This is a convenient stop along North Division if you have a hankering for a burger. There is a competitor a couple doors down but the quality and cleanliness is far better here. The burgers are tasty, and you can tell someone in back puts care into putting them together. The fries, tots, and Halibut are also always spot on as well. The one thing I like here is that it is always clean. On my last visit there was someone in the dining area for almost the entire time keeping things tidy and clean. Speaking of staff they are always friendly as well. One star off because you do pay a premium price for burgers here in comparison to other burger joints. read more

Great, fast, and friendly service. Ordered the buddy meal which has two burgers you choose out of five or so options, tub of fries, and two drinks. Food was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. I noticed they now offer grilled mushrooms, onions, and jalapeños for free on any burger. So I got a cheeseburger with grilled onions and jalapeños just for fun and it was amazing. read more

Ordered a four piece chicken strip meal and two piece halibut. The halibut was crunchy. The chicken strips were so small it was more like a 2 piece chicken strip meal which definitely did not fill up my teenage son. The worst part, the meal was almost $30. This Zips had normally been our spot when we need something fast and didn7 want McDonald's. However, this location's quality of food and service have rapidly declined over the last few months. Went in tonight for a double burger, tater tots and a drink. The burger was a bit heavy on ketchup and mustard (for me, anything but the lightest dab of mustard is too much.) The pickles were softer than I expected. They didn't taste bad; I just wasn't used to the texture. Almost, spongy? The bun was thick and the patties didn't really extend to the edge. To get the meat/bread proportion right, I might have ordered a triple. The tater tots were good, the oil fresh. I ordered fry sauce and it was good _even though I was dipping tater tots in it, not fries_. The "house sauce" has barbecue sauce in it. If that's your thing, go for it. I wasn't a fan. I got an Orange Crush and didn't fill it up all the way because I didn't want too much sugar before bed. But now I'm drinking eggnog?! The service was good, not what I would call friendly. I didn't love the loud noise the pager made and I was surprised they gave me one. It's a small space. Maybe during the day they have trouble with people popping into La-Z-Boy to go furniture shopping while they're waiting for their Zip's order. read more

Whenever I need a burger in the Pacific Northwest, I search for a Zip's first. With a rare exceptions, every franchise has efficient and friendly staff and quality food. This location is right up there with the franchise standards. Extra bonus, this location carries Wild Cherry Pepsi, which not all of them do. In addition to great burgers and fries, Zip's has really good fish and chips. One of the biggest reasons their fish is so good is they use real cod and halibut instead of that fast food unknown fish stuff that many places use. Also, they have one of my favorite indulgence sides, deep fried mushrooms. So, if you need a burger, you need to find you a Zip's. read more

Best freakin' banana shake I've ever had in my forty years of life. It tasted like the most perfect banana cream pie. You even get chunks of fruit..... I also had the halibut fish and chips. Wow!!!!! Not greasy at all. Seasoned well. And was still crispy even after a long drive home to deer park. To be honest I didn't know what to expect when a fast food spot says they have halibut. A solid Zips restaurant! I eat here when I'm up in the north end visiting friends (which I was just this week!) . . . . . . Cod and chips, my go-to order. My boyfriend is from Spokane and loves this place. We love fast food places like this for road trip food. We got their bucket of fries which i thought was cool. They also offer onion rings and tots. I was surprised and super happy they had a garden burger on the menu. In the future I'll ask to sub fry sauce instead of their 1000 island on the burger. Their milkshakes are also really good and they have sundaes and ice cream cones too. Awesome that their open 24/7 and I thought the staff was very friendly. read more

