My husband and I visited Porsche North Scottsdale to look at a Porsche 911, and our experience with Valerie Burks was extremely disappointing. From the moment we walked in, Valerie's attitude toward us felt cold and unwelcoming. We were well dressed, well groomed, and came in genuinely interested in purchasing a vehicle. Instead of greeting us warmly or trying to earn our business, she looked at us with what felt like annoyance from the very beginning. We asked to see a Porsche 911, and she walked us outside to the vehicle. At no point did she offer a test drive or show any enthusiasm in helping us. We had to ask about the keys ourselves, and she claimed she had left them inside. The interaction felt like she wanted to do the bare minimum. I also asked about the Porsche Macan SUVs because I was interested in learning more about them. Every question I asked was met with short, one-word answers as if we were inconveniencing her simply by asking questions. We never felt welcomed, valued, or treated like serious customers. I understand that everyone has bad days, but customer service is still part of the job. Unfortunately, the way we were treated left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. As a dark-skinned couple, we couldn't help but leave wondering whether our appearance influenced the way we were treated. I can't say that was the reason, but it certainly felt that way based on the complete lack of courtesy, enthusiasm, and professionalism we experienced. We were "OVERCHARGED" approximately $1100.00 by his "padding" our invoice earlier that year when we purchased tires (4) and a couple of other repairs. Luckly, we had received pricing from Pete (Parts Manager) in the Parts Dept. prior to the service (unbeknownst of Michael), thus the attempt to "rip us off". When we brought up the discrepancy, he showed anger and ripped up the "padded" invoice. We believe this contributed to his "meltdown" later during our next scheduled maintenance visit. View our previous review last April: During our visits to this Dealership over the last decade, we always knew that we paid probably double for the service just to have the "Porsche Dealer Stamp" on our maintenance logbook. This practice will end today after the experience on 4/9/24 with them on our 996 Turbo concerning the Service Tech, Michael Sarantidis, who behaved in a totally juvenile and unprofessional manor with us. We left (1) inquiry on his phone asking about a "Video" that was texted to us which we desired to have Emailed instead. This "person" then proceeded to RAGE at us about being harassed continually for 10 years and he was "Fed up" with our calls. We bring (2) Porsches there and purchased (1) of them a few years ago. Extremely disappointed with my experience at Porsche North Scottsdale. We are a long-time Porsche family (Panamera, Cayenne, 911 and now a 2024 Macan), but this dealership's service has been the worst we've encountered in over a decade. Our Macan was purchased brand-new on October 31, 2024. The very next day we found scratches on the clear coat and dirt circles inside the rear liftgate and window. They detailed it but gave no explanation. Fast forward 10 months: after returning from vacation (with the Macan on a Porsche Battery Maintainer, as we've always done), the car wouldn't start. AAA got it running, but it immediately threw multiple warnings- drive with caution, service required, park vehicle safely- and the steering became unsafe. We had to tow it in at our own expense. The dealership told us we needed an $800+ new battery and that it wasn't covered under warranty because we didn't meet Porsche's "recommended mileage" of 500 miles/month. We were literally a few miles short-because the car failed before we could take it on a planned trip. They are slicing hairs to avoid responsibility. To make matters worse, we were told we shouldn't use the cigarette-lighter adapter for the Porsche Battery Maintainer- even though Porsche sells it with that adapter. Their explanation: "Porsche needs to change that." Seriously? From the salesperson to the service advisor to the customer service rep, the attitude has been consistently arrogant and dismissive. Completely unacceptable for a brand that claims to care about quality and loyalty. We expected Porsche-level service. Instead we got excuses, blame-shifting and zero accountability. Now that I have picked up the 2 Carrera 911s that this dealership said I could not order or even own, I'm leaving a final and updated review. It all started a little over a year ago, when I contacted this dealership looking to purchase 2 new Carrera 911s. The color was an extremely important factor and I wanted paint to sample colors. The sales personnel (I spoke with a few different people) at this dealership that I dealt with told me that this was not possible. I was told I could not order such cars or even purchase anything they had in their inventory without a trade in. On top of that, I was told the trade in had to be a vehicle that was registered within the state of Arizona. I am no stranger to cars and dealerships. I have purchased multiple new cars throughout my lifetime and I have never been told by ANY car dealership (no matter what make of car) that I am required to provide them with a trade in registered within the state. Only at Zoloto's dealership, have I ever been told such nonsense. I was then informed that any car that comes from their dealership has a $10-20K markup above MSRP. I then started asking about the process to create a build to see what the process entailed. I was given the run around as soon as I mentioned that I wanted to create 2 builds. Not one sales person I spoke with could keep their story straight and couldn't answer my questions. They couldn't even tell me how long the list was for the builds! Any other Porsche dealership I've dealt with has been able to look it up and tell me how many other customers with build orders are on the list for the model of car desired by the customer. Not at Zoloto's dealership! I was told, "I don't know" multiple times when asking questions about builds. Not to mention the attitudes from the sales personnel here. I'm not the only reviewer here to mention rude sales people. They acted as if they could not be bothered to assist me, yet I clearly stated multiple times I was looking to purchase not 1, but 2 vehicles from them. There were a few follow up phone calls back and forth from this dealership and it was all the same. No trade in, no car and "I don't know." I don't know why any customer would put up with this! I took my business elsewhere and placed my orders