Definitely gives you family vibes there. I ordered a special which was the cod prepared three different ways. The traditional gomes sa was my least favorite. There was a flavor I couldn't pinpoint that I just didn't care for. The á bras was good, just as you'd expect it to be. The ze do pippo was my first time trying it. They do it with a mayo-mustard topping on a portion of cod (watch the bones) served on top of small potatoes. It wasn't bad but it's VERY rich. Might just not be my thing. They also had a kale soup that I took home that was very good. All in all, I would be interested in trying other dishes and updating this review when I do. The woman there was nice and they seem proud of the food they put out. I'll be back.

I did not cook them based on the color, however the texture seemed not cooked. I will return to try other items on the menu. Very clean and friendly establishment

I was going to purchase the store brand soup in the deli section when I came across this new brand. There was a promo of BOGO. The price was not listed. The brand was Blount Clam Shack, all the way from the east coast to the west coast (Massachusetts to California) There were only two kinds of soup available - gumbo and New England clam chowder. Okay, why not go for the promo? It doesn't hurt to taste the soup. Drawback? The gumbo is high in sodium (2320 mg if one eats all 24 ounces [3 servings] of it at once). Thirdly, I had some of the gumbo soup with a piece of garlic French bread last night for dinner. The soup was delicious and tasty. This afternoon I had another serving of the soup for lunch. The seasonings must have settled in the soup because it tasted better as leftover. The clam chowder soup is even higher in sodium, so I will put it aside for a few days before eating it. Finally, will I buy it again? Might, then might not. It's pricey like everything else in the deli section.

French onion soup was very good but the clams casino lack luster. They certainly make the food look all dressed up, even around the plate but it does not improve the flavor or freshness. Fresh and simple is best. Don't know if I will be back.

The menu & reviews looked promising. I'm glad we had reservations, as they were packed on a Saturday night. I was pleased that we were seated within 5 minutes. I was also pleased that their huge booth fit 4 of us comfortably & they were happy to add a chair at the end for our 5th guest. A basket of warm rolls was immediately placed on our table. The large menu had something for everyone in every price range. We started with drinks, all of which were good. My companion & I shared a bottle of Clean Slate Riesling ($33) which we enjoyed. She & I both ordered the baked sea scallop special, which came with 2 dinner sides for $24.99. The scallops were delicious but I would have been happier if my baked potato & steamed broccoli had been cooked just a few minutes longer. They were edible, just not quite as soft as I prefer. Our friends enjoyed their meals... citrus swordfish (also one of the specials), French onion soup & salad, and a chicken salad sandwich. My companion & I shared a piece of lemon meringue pie for dessert, which was good. It wasn't as big a serving as at some restaurants, but it was enough. I have no idea of the cost as prices are not listed on the dessert menu, a practice I dislike. I also didn't like the fact that I asked for a fork as I don't like eating cake or pie with a spoon & was told I couldn't have one as they were all needed. Our friends enjoyed their peanut butter pie & coconut cake. Our server was adequate. We had to chase her down to ask for water, lemon, etc. I understand she was very busy but a smile would have been nice. I do appreciate the fact that we were not rushed out, and we were allowed plenty of time to catch up with our friends. Also, the hostess was gracious enough to take a photo of our group as we were leaving the restaurant. This restaurant used to be the Country Inn on Market Street in Warren. They have a decent sized parking lot, although it seemed barely sufficient for the amount of volume they do. I would rate this restaurant a 3.5 if I had that option. Will I return? Probably not.

Typically, I find myself splitting chicken pad Thai and hot basil fried rice with my mother, but today was one of my eclectic dining sessions. No visit is complete without a Siam roll app. Crispy and flaky on their own, the experience is complete only when paired with a small cup of tangy goodness. Similar things can be said about the golden barbecue chicken I ordered. The poultry itself is defined by a combination of crisp texture, thoroughly-cooked interior, and smoky delight. Once the sweet-and-sour sauce is applied, though, that is where the dish finds its niche. Lather it on the bird and the veggies, then prepare for paradise as the sweet sensation works its way to win your affections. The staff always do a superb job of setting guests up for a worthwhile experience. There's never a day when our day is rife with miscommunication and ignorance, just a seamless valley of goodwill and tenderness. Tellingly, I have seen this restaurant stand in the same location since the early-mid 2000s, so I'm likely not alone in giving this diner a chef's pedigree.
