After two hours wait time for an oil change, they kept my car for two days because they mentioned the engine light came on. After two days of keeping my car, the technician asked me to purchase a new battery for $400.00 to diagnose the real problem because there's wasn't much volt before a loaner vehicle can be given to me. I requested to get my vehicle return to me and I can get a new battery installed by AutoZone down the road for free and it will cost me $150 less. I got my car back and there's no engine light on. Maybe I am blind or it's hidden from me. I don't know if they need to meet a certain sale target from customers but all I wanted was an oil change. I had to get myself home from work for two days. Lost $83.62 (Lyft) as a result of no loaner vehicle and keeping my vehicle at the dealership for two days. read more

On April 3, I purchased a used Nissan Sentra from Van Buick for my son. While the sales process was high-pressure, the sales staff remained respectful, and I initially felt okay about the purchase. Unfortunately, that's when the problems began. I paid for the vehicle outright with a credit card. During the paperwork process, my finance representative, Travis, asked if I wanted a warranty. I declined at first, but he explained that for $1,401 I could get a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty covering most major repairs. Based on that representation, I agreed. Travis told me he would email my paperwork and receipt. Days passed and I received nothing. When I tried contacting the finance department, no one answered. And I mean no one. After going through my salesperson, I finally got the documents. That's when I discovered the warranty I purchased was actually listed as 1 year/12,000 miles. Naturally, I was concerned. I contacted supervisors and was told I would need to wait for Travis to return from vacation in Hawaii. While waiting, the car developed a loud clicking noise when turning. To Van's credit, they got the vehicle in quickly. What they found was surprising: the car needed a new axle. So much for the "500-point inspection." They repaired the axle, but I was left wondering how such a major issue was missed before the vehicle was sold. When I returned to pick up the car, I happened to run into Travis. We had a heated discussion about the warranty discrepancy. He assured me that the warranty would be upgraded to the promised 3-year/36,000-mile coverage and even sent me emails confirming that was the plan. I have those emails saved. For a couple of weeks, communication was decent. Then it completely stopped. The promised confirmation never arrived. When I followed up, Travis told me he had just returned and would check on it. The next thing I received was a letter stating the warranty had been denied. Let that sink in. A warranty that THEY sold me on THEIR vehicle was denied. At that point I requested a refund. Through email, Travis agreed and stated I would receive two checks: one for the $1,401 warranty refund and another covering the 3% credit card fee I incurred when purchasing the warranty. Weeks passed. Nothing. When I followed up again, Travis stopped communicating and his supervisor, Justin, called me. On May 21, he left me a voicemail stating the checks were simply waiting for signatures from the person who writes the checks. Then June arrived. Still nothing. I called Justin's so-called "personal line." It routed through the operator and then rang endlessly with no answer and no ability to leave a message. I emailed again. Suddenly the story changed. Now I was told the warranty cancellation had only recently been completed and that was why the refund check had been delayed. That directly contradicted the explanation I had been given two weeks earlier. Today, more than two months after this process started, I finally received the $1,401 refund check from MPP. The second promised check has still not arrived, and at this point I am not holding my breath. What frustrates me most is that this entire situation could have been resolved with honest communication and follow-through. Instead, it required countless emails, phone calls, a 45-minute drive to the dealership, and repeated efforts just to get basic answers. I originally left a favorable review shortly after purchasing the vehicle. Like many customers, I was encouraged to leave a 5-star review. After everything that has happened, I no longer stand by that review. I am from Michigan, and my father retired as an engineer with General Motors. I've always had pride in GM and wanted this experience to be a positive one. It wasn't. The pattern of poor communication, contradictory information, and failure to follow through on commitments made me feel completely disregarded as a customer. I have documentation, emails, and voicemails supporting everything described here. Buyer beware. There are plenty of dealerships out there. Went there for a return cross country trip check, oil change and tire rotation. Picked the vehicle up when told it was completed. Drove out of the lot onto FLW, drove no more than 100 feet and heard a banging noise coming from back end of the vehicle. Driver behind me was blowing his horn and waving me off the road. Stopped, inspected the rear wheel and found 3 lug nuts missing and the remaining 2 nuts only finger tight. Limped back into the service lot where service manager said wheel was probably damaged, needEd to be inspected and replaced. Svc. mgr. claimed 2 days to get a replacement wheel, it actually took 4 days. Delayed my return trip by 3 days and service manger refused to reimburse me for the rental car I was forced to get while waiting for the replacement wheel. read more