for 2 paint to sample Carrera 911s. I went through a Southern California dealership. No trade in required and I created 2 builds. Overall, I would NEVER recommend Zoloto's Scottsdale Porsche dealership to anyone! Take your business elsewhere as I did and get what you want. Here, just a little over a year later, I have 2 paint to sample colored Carrera 911s (see attached photos). Not from Zoloto's dealership! My message to Zoloto and all staff of this dealership....the next time a customer contacts you stating that they want to order 2 vehicles from you, take them seriously. I'm so terribly disappointed!!! I brought my 2021 Cayenne S for service and was completely rushed upon arrival. I told the young man that I just drove 3.5 hours and that my vehicle was going to be there for several days as I needed to gather my stuff and thoughts as I had an early morning flight. He kept repeating himself that he could take me to the service person. I told him I'd find my own way as I needed to inspect my car for all of my belongings etc. I did get help with an uber paid for by the dealership and that was great. I was gone 3 days and on day 2 my husband paid with our CC over $2,400 for the work. I returned on day 3 to pickup my car with a screenshot of receipt of payment. Cashier repeatedly told me that our CC payment was the only one declined for the previous day so I called my husband and no--it was on our CC. Super embarrassing especially since on our end, this charge went through. The young lady said she had no manager to ask for help and couldn't release my car. I needed my car so I paid again and figured I would rely on the CC to straighten out. The girl told me to find a guy with a red or black shirt to get my car--what the heck is she talking about? I went back and asked where I was to go and she said she didn't know. I do think she knows but she did start helping the customer behind me and didn't care to help me. Somehow I was dinged as a customer with 'the declined credit card'. Which is not true. Went through twice. Our CC company said that one of the charges was reversed by the dealership. I then saw my car go across the front of the dealership so I walked outside and it was nowhere in sight so I walked around for a bit. Still unable to find it. We have brought in our 911 and Cayenne both here a few times and all the other times someone made sure we got our vehicles back. I walked into the service bay and they were not listening. Completely dismissive. I finally got pointed in the right direction to get my car. No help or respect. No one walked me to the car or asked how I was or if I had questions etc. I was promised some additional information on a repair that wasn't able to be done and didn't receive that information. I had to go back and ask for it which is human. They forgot. I did get that information. We will be going to Chandler or Glendale and when it's time for an upgrade, we won't do business at Porsche North Scottsdale. It is a good business if you expect high prices and zero customer service. They couldn't even do the basics of getting my car safely back to me or directing me. Maybe I'm crazy, but paying twice for repairs and not receiving any concern for getting me safely to my car are basic business practices of a car dealership let alone from Porsche. My cc in the end only had the one charge of $2400 but it wasn't declined. I have proof and that's not how we handle our finances. Met with a super-basic Karen sales lady who knew very little about the car and would t let us test drive one and suggested the car was too powerful for my wife. 1. The saleswoman acted snobby 2. She didn't know anything about the Taycan 3. She was uninterested in helping my wife decide if electric was the right choice for her -- she's used to driving her G63 and my M5 and likes fast cars but hates filling up at gas stations. I reached out to this dealership and they informed me that they had none for sale and all of the vehicles coming in were already sold. I thought "great", I can understand that. But then I decided to ask how long the wait time is if I order from Porsche. All of a sudden they have some "builds" For the dealership that they could work with me on and here is their official response: Thank you for the inquiry on the ever so popular Taycan's recently debuted. We just received a few extra 2022 Taycan's to build for the next two months and would be more than happy to conduct business with you. Because of the inventory shortage Nationwide, the premium would be 20k over MSRP and you would have to be a resident of AZ? $20k over MSRP? That is absurd! They are totally taking advantage of Covid conditions and their customers. Imagine trying to buy food for your family and the store says it is going to cost triple if you want your groceries. Shame on these guys! We went to Mercedes Benz of Scottsdale and ordered a new vehicle and didn't have to pay anything over MSRP. Unbelievable is all I can say. He was very angry because I told the truth about his dealership and his treatment of the customers. I asked him to put that in writing or an email he refused. He said he will not write that'. His prejudices Shows very clearly when you point out the truth of how horrible this dealership is Operated. I do hope he improves himself because it's very sad to run down a dealership like that simply because they have a lot of wealthier customers in Scottsdale. Although this dealership is only minutes from my work and my house it is very obvious he doesnt respect or value any customer who is seeking the truth to improve this dealership. But once I arrived, they told me they didn't have any loaner available and had me go to Enterprise. Went to test drive a Macan S with an eye to ordering. From the moment we met AJ, the sales associate, it was clear he wasn't interested in doing anything other than getting us out the door - with or without a new car order. Pulled up the S to test drive: no walk around, no discussion of features, and then proceeded with, literally, a 10 minute test drive around the block. When I mentioned I didn't care for the available wheel options he gave a lecture on why we should like them and why aftermarket wheels could ruin the car. When asked about the order process, he told us $5k down for a nonrefundable deposit - when based on research is not the norm (initial deposit refundable until the build lock date). This experience was everything it shouldn't have been and reinforced the sterotype of the snobby Porsche salesperson who couldn't be bothered to spend the time to sell a $100k vehicle since it wasn't a 911. read more
