When: Friday at 1 PM, dined in Overall: 4.8/5 - I know it's Popeyes, but this was genuinely one of the best experiences I've had at one. Great food, super clean, and the nicest staff ever. Food: 4.9/5 - I got the two-piece signature fried chicken with a biscuit and mashed potatoes with gravy. Popeyes chicken always slaps. But this chicken slapped even harder. Fresh out the mf fryer. The biscuit was actually one of the best Popeyes biscuits I've had. It was super fresh and buttery and didn't taste like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Mashed potatoes and gravy are always a safe bet and they hit the spot. Everything was hot and just really well made. Service: 4.8/5 - 4.8 out of 5 is probably pretty high for a Popeyes, but this team earned it. Every single worker--from the cashier to the line cooks--was so sweet to each other and to the customers. They were saying things like "thank you sweetie," "yes sir," "yes ma'am," and genuinely looked happy to be there. They were helping everyone with questions and requests with a smile. I was honestly shocked because let's be real, that's not the usual vibe at most Popeyes. Usually you hear yelling or get ignored, but this crew was on it and clearly cared. I was really surprised to just see them being friendly to each other too and actually speaking to other staff like they were good friends. Downloaded this app again just to copy and paste my review from Google. It needs to be seen. I never make reviews. When I do, it's NOT good. This long rant was brought to you by incompetent Popeyes employees. Came here on July 5th and I'm still thinking about how terrible the food and service we got was. The following is required for context. As usual the mobile app was not working for me, so I had to place my order at the window. Now I can get a little complicated at times and I understand keeping window times down, that's why I make it easier on everyone to make a mobile order and modify my items that way. I could not do that this time, so I pulled to the window and had my husband read off what I put in on the app. We were greeted cheerfully, but after he finished his order and went to say mine, I could tell there was an attitude in the workers voice. She was getting huffy and had a curt tone. I didn't appreciate that, and I knew then and there we wouldn't get what we asked for modification wise. I'm not sure how someone wanting extra sauce on your guys' already dry as hell chicken sandwich is so hard to do. Why on earth get an attitude with the customer for wanting something that you offer? I wish I had gotten her name, and everyone else who was working that shift that day because they deserve to be reprimanded. Literally the modifications were extra sauce on both sandwiches, no pickles (the only one they listened to), and there was mix up with wanting extra gravy on the mashed potatoes. As someone who used to work in food service, it's not that hard to listen to the customer and just DO YOUR JOB. They took it so personally that I wanted to enjoy Popeyes slop (hasn't been good in years no shade but I was desperate for chicken and this location was nearest to me at the time) that they didn't honor any of my requests and they even tried to not give me a part of my order! How are you going to 1. Get an attitude with me over EXTRA SAUCE 2. Not do your job and take stupid shit personal 3. Get my order wrong on top of all that?? I asked for a spicy dark meat 3 piece chicken and we did not receive that at all. We reversed in the drive though (don't recommend but my husband already did it and there was no one behind us at that moment) and told them they forgot a 3 piece chicken and they didn't believe us!!! LITERALLY WHAT THE HELL???? YOU **JUST** TOOK OUR FREAKING ORDER AND YOU DON'T REMEMBER THAT WE SAID THAT??? So I unbelievably showed them the receipt and they quickly handed us a box of chicken without saying a word. Okay rude as fuck I see how it is. I checked after we pulled off and it was not the correct spicy chicken, just regular but at least it was dark meat. I wasn't going back there and making them mad, who knows, with the particular staff that was there they would have jumped me just for asking for the FUCKING ITEM I PAID FOR. I said all this to say, please get better employees or train them not to let this customer stuff get to them (for whatever reason) and to just listen and do their jobs properly. They do NOT care AT ALL about their jobs or doing it correctly, they just show up do the absolute minimum and want a check for that. This is why I dread going to places with young staff honestly. Waited for the hype of the chicken sandwich to subside before venturing to a Popeyes. We were heading home and decided to stop at this location