Popeyes is my guilty pleasure, which is why I, in an unbiased mind can't give it a 5 stars. It is exactly what you expect from a fast food location. The food is consistent, and if you have complaints you can bring it up to the employees. If they aren't helpful reach out to Popeyes through the app. Their customer service has always been helpful! Especially with the app giving all the good discounts. Paid 3$ for a 23$ meal, because they had a 20$ discount! They have so many great discounts on the app!! The location is great with plenty of parking and near various other stores (I.e., King Kullen and pet supplies). It is clean and usually not full or loud, except during lunch and 3-4 pm when the local schools get out. read more

So when ordering my food I asked for the 2 sides to be mash potatoes and cold slaw. The cashier informs me they have no cold slaw. We went to Popeyes, excited to have some food and our service was horrible. We ordered chick tenders, French fries and gum gum lemonade and the chopper cupcake. After a waiting a long time (10 minutes) they told us they didn't have chicken tenders. It was so disappointing with how long it took them to tell us and they offered no compensation. This is the second time I've had a bad experience at this Popeyes because of the rude attitude from the staff. I walked in and stood there for a while with no acknowledgment at all. When I finally asked about my order, I could clearly see it sitting on the counter ready to go. The employee told me to "hold on," then finished another customer's order and even started on a new one before handing me mine. My food was just sitting there the whole time. It's really disappointing to deal with that kind of attitude twice now. A simple acknowledgment or handing me my order would've made a big difference. read more

I wish I can give this location zero stars. The one star was for the employees who were always nice to me but this location is so disgusting I'm surprised that it's not closed yet. The fryers are disgusting alongside every inch of this place. The area where they pack the food is so dirty. I will never ever go back to this place. They do not have good customer service. They got my order wrong twice after I repeat to them that I do not want chicken breast . Also, they charge for napkins if you need extra. Dear Popeyes, Here is the updated review that you deserve! I had a really nice experience here today. Service was fantastic. I don't think i've had such a pleasant fast food experience in a long time. The line was long, however, service was good. The lady who took my order smiled at me a few times while I was on the line. She was really friendly too. She had a thick accent, but she did a really nice job. While another person was getting me change, she triple checked my order to make sure I got the fries that I ordered. There's a $3.99 deal right now for 3 pieces of chicken or chicken tenders with a biscuit. I wish there was a sides deal. I love the Popeyes sides and its so hard to just choose one or two. Their fries are always perfectly seasoned. Today there were fried perfectly crispy. The cole slaw was the best i've ever had from any Popeyes. Super crunchy and not old. The mac and cheese was average, but i've been craving it for a long time. The best part of today's experience was the music. They were playing classic jazz music and it brought me back to the amazing jazz music that was played in the streets of NOLA when I went. I miss it so much! The line here never dies down. I suppose its because it has such good service and high quality food compared to the other Popeyes in the area. There are other locations in Hempstead, Roslyn, and Baldwin as far as I know. This location has lots of seats. None of the napkins or sauces are out even though there are containers for them near the trash bins. Lines: out the door. Staff: One cashier, one cook, one other staff member/ person just walking around. I'm sure Popeyes can afford more staff. Just a suggestion. Maybe on the weekends??? Please. Service: (Despite this young cashier appearing slightly overwhelmed all because she was trying to be quick), her attitude was a great representation of awesome customer service! She took her time with each customer. I know she was trying to be quick but never did you feel hurried. She couldn't remember the name of the fish they were serving and actually got our attention even after we had left the counter just to give us this information. Going beyond. Her voice alone is so pleasant and soothing. She was born for careers in the customer service industry. I'm sorry I didnt get her name but I didn't want to stay too long while I placed my order. She gets three stars while the food with one makes up my rating. The food tasted great! I had a rice and red bean with green beans big box comb which only cost $6.00! I asked them to hold the heavy gravy. My friend got a fish and chips combo. What I like is though fast food, it tasted deliciously homemade! In fact right up there with some of the who's who in food/ privately owned restaurants. I've had the chicken, shrimp and fries before and didn't enjoy it and totally wrote them off. I ordered a cajun turkey on Nov, 7, 2024 for pick up between Nov. 17-Nov. 22, 2024. I went to pick up on Nov. 20 and was told by manager that a black man with a beard picked up MY turkey on Nov. 15, 2024. I asked if he provided ID and the manager said no, he had my receipt and order number on his phone. I requested a refund or another turkey, as I didn't authorize anyone to pick up my order, and was refused. I asked them how to go about getting my money back and they gave me a name and number of the supposed owner, but he didn't answer my calls or return my calls. I showed them my ID, my receipt with the order number on it and also my Personal Popeye's App that showed my last order transaction, which showed I ordered on Nov. 7 @ 6:04 p.m. They were very dismissive and unbothered about my $65.16. I felt as if they thought I was trying to scam them to get a turkey. But, I feel like they SCAMMED ME or someone made a mistake, but your customers should not suffer because of a mistake that they CLEARLY made. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes Got the new chicken sandwich. One of each. It was delicious despite having No Pickles or Sauce at all!! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the bread was fresh. We saw an employee leave and come back with a bag filled with jars of mayo from nearby King Kullen. But the mayo never made it to my sandwich, and I guess they forgot to buy pickles. LOL Also tried the spicy sandwich which was not spicy at all. Same deal No pickles and not a drop of sauce. Been coming here for several years as this is the closest Fried Chicken place around me. Noticed that over time, the counter service quality is going down-hill. The food quality remains pretty consistent, but the people working the registers act as if you're doing "them" a favor... or putting them at an inconvenience when you place your order. The wait for food is ridiculous. You ask for dark meat and they give you white meat. This has happened twice already. I waited 15 minutes for dark meat, I waited for no reason. There is always a long line at this location. Always understaffed, one cashier and they take their sweet time. Be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes just to order your food. They also be stingy with sauces. read more
