Came in on a Friday night to get a large order for 10 people (33 pieces of chicken, plus some sides). With such a large order, they offered to cook it up fresh for me. It took about 15 minutes and I was off with hot steaming chicken! What I appreciated was the offer for super freshly fried chicken, and an estimate of time that was relatively close to what they said it would be. As a bonus, it looks like everyone behind the counter was happy and very friendly. That made the wait seem even shorter. While the service I received incredible, the food was horible. The jambalaya was the worse thing I have tasted in a long time, the meat in it tasted like it was 5 days old. Ordered our food and then the manager tell me that the guy rang out order up wrong and that I owed them 4.99. I didn't complain and just paid it and then was looking at my receipt and when I noticed that she now owed me 1.57 she took the receipts and said you wanted 2 large side and he charged you for 2 regular I said yes that's right a large is 4.99 and here I was charged 5 something for them she said that it's even cause 2 regular equal a large unsaid you don't make since and it was your mess up not mine so really you shouldn't have charged me. Yesterday I went to Popeye's since I was in the neighborhood otherwise its a long drive to get there. They screwed up my whole order. I spent $45 so I was very upset. I ordered the 12 piece meal. I asked for spicy tenders I got mild bone in chicken wanted mashed potatoes and red beans n rice got 2 orders of red beans n rice. Ordered a 3piece tender meal for my nephew since he doesn't like spicy he ordered fries with his and got mashed. I also ordered a popcorn shrimp and fish meal, it was dry couldn't eat the shrimp. The drive through lacks quantity control; when I came back to get my biscuits & gravy the manager was able to give me my missing items & an apoology but that was all. I came through the drive thru at around 1:55am before Popeyes closed. I originally wanted 2 chicken sandwiches but was told there isn't anymore available. (Mind you the order screen says three spicy chicken sandwiches for the car In front of me so I figured it wouldn't be a problem to order.)I ended up settling for a $10 Box. After I placed my order and was told to go to the last window I had to wait for the car in front of me to get done talking with the employees in Popeyes before I could get to the window. The time is now 2:07am as I pull up to the window. This is where things get interesting. After waiting for almost 12 minutes now the employees tell me they have thrown away all the food and isn't able to give me anything at the moment. I told them that you already took my order and I have waited their shouldn't be any excuse why the food isn't ready and I'm able to make my purchase and go about my day. There was three individuals working this night and not one person was able to let who ever was on the mic know they are not to sell anything else due to preparation of closing. As a customer this is inexcusable why this has happened at this location. I suggested some type of complementary food for this altercation but was only given two pies and a coupon paper. At this point I refused the drink and strongly suggested a proper meal and service the next time I come in. I just wanted the employees to understand from the consumers perspective that I wasn't happy with the service on this trip. And also when I asked for the employees names they refused except one. Even the manager didn't want to give me her name and I though that was pathetic. The nearest Popeyes besides this location is way over on 122nd and is a pretty far drive just to avoid an inconvenient location. Today I and my Rattie went for some Chicken and since I am a low income senior I ended up with the 2 piece of Chicken and a Biscuit for $4.99. I ordered one piece original and the second one (for me) spicy. What I received was a very small leg piece with hardly any meat on the bone and a small breast with more bone than meat. That being said, the Gresham location always messes up my order. Missing chicken tenders, no sauce, wrong drink, no biscuit (one of the best part of the meal), and many more issues on numerous occasions happen when I go there. It's late Friday night (6/16) and I got hungry, since I didn't eat dinner.. I stopped by Popeyes in Gresham around 11ish. I ordered the $5 sweet & crunchy tender box. I like my food fresh, if the business is slow.. and nobody was in the drive thru line, so I asked! The person behind the microphone was GREAT! Soft spoken, let me know before how long my order was going to take. I drove up, and the woman's name was Alberta; according to my receipt. She was wearing a blue Popeyes shirt so I believe maybe she was a manager? I waited a couple mins and she checked in on me and told me it would be ready in a few. She was great!!! I received my order and you could smell the freshness. So also big shout out to the 2 guys working in the back as well. I got home and I also received coupons and an apple pie in my bag!!! SO sweet. I love when people go above and beyond in the workplace. I truly hope Alberta, will be recognized for her OUTSTANDING customer service skills and hard work. Showed up and the store was not exactly clean. Staff consisted of high school kids and non english speaking workers. No adult manager in sight. Ordered the 3 piece chicken tender meal. Chicken did not look like the other order of the same thing at my table. Was greasy and chewy. Went on with my trip and by midnight I was sick as hell and spent the rest of my vacation between bed and the bathroom. Contacted the store and filed a complaint. Their insurance company contacted me for a report and then the blow off process began. They have done everything from losing paperwork to hanging up on me. This is not a company that respects its customers or their health. I had 3 Dr visits and several days off work and they wont do anything about it. Another horrible fast food place where it is unbelievable that the prior patrons could give this more than a star. I drove through and wanted a 5 piece chicken strips, buffalo chicken meal, and an order of buffalo chicken (no meal). Not only was it hard to understand the accent of the person on the speaker, but the receipt he handed me had a single large Dr Pepper on it with nothing else, yet somehow this idiot gave me $1.65 back from a $20. He informed me it was his very first day of work and there was absolutely no one else in sight inside this establishment. I saw NO ONE. NO ONE checking his work, NO ONE making sure he didn't screw up the register, NO ONE!! Get back to the house, I had received two full buffalo chicken meals and the five piece. All the fries were old and horrible, the buffalo chicken was dry and had some splattered sauce on some of the pieces. Pathetic. How hard is it to make the chicken look like the pictures and the advertisement flashing on the commercials and the screens inside the restaurant? PUT THE FREAKING BUFFALO SAUCE ON THERE!! How hard is that? I will not be going back to this POS store ever again. With all the other choices in Gresham for food, this one should be avoided at all costs. Let me start by saying I love Popeyes, especially their onion rings. Having said that, this particular restaurant is a total write-off due to an extremely rude manager. I went in this morning hoping to us a coupon on my phone. I pulled it up and showed the girl at the counter, who then called her manager over. The manager said I needed to back up a page so she could see where the coupon came from and I told her if I back up it will void out the one-time use coupon. She insisted and so I did and of course it voided the coupon. She then started to lecture me about only using coupons once and when I tried to point out that I had just opened the coupon and showed it to the staff member she stormed off. I turned back to the register and told the girl I would go somewhere else (McDonalds next door)...and I did!
