I LOVE THIS PLACE! Love their pastries especially the mango and guava puffs! Their donuts are good too, but I like the puff better. As for food, the turkey avocado sandwich is the only one that I've tried so far, so I got nothing else to compare it with. But it is still so gooood! One thing to note though...the sandwich bread do come in a weird shape so it is a bit hard to take a bit from. For drinks, do they make awesome iced mocha. It is perfect amount of sweetness for me! Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you wanna have a quick lunch with coffee and dessert afterwards. read more

I've heard a nice morning stop opened up about a year and a half ago but never had the chance to check it out until recently. It's located in a random area next to Kum Yo's Okazuya around many automotive places on East Kawili Street. The location is relatively big with a parking lot shared by the other eatery. I got their breakfast popover sandwich because it tasted sooo good when I sampled some from a friend. Their popover was their sandwich base topped with their special sauce with potatoes on one side and scrambled eggs with Portuguese sausage, bell peppers, tomatoes on the other side. Yum! The sauce is actually to die for. I should have asked for extra. I also got their mango puff. DELICIOUS! I should have gotten more but by the time I was waiting for the sandwiches, all the puffs were gone. My friend got their ABC sandwich which was avocado, bacon, chicken, cheese with lettuce and sprouts. I didn't try it but smelled and looked soooo good. She also got the maple bacon donut and snickerdoodle. Said she loved them both too! The only downside I feel is that after letting our sandwiches sit out a bit (takeout), the popover started feeling a bit stale as I ate mine? Don't know if that's just how it is originally. Definitely will be back for their donuts and other pastries (and probably sandwiches). It's a quick place to grab some delicious food and pastries with coffee before starting the day! P.S. Barbara was so nice! We talked for a bit while my sandwich was being made, got half dozen donuts and 2 of each puff pastry. Only had the Guava one so far, it was just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelmed (for me anyway). Just moved back from Hilo recently and was excited to try this spot. Did not disappoint. Their sandwich was amazing! They ran out of Roasted Veggie (sandwich) so I got a turkey avocado minus the turkey. The bread was warmed, maybe even lightly toasted and SO soft. It was delicious! They had HUGE cookies... I mean like whatever you're thinking then make it bigger! Hahah I didn't get any. I already had enough food They had some coffee cake-like stuff also. Then you add super fluffy eggs, breakfast potatoes, spices, an incredible sauce green onions red onions and bell pepper. Then don't forget to ask to add bacon. It all comes together wonderfully you'll see. Sounds like a heavy meal but it's not. Very satisfying. While you're there don't forget to grab a cup of coffee and some baked goods. Seemed like a limited selection when I came at 9am so perhaps all the good ones were taken by then but I got three donuts (oreos, glazed, and matcha) plus a triple coffee scone and a caramel iced latte. The winners, in my opinion, were the scone and the coffee. The scone definitely had the coffee flavor and was crumbly enough but not dry and very tasty with nuts throughout. The donuts were a bit of a disappointment and, while they were light, lacked something to make them less dry and bland. The Oreos one had more of a wet topping so that was the only one I could finish of the three. read more

Was in Hilo for work and spotted this place on my way to a meeting. Made a mental note to look it up and try it for breakfast the next day. Stopped in the next morning around 8 am, and browsed their wide array of baked yummies! Another customer walked in at the same time and he struck up a conversation. It was his second time there, so it was encouraging to me that they have repeat customers. I picked out a coffee and mac nut scone and a couple of mango pastry puffs to go with a hot coffee, and asked the cashier how long they've been open. Only 6 months so far! The scone had a nice coffee flavoring throughout and the crunch from the mac nuts helped to give some variety in texture. The mango puffs were a winner! Shared them with my boyfriend and we both liked the light, fluffy outside and the not-too-sweet middle. Next time I'm in Hilo, I plan to go back and try something else! read more

Really enjoyed the breakfast popover sandwich - with potatoes, sausage, veggies, eggs, sauce enclosed in a fluffy, airy popover, these are what my breakfast dreams are made of. The espresso scone was incredible as well while not being too sweet or buttery, pairing great with coffee. I found the puffs to be a little on the sweet side but the pastry itself was fluffy and yummy. Coffee was mediocre and a little too overpowered with milk. Good food/Bad coffee This place has great food (popover Reuben is ono as they come) but their coffee is always terrible. Order a $4 cup of drip brew and it's a guaranteed to be cold. Wanted to try and support local, came across this place and it's fairly new. They are located right across of Jeep dodge car lot with ample amount of parking spaces. You can dine in or take out. They just opened a month ago and let me tell you, they have an awesome breakfast sandwich which is cook to order. It's Very tasty and filling. Love the presentation. I stopped in at 7:15am to get coffee and some baked goodies. The house drip coffee is good, no bitterness. Baked goods: guava puff, popover with lilikoi butter and lilikoi coconut donut. I was hoping that arriving just an hour after opening that I might get some really fresh baked goods, but I think all were made the day before. Nothing I got was even remotely warm like it was just made. So, while the flavors were great, it would have been 5 star if it had been fresher. Both ladies working were super nice and friendly, great customer service. The donut's lilikoi and coconut flavors were wonderful, not too much icing so the sweet didn't overpower the flavors. But the donut itself was pretty dry and stiff, I assume because it was close to day old. The guava puff was nice, not a real strong guava flavor, but the puff pastry was enjoyable. The popover was good, it had the eggy bread texture in the middle without being underdone or gooey. I definitely want to try one of the popover sandwiches. The lilikoi butter was awesome. I will definitely go here again to try some of their other food menu options, just wish it had been fresher. read more

Ordered the breakfast popover without meat (you have 2 meat choices just didn't feel like having meat this AM) and no onion or peppers. Big popover which was delicious on its own however popover was split in half and one side was filled with scrambled eggs and the other with fried potatoes and tomatoes with a mustard/Mayo type sauce. Also ordered a large latte. The meal was delish and I could barely finish it. The pastries in the display case looked good maple bacon donut anyone? Cookies were the size of a small paper plate.
