Small, crowded and the staff aren't very attentive. Took forever. Didn't enjoy eating in.

Jamaica Jamaica has been around forever as a staple to the RTP area, and while the rest of the…read moreworld has been changing, a lot of Jamaica Jamaica has remained the same since I was younger, which I have no problem with! With their big lunch boxes, and delicious food, Jamaica Jamaica got me hooked on Jamaican/Caribbean food and I consider it one of my favorite cuisines. I'd say my Jamaica Jamaica life could be split into 3 segments, in which I would always get the same thing no matter what. My first phase was the curry chicken - such a fantastic dish with chicken that came off the bone, a vibrant curry sauce, and potatoes and carrots to round out the dish. When you paired it with rice, cabbage and plantains, it was an almost perfect meal. My second phase was the curry shrimp, I was always enticed by having a seafood option. The flavors of the curry shrimp were the same as the curry chicken, except the vegetables varied. I enjoyed this dish too, but I would say the biggest issue would be that the shrimp sometimes got really soft after sitting out for some time. My current phase is their Jerk chicken. I would say that their Jerk chicken is unique because they make the chicken, but they let it sit in a sauce that soaks up the seasoning. This is a great topper for my rice, but I think it contributes to the fact that the Jerk chicken is definitely not as flavorful as I know it to be. It misses the mark on bringing the heat, it has some flavor and heat but it is very very mild in my opinion. Generally speaking, I would be aware of the Jerk chicken drying out. This has happened to me on an occasion or two, along with the rice being dry too. Outside the realm of food, I would say the interior could use a little work. The furniture is a bit dated and things are cluttered. However, the staff working there is nice and they always pack the food in a big to-go container, so you can bring it back to the office, and then home because they are not shy about the portions. Glad that hasn't changed!

This place looks like your typical Jamaican joint; tbh I'm sketched out if the setting is too modern. They had counter service so it was quick and easy to order and eat.

I didn't mind the 15-minute wait but for $16-17...I was expecting a hot and fresh meal. Oh, was I wrong. I went with the 5-wings and fries combo. When I opened my box, there were barely any fries. It consisted of small, burnt, and broken pieces of fries. It was as if they gave me the left over fries from each previous batch. I've been eating fries all my life and know what fresh fries should taste like. This was definitely old fries. Now onto the chicken wings, if this is how wings taste in Buffalo, I'm going to save myself a trip and not visit. It was over cooked and dry. These are supposed to be hot wings and there were barely any sauce on it, more like naked wings to me. If you spend 15-minutes to make my food, do it right or just give me a refund. If you're not going to deliver it like your advertisements, let us know so we can take our money elsewhere. Thanks!

I do always get an extra sauce however because I'm a sauce person and it's good. The fried crab sticks are a unique touch although my favorite menu items would be the littos! I have since converted to a plant based diet and am pleased to say that the the jerk vegan litto is up to par with the others. It can be spicy though so beware lol. They also now offer a vegan beyond meat litto I am dying to try I just have not gotten around to it. I would say give them a try.

Pluses: Where else can you find fried crab, Buffalo wings, shrimp tacos, tamales, and General Tso's…read morechicken all in the same place? The servers keep the glasses filled, too. Minuses: Nothing is really very good; you have to wonder about compliance with the health codes when an open crate of plantains is sitting directly in front of the fish tank. Came here for dinner at 7:30 on a Wednesday night. It wasn't very busy, and we could sit down immediately. Atmosphere is nonexistent, but hey--Chinese buffet. As long as you keep that in mind when you're eating, you'll be fine. This is a place to get filled up, cheap, and it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Might be better for lunch--maybe things are fresher?

I come back noticing a sign that says "New Mr.Wok" and thought that they had done something to improve the restaurant. Well, first off it was new because the ownership was new. They must've had a different idea in place because the restaurant took a complete 180 spin. Originally, the buffet had 2 long lines of hot food, one of the lines being more authentic than the other and changing depending on the day. Now, there is only 1 line of hot food and it's a mix between authentic Chinese and a more "Americanized" Chinese. Most of the food is fried and the options for vegetables is limited. On the day I came, only green beans were my vegetable options. The food was OK at best. In the back side of the restaurant you can order noodle soups or do mongolian grill or even tacos if the chef is available. They used to do Taiwanese, but not anymore which is something I will miss. The Mongolian grill is new though so I guess that's the substitute for the Taiwanese....which doesn't match in quality. Customer service was definitely a problem during my visit to Mr. Wok. I'm just going to guess that this was just some one time thing due to the recent ownership change in the restaurant, but the woman wouldn't even pay attention to us while we were making our transaction. Overall, I was definitely not impressed. There probably will not be a return visit any time soon especially when there's Hibachi and Super Asian Buffet not too far from my house either.

It took a few months, but I finally stopped by on my way home from the Raleigh airport and was reunited with the chain. It was late, so we just ordered at the window and ate in the car. I ordered the 8 Layer Veggie Burrito (without sour cream). It's still just as good as I remembered it when I lived in Arizona. There was only one person ahead of us in the drive-thru, so it took maybe about 3 minutes for us to get our food once we ordered. I would consider Del Taco to be a healthier Taco Bell. It's not something I will drive 45 minutes out of my way for, but if it's in a convenient location, I'm all about it.

This is the typical fast- food taco restaurant. It offers many food items and combo options and drinks, which is what I look for in a taco place like this. I went for a hard-shell beef taco and a cheeseburger (I was curious about trying one from a taco restaurant). The taco was good out the hamburger was OK. I mean, not the best I have had, but I would come back for more tacos.  Staff was helpful and friendly. There is plenty of free parking. Again, I would come back for more tacos, and only tacos.