I ordered a 2026 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate to be built from the factory so I could use my Family & Friends GMC Discount. As the delivery date got closer, I was told that there were a LOT of interested buyers in the vehicle I had ordered, even though my name was clearly on the order. Two weeks before it was scheduled to be delivered from the factory, the dealership salesman and manager reached out to me to go over the pricing. They wanted to make sure I was still going to purchase the vehicle that I ordered since there was so much interest in the vehicle. The pricing included, my Friends and Family Discount of $6079.00, BUT they added $4800.00 to the price for "Dealer Added Accessories" which includes window tint and PPE. These added accessories were never disclosed to me prior to my vehicle order or after, only when the vehicle was 2 weeks from delivery. The vehicle had not even been delivered yet to the dealership for them to add these items to it. I told them I did not want any of those things put on my vehicle and I was not going to pay for them. Then, I was told, they would reduce the amount of the Dealer Added Accessories by a $1000.00 to bring it down to $3800.00 and I would HAVE TO PAY for those Dealer Added Accessories if I wanted to purchase the vehicle I ORDERED! I have never been more disgusted with a dealership in my life! I have bought a lot of vehicles over the years and have never dealt with so much GREED! I cancelled my purchase of the vehicle that I ordered. They are now selling it for a lot more money. It is VERY CLEAR what their intensions were. I had a hard to locate electrical issue on my 2022 Yukon. Matthew the service advisor and Adam the service manager went to great legnths to attempt to locate the issue. After dedicating 3 days of searching, they were able to located the chaffed wire and repaired it at minimal cost. We called the dealership in advance to schedule an appointment for our elderly neighbor to fix a broken driver's door handle on her 2018 Buick. The appointment that was given was for several days later on the following Monday. We asked the service writer Jesus Valenzuela to call us before the Monday 4/6/26 appointment to which he never responded. We met him the day the car was dropped off. He indicated the handle would be fixed either later Monday, or the following day Tuesday. Again with no customer service follow-up on Tuesday we called Jesus. He claimed the door handle part needed to be painted. That was only a stall tactic, as the door handle required no painting. The dealership had the car until Thursday 4/9/26 (4 days!). During pick-up my neighbors black Buick was brought to us on the dealership driveway filthy including finger prints inside and outside where the mechanic performed the work. To top off the insult approximately $800 for labor was charged, and the handle was an additional charge. We will not recommend Van Buick GMC to any of our friends as this experience was awful. read more

The service area refuses to honor an appointment. They tell a long term customer that the appointment is to talk with a service writer even though the website is clear the appointment is for service not conversation with a service writer. I called to confirm availability for an oil change was confirmed for my appointment time. When I arrived I was advised that it would take 2-2.5 hours for the service and when reminded them that I had an appointment I was informed by several service writers that it was a first come first served process. I have purchased at least four vehicles from Vans over the years but the final straw was when the service area told me they did not care if they lost a customer. I will be telling whoever will listen to likewise take their business elsewhere since Vans has all the business they want. read more

My truck had a leaky radiator hose. I was asked to bring it in at 7:30 AM. I was told it could take up to two hours. I was fine with that. I did get there at 7:33. Perhaps that is the cut off for the two hour window. No updates as to how long it would take. I went to the service desk to get an update at 12 more than four hours later. I was told I think it is almost ready. To be clear, if I make an appointment I expect service to be done in a reasonable amount of time. It is clear that this dealership only cares about the front end sales and not the backend service part of the business. I have yet to receive the review link I was told would be sent to me. This quality of service lessens the value of the warranties the dealership sell to you. In my opinion the warranty service policies should be free based on the dealerships ability to provide timely and quality service to their customers. I will not be returning to this dealerships based on my recent warranty service appointment. Berkshire Hathaway needs to do a better job taking care of their customers after point of sale. read more

