Great place to grab a slice! I came here shortly after they opened on a weekday. They had a great selection of slices. I went with a cheese and a Buffalo Chicken. Both were good! They heated them up for me and they came out nice and hot. The pizza had a nice texture to it; a good mix of chew and crunch. The taste and both were good. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a stop for a few slices! I need to come back and try some of the other varieties they have. read more

Anthony's is a small pizzeria and deli in Cheshire. There is some seating, but not enough for you to count on being able to eat there. Best to think of Anthony's as primarily take out. They have pizza, sandwiches and salads for sure. I didn't see a full menu. Their pizza is available in slices, and the selection looks pretty good. I ordered a Supreme Slice and a Steak Fajita grinder. The pizza crust was a touch softer than I was expecting, but the crust, sauce, cheese and toppings were tasty. The grinder bread was fresh. My wife and I arrived irritated and hungry after a 7 hour drive with so much traffic, we were looking for a place to sit down and eat, though there are two small tables inside this isn't the place for that. They stayed busy with calls and customers coming in and now after having a couple slices I know why. I'm not even sure what slices I picked, I both had bacon on them and one was a white pizza slice, and though I was worried because it was nearly 8 pm at night and who knows how long they had been sitting on display I wasn't in the mood to go somewhere else. Fast forward to my wife and I getting to our hotel and opening up the box and taking a bite, I smiled, it was one of the best bites of pizza I've ever had from NY to Italy to Germany to all over the US. My wife had one of their chicken sandwiches which was delicious too. Anthony's Pizza and Deli is a take out only restaurant. They are usually very busy so call ahead. Their thin crust pizzas are absolutely delicious. They have a good selection of pizza that you can also buy by the slice. We have also tried their large generous portion subs. Their homemade sub rolls are the best. Hard to believe it was over 4 years ago that I was the first to review Anthony's and had a Review of the Day for it. I've been a regular here since then and the community is lucky to have Ermel and family here in town. They continue to rock it with some of the best pizza around and have added ready to go meals, salads and desserts over the recent past. I got the chocolate chip cookies yesterday for the first time (along with my usual eggplant parm sub) and they are also some of the best around! Not easy to find a solid cookie but they have them in oatmeal and peanut butter cup, too. We have been ordering from here about once a week for a couple of years and will never order again after our last experience. One of the things we order is a pizza with no cheese and one topping. It is silly to be charged for a vegetable topping when we aren't getting cheese, so we started asking to not be charged for the topping. Until tonight, they honored that request. Tonight, we ordered a pizza with no cheese, half onion, half broccoli. They insisted on not only charging us for the topping but on charging for two toppings even though each topping was only on half the pizza. The manager argued that we should be charged for two toppings because it's "more work." Ah, yes, so much work to grab a different topping for half the pizza. Hope the loss of business was worth it to them for $3.50. We will never be back. Awful business. read more

So the food here is really good. We ordered the meatball parmigiana and eggplant parmigiana subs and a pizza. The subs were really good. Bread was nice and fresh and the sub was made right before we got it so it was nice and fresh. This was the first time we ordered here on a Friday night. I don't think I'd order on a Friday again. Pizza definitely sat out of the oven for a good 10-15 minutes I would say because it was only somewhat warm when I got home. Usually the box is really hot when you pick up a pizza it this was definitely not the case here tonight. My other issue this evening was the young girl that helped me out this evening. When I got there she got my name and went to go check. She told me I was early in a not so friendly way. I knew I was early. Unfortunately when you order online you don't get an estimate as to how long it'll take until about 5 minutes after the order is placed. I was about 10 minutes early out of the 1 hour and 20 minute estimate I got and I knew it, but I wanted to make sure that maybe the order wasn't done early and was just sitting. When my order was finally ready, which was the time they said, the same girl put the pizza down on the counter and said your order was ready and walked away! No "thank you", no "have good evening." Good customer service goes a long way and can sometimes make or break a small business. I hope this girl isn't like this to everyone she deals with here. read more

Had an unfortunate experience at this pizza place ordered a pie went to pick it up and was given the wrong pizza. Silly me didn't check the pie I just assumed they gave me the right pie. Found out once I got home I had a sausage and mushroom pizza, when I ordered meatball and mashed potato. Upon returning and receiving the correct pie and returning the wrong one, I asked for some free cookies as Compensation. A little reluctant they granted me the cookies. I returned home to eat the pie, which i enjoyed honestly. But I found a piece of chicken on my meatball and mashed potato pizza. This upsets me because I don't eat pork and I believe they don't do a great job of avoiding cross contamination. read more

