There are times in life when you just have to call a "guy"! It was 9:15pm on a Thursday and I put the garage door down went back inside and heard the spring give way! Thank the Lord it was down and no one was hurt. My very handy hubby tried with all his might to get that door up. Took the other spring off, loosened the pulleys and nothing! It was so heavy! So...30 minutes into this I turn to Yelp! I found Pop's Garage Door, had great reviews and said they were open 24 hours...do people really mean that? Theses days? Tommy picked up my call, was super nice and understanding. We talked about having a tech come out at 11pm that night. I thought that's not going to be cheap! We talked about a morning appointment but then we couldn't figure out how to make that happen with our schedule and theirs. Tommy asked if he could call me back after he talked with his tech. He did what he said and was back with me in less than 5 mins! We actually settled for a visit that night! Willie, the tech, is a master! He was great with my dogs...he had to come through the house. My hubby wanted to watch the process and he walked him through it! He made every effort to make this visit at 11pm seem like it was in the middle of the day. Let my fingers do the walking on the internet when I found I needed my garage door fixed. Pops Garage Doors came with 5 star rating. Pops was very responsive, calling to make the appointment. And following up to update the technicians arrival. Received a call from Daniel, the technician, to say he was in route and would be there within 10 minutes. Daniel arrived wearing a face mask, greeted me, listened to my explanation of what happened and proceeded to investigate what would be needed to make the repairs. Daniel was very courteous and professional. While making his repairs he found that the springs showed their age and that one of the springs may be in jeopardy of breaking. Given the home was built in 1989 and more than likely original to the home, I authorized Daniel to replace the springs. I also inquired if he might have a new bottom rubber seal for the door, as the old was was ripped and tattered. He offered a choice of regular or heavy duty. I opted the heavy duty door gasket. Daniel made all the repairs, replaced the parts and once all the adjustments had been made, he reattached the auto garage door opener to operate the door several times to check it's operation. Having lived in the home nearly 3 years, I can truly say the garage door hadn't operate that smoothly and quietly since I moved in. I had one of the gentleman from this company come and replace the damage support struts for my garage door which was builders quality and which unfortunately decided to destroyed self one poor day after my son tried to use it to come into our garage. The company showed up and they were extremely responsive and hard-working and did a great job fixing my door what I consider to be a very reasonable and competitive price. I am just putting this review and because I just had a minor problem with my door on the mouse after I had it repaired and I called his company late Thursday evening and they had a man at my house by lunchtime Friday who did the minor repairs that need to be done with a great attitude and even though I don't think that the part of the door did you fix was covered in the warranty did a wonderful job I had the decency not to even charge me for the repair since it was just a small spray that need to be replaced. I would have no reservations using this company in the future to replace the entire door, and I would have no reservations and recommending this company to neighbors or friends due to my wonderful experience with their personnel. They are highly recommended and extremely hard and diligent worker and a good value for your money not to mention the fact that they stand behind the work that I've done in the past. Punctual and fast. On a Sunday evening my garage door decided to ruin my night. It came off of the track because of a badly placed rowing machine (upright for storage, and it was my fault). Of course I used every expletive known to man. Nonetheless, I called around to a few places and got nowhere. The guys at Pop's answered at 7:30am with a very comforting we'll be there ASAP. 4-5 hours was projected and that's when they came. I see from a text notification that a gentlemen named Rotem was my tech. He was in and out like a young virgin. In 20 minutes, he put my garage back on track and managed to adjust all the pulleys, as well as the spring. He quoted me at $320 for the job. I thought that was a little high, but I've never had to call a garage repairman either. After looking online to see if that was a good price, I found it was about average. So, glad to say I am pleased with their service. Apparently the only other deal that's as good as $320 for 20 minutes is a small Korean lady at the "Happy Endings" massage parlor. read more

Pop's Garage Doors is the best! My garage door broke and after calling them, Netanel and Mike came out the next day to look at it. They said they could fix it, but since the door was 27 years old, I decided to get a new door. The price was reasonable, and Mike came out the next day to install it. Now that the weather is 25° outside, I'm so glad I got it done! There was a mixup with the windows not being installed, but after looking at it without the windows, I decided I liked it better so it worked out for the best. I came home from work around 5 p.m. to find my garage door springs broken. The garage door was too heavy to lift so my vehicle was stuck unless I could get someone to liberate it. Our garage door stopped working with a broken cable. We live in downtown Baltimore, and needed this fixed ASAP because there isn't much street parking available where we live. Shiran came out today to correct a problem where my garage door would not properly open or close due to a loose track. The repair turned out to be simple and Pop's quoted an extremely fair price to perform it.