since it was right off the highway. And so glad that we did! We ordered the chicken sandwich (not spicy), chicken tenders, Cajun fries, and the red beans and rice. For dessert we tried their Cinnamon Apple Pie. The star of the show was the chicken sandwich! It was really, really, really good! It was a perfect mix of crispy on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside. There is no comparison to CFA. That's like comparing apples to oranges. The coating/ breading is different. They are both delicious in their own way. The manager came around to check-in with those of us dining in. He was friendly, polite, and attentive. He also provided us with the Cajun Sparkle seasoning which had he not brought over, I would not have known it existed. It bumped up the flavor of the chicken sandwich. And it's not spicy at all (which is a bonus since I'm a spice wimp). I would definitely order the chicken sandwich again! read more

Finally tried the chicken sandwich here after all the hype build up from all the media outlets. I had high expectations and was very let down. I mean people were getting stabbed and wrecking their cars for this sandwich right? We ordered a 4 piece meal which came with a side and a biscuit, a 1 tender combo which came with a side and a biscuit, and 3 of the spicy chicken sandwiches. We got fries for the sides. The spicy chicken sandwiches: they were very crunchy, however, that's all it really was. The breading was a little too salty for my taste and I didn't really taste much of the spicy mayo. It's a win for Chick-fil-A in my book. Their spicy chicken sandwich while not as crunchy has the spice seasoning built in their batter and doesn't require any sauce - eaten as is and still delectable. Their batter also contains a hint of sweetness which is a plus. For the regular fried chicken which we ordered spicy: I compare this to Bojangles and Bo's wins by a long shot. The breading again on the chicken here at Popeyes is just overly salty for me. The saltiness really overpowered the spiciness. Bo's is not only juicy but their skin while not as crunchy fills in the gap with their perfect blend of spice into their batter. It's all a matter of preference and for me, Popeyes just doesn't cut it in my book. My recommendation is stick with Chick-fil-A for the sandwiches and good ol' Bojangles for fried chicken. I hate to give any food establishment a bad review. Being in the food business is a tough game, but when it seems that the employees go out of their way to give me a horrible experience, then I will reciprocate. Placed an order with the Mobile App. Waited almost 40 minutes in the drive-thru once getting in line, until actually receiving the food. That is absolutely, 100% beyond unacceptable. Then, had to go inside to get my drinks, because the employee who brought out the food (I assume a mgr.) didnt bring them. Also, he didnt seem to concerned. He just handed over the food and wandered back inside. Went inside after waiting about 5 more minutes, for the drinks, and the employee at the counter pointed at drinks and said that the manager told her to make them, but not what to do with them. So, they just set there. For anyone to partake in. Think about that. Chicken in 2 of the 3 boxes was not correct, not to mention no biscuits. The cornerstone of the Popeyes combo, THE BISCUIT! was not included in either meal. The side of beans and rice was either days old, or the rice was undercooked. The rice was crunchy, not to mention the cup was only half-full. But it went in the trash, so I guess it doesnt really matter. Ordered 4 sauces, and received 2. Also, one of the sauces looked like another sauce exploded on it. It went in the trash. This location used to be fantastic, we would visit a few times per month. Now, I cant imagine ever going back. Since Covid, this location has went so far downhill, its ridiculous. On previous visits they were out of: 1. Ketchup 2. Sauces 3. Sides 4. Chicken. You're a Chicken Restaurant. How the hell do you run out? This location has a serious Management or Franchise Owner problem/s. To top off the night, the phone number on the receipt, to do the survey, is disconnected. Classy. For fast food, this is pretty good. My husband loves Popeye's, especially their red beans and rice, so when we're near one, we typically stop. This particular one, we've been to twice. Lady that took my order was very friendly, and if I have any complaint about Popeye's, it would be the service at some locations, but not this one. My favorite item is the red beans & rice. Love that stuff. Got their special ($5 box), and it came with chicken tenders, 2 sides and a biscuit. I tried their slaw, and it was okay. My wife got green beans, and they were kind of tasteless.
