Was in Rhode Island and ran across Popeye's. I didn't realize there was a Popeye's in the East. So we went to Popeye's for lunch. Food was the same as you find in the south. But it's a chain restaurant so it's consistent. We had boneless wings, shrimp, & a chicken meal. The Cajun rice was yummy! And you gotta sprinkle on those "Cajun Sparkle"

I live on the closer to the smith street location but I decided to go the Hartford ave location instead. Never knew I'd regret it. I never ever had a problem when ordering from this Popeyes. I waited in the drive thru for roughly 20 minutes because there was a line. That didn't bother me because I know that it's a popular restaurant. The person who took my order was extremely nice and respectful but the person who cooked my food was careless. I ordered a popcorn shrimp combo which is the only thing I ever order when I go here. So when I got to the window, it was "ready". and like I've previously mentioned, I never had a problem with their food before so I didnt open they box to check until I got home. I was disgusted. I couldn't even finish eating the food because majority of it was covered with uncooked batter and the shrimp was undercooked. I guess they rushed my food out because of the long line and fast food workers are timed so if the food isn't out at a certain time, it effects them. If they actually cared they could have asked me to pull over and wait or come inside. I was so disappointed. If I had checked before I left the drive thru line, I would've went back inside for a refund or asked them to remake it! If I didn't live 15 minutes away from the restaurant I would've went back as soon as I Saw it. So instead, I looked at the back of the receipt and did the survey to voice what happened. There was an option to select for the restaurant to call the customer to further discuss the problem. Ever since the incident, the restaurant has made 0 attempts to resolve the issue. I will definitely NOT be going to the location again. That was a waste of my $9.51.

Dry hard as a rock and old. This Is How They gave me five of my six hot wings. Won't ever go back to this location.

I walked into a bright, clean, and energetic restaurant with a fast-paced atmosphere that reflects how popular the chain has become. Even with a line forming at the counter, the staff kept things moving efficiently, and the operation felt well organized considering the volume of customers coming through the door. I went with one of the tender combos, which is really the reason most people come here in the first place. The chicken tenders were juicy, freshly cooked, and had a crispy coating that held up well without feeling overly heavy. The coating had a good crunch that stayed intact through the meal, and the chicken itself was moist and tender throughout. The real standout, though, is the Cane's Sauce. It adds a tangy, peppery flavor that works perfectly with the chicken and honestly ties the entire meal together. Between the tenders, crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast, it is a simple meal, but one that is executed consistently well. The toast is buttery and soft, and the fries are solid enough to hold their own alongside the main event. One thing I have noticed is that the chicken can occasionally feel a little greasy depending on the visit, especially if you are ordering a larger combo. For some people that may not be an issue at all, while others might find it sits a bit heavy afterward. That has varied from visit to visit, but it is worth mentioning because the meal is definitely on the richer side compared to some other fast food chicken options. The coleslaw provides a lighter contrast, though it is a fairly standard version of the side and does not stand out the way the chicken and sauce do. The staff during my visit were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was well maintained. Food came out quickly, and despite the limited menu, there is something refreshing about a place that focuses on doing one thing rather than trying to offer dozens of different options. The simplicity of the menu makes the decision process easy, and the consistency of the meal across visits is a big part of the appeal. Raising Cane's delivers a satisfying chicken tender meal with quality chicken, a great signature sauce, and consistently solid sides. It may not be the lightest meal around, but when you are in the mood for crispy chicken tenders and a straightforward comfort-food combo, it is easy to see why so many people keep coming back. The meal is familiar, filling, and hits the right notes for what it sets out to do.

As an A Christmas Story fan I was happy to see the location decked out in themes from the movie. The restaurant itself was well done and spacious. Staff were friendly and kept the line moving quickly. One staff never even asked if our food was okay- something you don't normally see at fast food places. I ordered the three finger combo and it was excellent! Texas toast was standard but toasted well, fries were nice and crispy, and the chicken itself was slightly crunchy and very juicy. I will say that the star of the show was the Cane's sauce. It was super peppery but also had a nice flavor to it. This was coupled with a super sweet but tasty sweet tea. If you don't have students recommending this place let me be the one to do it for you!