Brought my 2022 Buick Envision into service around the first week of December 2024. The sunroof windscreen broke and jammed, preventing it from closing. My service rep, Andrew, got me in and got it closed. He ordered a new windscreen and sunroof frame. Said would be a couple of weeks. After not hearing from him, I called only to find out he no longer worked there and talked to Dakota, who said parts in--dropped the car off. Over a week later, I called only to find out that this was a defect in sunroof design and was being changed, and a new sunroof was being ordered. Finally, last week got it installed but no windscreen as that had been redesigned also but none in stock and they had no idea if and when it would be delivered. Got a message from Carfax on how satisfied I was with the service, repeated this story and how dissatisfied I was, got a message to contact Daniel Sanchez customer relations thru email. It's been over a week, and I have not heard anything, so I'm very disappointed with the lack of communication from service keeping me advised of problems. I was the one who had to reach out to them. I bought a 2025 Denali ultimate I left it there for 4 days so they could get all there dealer details done. I go to pick it up and nothing was done, nothing so I was at the Dealer frame 9:00am to 4:00 waiting for them to do the job. It came back it was a hatchet job I was so pissed I wish I did not pay for it. So now I'm reading the reviews and wonder why there in business They charged $4,999.00 for dealer items that amount to $200. In window tint. My oil change took 2 hours and when they finally finished they told me that they had stripped a lug nut off of my tire. Since they were closing they told me they were not going to fix it and I would need to come back the next day. When I came back the next day they took an additional TWO HOURS to fix their mistake. When I returned home with the vehicle, I found a large oval shaped scratch on my drivers door that looked like the door had been opened and was rubbing against something as they worked on it as the scratches were circular also hood had two greasy hand prints where they had shut the hood. read more

I have been searching for a Tesla Model S for my wife for several weeks. This morning the vehicle I was looking for showed up on Autotrader at Van Chevrolet. I went to the dealership website to carefully review the images and read all descriptions. After careful review, I decided to purchase the vehicle. Van Chevrolet has an easy to use on-line purchase system on the website. I used the online to upload my SSN, driver's license, proof of insurance and signed to purchase the car (see images). I showed my wife and she was excited since the car is red, which is the color she wanted. Seems smooth and seamless and I am glad to have found one and bought it (on-line). Unfortunately, a little later a salesman from the dealer, Mike, called me to tell me the car is available, but the price on Autotrader and the Van Chevrolet website. The actual price would be almost $10k higher (note as I type this the vehicle is still listed at the price I signed a deal to purchase the car for). Mike was courteous and claimed it was a mistake. I spoke with one of the managers to explain that I had signed an agreement to purchase and expected them to honor the pricing and he refused and said they could do a deal for $7,900 over what is listed on the website. My wife and I are very disappointed. If you look at the Google and Yelp reviews on Van, you will find others appear to have had similar issues. If I had read the more recent reviews I would not have tried to purchase from Van. The only reason I have rated 2 stars is that Mike (sales) was courteous and tried to help, but ultimately they did not honor the advertised deal that I signed an on-line agreement for. read more

Absolutely horrendous service. John M in service department needs to be fired. He has no customer service skills whatsoever. In fact, comes off incredibly rude and obtrusive. I've spent a small fortune at this dealership in a short amount of time. I paid a thousand for a battery from this dealer that didn't even last a year in a truck that is always garaged. So they essentially put a used POC battery in my truck and waited for it to break. Yes, it's under warranty but you still have to waste an entire day jump starting your car and going over to the dealer and then they won't give a loaner and have to get a ride back another day. Moral of the story is had they put in a new battery like what I paid a thousand dollars for, I wouldn't have had the awful experience/run-in with John and wouldn't have wasted a ton of my time. Every time I get my car back from service here coincidentally something else seems to break soon after. They don't give out loaners even after you give them a ton of business. Or if you are lucky enough to get one, they charge you for it. The work they do is outrageously expensive, which would be one thing if they did a good job, BUT THEY DON'T. Not only have they lost my future business from all their constant mishaps but I probably will never buy a GMC again because of this one particular dealership read more

