The service at this location is poor. I placed an order online and went to pick up when I arrived they hadn't started my order so I had to wait an additional 30 minutes. In my opinion, Popeyes makes the best chain fried chicken. KFC uses a chicken injection that has an off herbal and onion taste. Popeyes marinade tastes cleaner. The biscuits are good (although their honey is not 100% real honey) the mashed potatoes are made from dried potato flakes but not too bad and topped with a decent gravy. The sweet tea is delicious. Decent chicken wings are hard to come by, which is why I happily award Popeye's 4 lovely stars. In full disclosure, I got chicken tenders, and they were amazing - even without sauce (more on that later). When my husband and I walked into Popeye's, we had one mission. Stuff our face holes with cheap grub. If the cheap grub happened to be hot and satisfying, all the better. When we walked in, we were greeted by two Popeye employees who could not have been friendlier. Just big smiles and happy to help. They not only recommended deals/specials they were currently offering (of which there were many), but, when I was flummoxed by the overwhelming amount of selections, they even helped narrow down the most economical edible arrangements. (Not to be confused with Edible Arrangements, which is another thing entirely.) The service was so top notch, and the wafts of grub so good, we I almost forgot we were getting fast food. The staff was truly accommodating, and elevated the whole experience. Missing Star: The interiors of Popeye's could use a zhuzh. As is, the interiors don't give the impression they really want you to stay. A bit cold, aesthetically speaking. And, more sadly, we were missing one set of sauces from our bag when we got home.
