sit there 20 min and they have an attitude for having to come out to bring food. But my case were different, no waiting food was fresh and tasty and the spices really came through. The tenders i order were lightly breaded and the oil seems almost new. This were one of the best Pop Eyes i encounter other than when i was in Louisiana and at the airport. Great place to eat read more

As others have noted, this is almost too slow to even rank as a fast food restaurant. Given that my wait time has averaged between 40-60 minutes, I'd have to compare it sit down restaurants that serve chicken. Check your order and make sure you're not missing items before leaving. 3 sides were missing and sauce. You have to ask for your drink if getting a combo since they don't ask. Chicken is good but not sure if it's worth the frustration. read more

Agree..... the wait so long at the driveup that it's no longer about the food. Small children in the car needing a nap and hungry and no way to get out of line because of that cement barrier.