Yukon XL AT4 went haywire and engine wouldn't turn over and auto start was stuck on in our driveway. We had to have a tow to the dealership on a Friday afternoon around 2. I was told someone would call bc if there was a battery issue vs technical it would be a quick fix. No call. Left message. Called the following morning only to be told the vehicle would not be looked at at all until Monday bc the "service team" listed for our vehicle isn't in, there is a different team on Saturday. Not sure why a quick battery check couldn't be completed at a service department by someone. read more

I purchased a new truck from Vans GMC & had issues with overcharges, tax rate calculations, missing rebates, etc... Flash forward to 2023 and a service advisor named "Billy". I made a service appointment 2+ weeks ago for an open recall, received two reminders from that time until now, only to make the 40min trip to be told "oh, we don't stock the recall parts, I can order them & let you know when they arrive" WHAT??? So, let me get this straight - you had two weeks to notify me of this, you sent me two reminders to make sure I showed for my appointment, then you look me in the eye & tell me that I will have to return, because cumulatively there were not enough brain cells in the service dept to reach out to me ahead of time??! Wonder how many customers he pulled this off on. On sheet he filled out, wasn't giving correct information on pricing. If you there please double check that document. I have never seen another dealer with this kind of document that shows your offer. They tell you the price of the truck after negotiating.Then tell you what they will give you in trade in. Then change it that includes trade in. Which story was changed after signed papers. The document looks like you getting discount on trade in. You're not the price they come back with is after trade in. Was told that when my husband signed. . General Manager just as bad. Unprofessional, they kept saying, we need a sale today so we are going to give you a good deal. Lied to about final price we negotiated before trade in. Actually paid full price. They may of made a sale. You will not get our business and others who purchase GMC's all the time. You made want to look at your sales model. That's probably why no customers were there. I realized I hadn't updated my review. I did reach out to customer service and they assured me the multiple hits on my credit report would be removed, leaving just one. That's fair. Sadly 17 months later credit report still shows 4 inquiries (3 in Nov 2019, 1 in Dec 2019.) My score is 780-800, so it should not have been necessary to run multiple times. Ben service representative advised me he needs the vehicle for 3-4 days to accommodate their needs because they are busy. I was shocked and questioned the logic of why I would leave a vehicle for that long. He said "take it up with my manager or go to another dealer". Van's needs some training in their customer service department. I bought my wife a new 2022 GMC Yukon SLT on 8-4-2022 at Van Buick GMC in Scottsdale Arizona. We have had numerous mechanical/electrical issues with the vehicle ever since. Within the first week, we had to take the vehicle into GMC and place it in the shop for 24 hours due to ABS system coming on and the brakes not working properly. The techs had to put 50 miles on our new vehicle to troubleshoot the issue. They gave it back to use saying nothing was wrong with it. I also showed them the error codes we were receiving via My GMC App and GMC Email Notifications. Less than a week later, the center radio screen froze on us. Then a week later, the ABS and Engine lights came on again and the brakes began to fail (had to apply lots of pressure to the brake pedal for the vehicle to stop). I immediately called GMC and took it back to the shop (which is 35 minutes away from where we live). My wife GMC has been in the shop since Monday 8-22-2022 and they still do not know when we will get it back. They are trying to find a Master Brake Cylinder Sensor but there is no ETA. This is a brand new vehicle, GMC is putting more miles on our new vehicle than we are, and we have no idea when Van Buick GMC will be able to get a hold of parts so that my wife can get her brand new vehicle back so she can drive it. Note: Sales Rep (Ahmed) and Service Rep (Scott) have been great. It is the quality of GM that I have an issue with. No vehicle. Filing complaints with Attorney General, BBB, and FTC. read more

I bought a used 2019 GMC Yukon Denali and paid good money for it. They gave me a we owe you document to fix the drivers seat. However, now they are refusing to fix the drivers seat. I dropped the truck off there 3 weeks ago and the used car manager is refusing to honor the we owe you document and properly fix the seat. I believe his name is Brian Ureybay and he hasn't returned my calls or responded to my messages. What a bunch of assholes. My company car is a GMC Terrain and it's a great little SUV. I have been going to Van's for scheduled maintenance several times and I have been working with Jason. He is on top of things, very responsive and gets things done. He even had his guys fix an oil leak problem after I took it to an express lube place who used the wrong filter and drain plug.