Clean bathrooms, quick service with a smile, consistent good food and they offer free grilled mushrooms or onions. Better than most. My usual choice for good and fast on the north side:). There's snow outside, so it was too cold for either of us to want to grill tonight, but we were still craving burgers. Zip's is our fave burger joint here, but we'd actually never been to the one closest to our house since drive-thru is usually something we resort to when travelling. Our friend said it was good so we decided to give it a try. I ordered one of the specials, a mushroom swiss burger - no onions or mayonnaise. My husband decided to give the Maui Joe a try. We splurged & got a large peanut butter hot fudge milkshake to share. Our total came to just under $11. After we paid, the crew got to work promptly on our order. I then decided I needed some water to wash that all down. Another cashier was happy to provide, & by the time the water was ready, so was the rest of our order. Great quick service! I am incredibly disappointed in this burger chain. Coming from Portland, I had hopes that it was similar in aspect to that of Burgerville. My hopes were reinforced by the many positive reviews. In contrary, I could have gotten better service from a McDonald's. I tried three different locations, three different times, three different items, and have been utterly disappointed. To start, the menu prices, while already high for the quality of food (hmm...), are completely inaccurate. Where I thought I'd be spending $10 easily doubles because of hidden costs - and each time, they didn't want to give me the total right away until AFTER I had paid, in which they're only giving me the grand total BEFORE I had them make any corrections. Each and every time, I have had to go over my order multiple times to find something still left out. First visit, regular hamburger. That was the driest hamburger I have ever eaten. I could probably have tossed it like a frisbee. Second visit (this visit), their "fishwich," which again had no sauce or anything. In this instance, we actually asked for additional sauce, in which case the cashier was absolutely rude and catty, as if I'm asking her to bend over backwards. It was so bland, I coukd barely choke it down. Cold, saltless fries. Third visit, their, "wrangler." The flavor was there, and for once I felt like I had a complete sandwich I could enjoy, nevermind the reasonably soggy bun. But in this instance, my fries were solid cold, as if they pulled then out of a fridge, which upset me quite a bit since I had just talked to the cashier about the sandwhich price ($4.50 alone, $8.00 combo? For cold fries?? WTF?!) While waiting, found myself in a pretty depth conversation with another patron when the cashier yelled my name, indicating my order was ready. As I was close to the counter, looked and made eye contact with her, gave her a thumbs up as if I heard her. No, she SCREAMS my name, so I run over to grab it. Instead of the take-out I ordered, she put me as dine-in. Each place the establishment looks horrible on the outside (but seems fitting with the city, hey-oh...), and the inside is just as run down. The employees are absolutely rude and/or careless and/or inconsiderate and/or have zero customer service skills. I was also told by a friend after I turned down his offer of Zips coupons that their ingredients are cooked fresh. I may have broken a rib or three from how hard I was laughing at him. Three attempts, each for a mediocre entree and cold fries, from an equally cold representative. Save yourself the time, go to McDonald's. read more

We go to all the Zips....because we are Spokanites and Spokanites love Zips! My husband always gets a burger. I switch back and forth between burgers and fish& chips. I have always thought the fish (cod or halibut) is some of the best in town. I was a bit disappointed that the cod pieces have gotten to be quite small! It's still good....but small! I love that they offer tater tots! Also, they just remodeled this location not that long ago...but the seats are already ripped and in disrepair. This location is near our home so it is the one we go to most often and eat both inside or drive thru...but a bit disappointed with whats happening. Worst customer service I've ever experienced anywhere. With my children and was not greeted or smiled- not once. The Lobby was disgusting nobody cared to help us by cleaning one table so we could sit down. Nobody helped us. Every single table was dirty and garbage on the floor. So we stood waiting and nobody came out. My food came and still tables weren't cleaned off. Again no help- no service. This place is a disgrace to all other Zips franchises. If you're looking for a fun family friendly place to take your family to- this isn't it. Do not come here and we won't be back. You'd get better service at used tire store. And this is the food industry. Not sure if these employees realized they work in the customer service industry. When you come to a business you'd want to be treated with respect and feel welcomed. Zips on the South Hill is a must stop for burgers in Spokane. Everything is made when you order it, so it's fresh and doesn't sit under a heat lamp unlike other fast food chains. While the menu at this location is on the smaller side, the food is amazing. read more

We came through this Zip's, we go to Zip's often as a family, and we ordered a few burgers. We got all expect one of our burgers so we went back through to get our burger that we paid for. Once we got to the window I showed them our receipt then showed them that we clearly are missing one. The guy then rung up another burger and made us pay for it. I told him once again that we had already paid for it and he refused to just give us the burger that we had already paid for. So we ended up having to give them an extra $5.
