This review has no bearing on the service at this location. That part was actually very good. The food, and drinks, were so disappointing. The positives - the food was warm, the chicken was juicy. The negatives - the chicken was essentially flavorless. Ironically they have a spice rack display up in the middle of the store. It would seem that they keep all the seasonings that would lend flavor to the chicken on display instead of cooking with it. This was a last chance for Popeye's overall, as the last 2 times we'd been at 2 different locations were also very sub-standard. Another very well known Fried Chicken place is in a different universe, and they're the same price. We've visited twice. The first time we had one of the best chicken sandwiches we've ever had. It was habanero chicken of some sort. Next visit the menu changed and we had a different spicy chicken and it was good but not as great as the first one. We had popcorn shrimp each time and it was very good. My wife and I stopped off at this Popeyes one afternoon, and before we did, I checked google to find out if it was open. That's when I saw the two star rating. There was plenty of parking, the restaurant was clean and inviting, the fine gentleman at the counter looked to be genuinely happy to be at work and worked through the ordering process in such a way that I was sure I had ordered exactly what I wanted! Our food came out hot and well prepared almost instantly! (Not exaggerating, wife went to use the spotless restroom and the food had already been out a few minutes before she was done.) Nice job! I can see how there could be a miscommunication there but it should have been a non issue being it is a Bogo. They told us we had to specifically order the Bogo. I pull ahead since the line was moving, and I heard the speaker working behind me. Fed up with the lack of service, I went in to explain myself. They apologized for the inconvenience and offered me a free pie. Then when I got my order 15 minutes later, they forgot to include the pie. It's just mistakes piled on top of mistakes, wasting time for most people involved. I took one bite and it was the most bland and flavorless chicken I have ever had. Popeyes usually has the most seasoned and flavorful. I went to the counter to ask for some seasoning and told her how bland it was. She gave me some Cajun Sparkles and told me that their regular was very bland. This was news to me. I looked up on their website and it said that the regular chicken was supposed to be seasoned with their Louisiana seasoning blend. I feel ripped off. I made a big order so I would have left overs. When we got to the window, they told us they only had enough classic for one meal. No problem, I will have spicy. We get home and end up with one meal classic with mac and cheese. They gave us two breasts. The other one wad spicy and dark, but also with mac and cheese, not potatoes. And we paid over $30 for two wrong orders. I have found this place to be hit and miss. On one visit the chicken, all the sides I order, and the service are excellent. Unfortunately consistency is lacking. I have not been back for a good while so I hope if and when I return I do not experience disrespectful employees behind the counter. When they are present it is almost certain their poor work attitude extends beyond the food preparation. They can be the best when they recognize the importance of their positions. read more

Absolutely awful. Tried to take my bus full of athletes here as it said it was open until 10. Their dining room was closed at 8:30 when we arrived. Nobody in the drive through so asked if we could order through the drive through as I had a bus full of kids. Very rude worker responded no. I asked if we could come inside as they have advertised they don't close until 10. Again- rudely no. Very unimpressed. We are regular customers of the Post Falls Popeyes location, and make the weekly drive all the way from Spokane, WA for the past nearly year now!! But in addition to the awesome food, there is one" employee working the night shift each time we go to eat there, and she is one of the most friendly and accommodating employees we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with across the board! Mimi is a fantastic lady who has the greatest personality and she is always willing to go the extra mile for the customers. So much so that we make sure she gets a $10 tip from us each visit we make there. Yes, that's right folks......the employees at the Post Falls Popeyes are allowed to accept any tips that customers feel they deserve!! Might want to keep that in mind when going there.