We really like Anthony's, we usually eat lunch here once a week and have for several months now. Great handheld sandwiches, the cookies are really awesome and fresh, and when they have it the potato salad is amazing. My favorites are the italian cold cut combo on a hard roll and a braised rib sandwich. You do need to make sure your timing is right. While you can order for an early lunch, many times they will not have fresh bread ready at 11:30, it won't be finished until noon. We have ordered sandwiches on a hard roll via the app multiple times and either a) get a stale roll from yesterday or b) another type of break "for free". This is the best pizza I have had in a long while. Yesterday was our first time ordering my family and I got the "fig it" and your traditional cheese. The fig it is the best combination of flavors, with the perfect amount of ingredients. Crust is not too thin but not to thick and my biggest pet peeve is a burnt slice of pizza but to my surprise it was cooked perfectly! The sauce on the cheese had great flavor. The staff was friendly and welcoming and if I may add my father is the BIGGEST pizza critic out there and he LOVED IT. he enjoyed it so much he said he was so full but needed to eat one more slice. Well, the salads are beautifully presented in a round clear bowl, a flower on every one! The dressings are flavorful and light, never oily. Meals to go heat up as you just ordered and picked up fresh! Shop made bread-the aroma is fresh yeast, salt and the texture is crusty on the outside-you can tap it with a butter knife-wonderful sound. The inside is full of air pockets and chewy. So good. Undoubtedly this is by far the uncontested best pizza spot in Cheshire and in my personal opinion the best restaurant in Cheshire. I'll begin by saying I have only ever ordered this spot from a delivery app but I can only imagine the quality of the food is better in the restaurant and it always arrived hot and tasty. To begin, the pizza at this place is just straight up enjoyable. It is a thin crust with a light crispy and the cheese, sauce, crust and whatever toppings you choose will be of great quality and freshness. Probably most similar to a New York style pizza as it is not quite as crackery thin and crispy as a New Haven style would be, not that this is a bad thing. There is a nice flop to the pizza and it keeps a crisp bottom. Ive also enjoyed the wings as a side. To put it simply its better than many wing focused restaurants. The wings are huge and full of meat. Juicy chicken and crisp batter it truly represents what a good wing should be. The flavor options for delivery were buffalo and a citrus chipotle BBQ. Both were excellent Now the last item i've had the pleasure in having and in my opinion the best item so far. The Fettuccine Alfredo. I ordered this with chicken and the chicken arrived as a fried breaded chicken cutlet. Almost like a tonkatsu and it was excellent but focusing on the pasta it is impossible to state how good I found it. First off the sauce tastes classic and rich. The alfredo sauce tasted about as close to authentic as I think is possible to get in Cheshire. The pasta was clearly fresh and had a wonderful texture and bite to them. The other additions such as the sun dried tomatoes were small bombs of flavor that gave the whole dish a nice contrast with a little acidity. I highly suggest you get this item, even without an additional protein the pasta itself is ridiculously enjoyable. To finish, this restaurant is thoroughly impressive with every dish I have tried with not a single disappointment. It is one of the few restaurants in this area that I feel excited to try more of the menu. I highly suggest this restaurant and I thank the owners of this establishment for many wonderful meals I hope I have the pleasure in coming to this restaurant in person to enjoy the food fresh out of the kitchen. read more

Ordered via phone for pickup and was told 30 mins. No problem at all for early on a Friday evening. Arrived on time and waited for 10 mins before being told "10 more mins" . Again, it's a Friday night...slightly annoying but no biggie. Left there 25 mins after arriving. We ordered a Large cheese pizza, Mr. Potato extreme strings, and the Arancini. When we got home the pizza was cold. Not lukewarm, not slightly warm....cold. The Mr. Potato extreme strings were anything but extreme. Maybe extremely gross, that fits the bill. They were frozen steak fries out of a bag, a pinch of shredded cheese, and literally 5 bits of bacon. The Arancini were mediocre at best and weren't as described on the menu. The best part of the entire meal was the pesto dipping sauce. This was our first and absolutely last time going to Anthony's. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else for a meal in Cheshire. read more

OMG! We finally tried this Deli out and have returned for more. What a gem! The owner and staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is AWESOME. The pizza is superb and the deli sandwiches are delicious and creative. They bake their own breads and rolls. The hard rolls aren't your traditional hard rolls. They're much better and don't get soggy if your sandwich has sauce. Speaking of sauce, I had the Bobcat sandwich yesterday and was blown away. Tender breaded chicken with ziti and vodka sauce. Yep, not a combo that I've seen before, but oh so delicious! I'll definitely order that one again. There are a lot of great sandwich items at Anthony's, so my wife and I will visit weekly for sure.
