Booked a bar seat. Fun watching the food being prepared. Everything was wonderful! Service, food, drinks, atmosphere. All on point. Every dish was amazing. Got a couple of other things but forgot to take photos.

Fun place with music at heart. We came at 6pm so it wasnt too much like a party vibe. Fav dish - Lubina Chrime Branzino, it was on fire. It was swimming in a tomato bath, so good! Didn't want to try the Bread Salad that everyone already tried so we ordered the Caesar Salad (everyone around us seems to have the same thought) it was okay nothing special. 4 Spice Instrument - I wish the yogurt is hummus, it was okay. Asparagus - fine, roasted in parchment paper. Prime Rib ... unfortunately it's more like Rib-Eye? It is. Chicken Liver - it was good but its just too much liver for it to be an entree, feel like it would be better be an appetizer. But we enjoyed, it was fun and delicious, we will come back to try more.

The food was all really flavorful and of high quality. The price also ended up much lower than I would've expected. Four spicy instruments - three chili based dips, and one creamy one with a whole chili. Each one was full of different seasonings and herbs in addition to the heat. This was served with some challah, which was perfectly fluffy. Hummus - insanely creamy. Served with delicious crusty sourdough. Bread salad - my favorite dish of the night. The bread cubes were super crunchy, there was a wide variety of vegetable and herb toppings, and the dressing was light and summery. Batata - the sweet potatoes were cooked to a buttery soft consistency, and the sour cream on the side made for a great accompaniment. Eggplant - roasted soft in a rich tomato sauce, with some slightly funky cheeses on top. This was a good contrast against the other lighter and brighter dishes. Beetroot Carpaccio - probably the only miss of the night. The beetroot was cooked through and served cold with some horseradish on top. Not bad, just not very stand-out. My friends also ordered the lamb kebab, which I didn't try. They thought it was alright. The whole bill came to just $150 with tax and tip. This was totally worth it for the large variety of dishes, most being really well executed.

Dinner was amazing, the selection was fantastic, and the vibes were incredible! The music didn't let us sit down for long! The staff was also helpful with adjusting our reservation as needed which we really appreciated.

Great atmosphere with live DJ playing old records. Cocktails were great and very Japanese alcohol inspired. The service was great and on point. Regularly checking in and food came in quick. We order the branzino which was a whole fish and didn't have a chance to take a pic before they fillet it. Best branzino I ever had. The hummus was smooth and full of flavor. Mix between the 4 spicy ingredients and the hummus and the flavors are phenomenal! Great meeting place with friends and family

This restaurant is huge, with an interesting interior, but extremely noisy. You literally have to shout to hold a conversation. The eggplant was absolutely heavenly. I don't know how they prepared it but it was soft, melting in the mouth. So flavorful. Incredible. I was very happy with this choice & calamari was fresh, well prepared, and tasty. The menu is on the limited side but the food is special.

The ambiance was immaculate, but the food was just average. When I first walked in, it was very lively with a DJ playing music that is not overbearing loud, and the whole place was very inviting. It's a great place to bond with friends or have a casual date night with because of the decoration and vibes. Pictures don't do it justics. However, the food was quite lacking. We got the four spicy instruments dip but it was not equally split. It was tasty and I enjoyed the variety. We got the burning potato which was quite mushy and had no extra flavor, got the ribeye steak? which were thinly sliced and were a bit too salty yet did not have depth. This would have worked better as chunks, not slices. The dessert was also not great either. The basque cheesecake and apple crumble left more to be desired.

My partner who has Israeli heritage did not like this spot, but I do! They change their menu often and have a wide variety of vegetarian and meat/fish based offerings. I got the melting spinach and bread salad (which is mainly a salad, just with croutons) and both were amazing! The bread salad is HUGE by the way. I could only finish less than half. The service is also always great and they mark up the menu for my food intolerances when I ask, without fuss. I also like their drinks and they have a solid wine list.

I've been to port sa'id a couple times now and have really enjoyed it. The service is very helpful and food is paced well. Didn't get pictures of all the food, but our favorites from our most recent visit include the 4 Spicy Instruments, the Coq Au Vin, and the Branzino. Flavors were on point! Bonus points for the ever-changing menu and the DJ!

Literally cannot go wrong with anything here! Drinks are so good but be aware they are quite small. All the apps are good but the star is definitely the salad. It seems unassuming but it is the reason I keep coming back. Minute steak was good but the onions are what makes the dish! Pro tip: ask for extra challah and tahini on the side

Only in NYC can you enjoy the most incredible Israeli food with dimmed lights, DJ playing some bomb tunes all under a disco light while sipping one of my new favorite drinks: kick me. We had gone to a really nice place for dinner, but sadly it just wasn't it. We wanted a more laid back spot, with delicious food and drinks. We walked over to Port Sa'id without any reservations on a Saturday night and after doing a quick search, had NO idea what to expect. They only had seats at the bar but kindly squeezed us in right by the DJ. We had the best views in the house and were quickly welcomed by our server. Since we hadn't ever been here and weren't really sure what to order, our waiter immediately gave us recommendations. It's a place to order different dishes and share with the table. My table was a table for two but we ate like we were four lol. Our faces were STUFFED by the end of the night. Though it's loud, you can't really get much conversation in, we still communicated through our eating experience. Sharing food, sharing drinks, eating together, breaking bread. That's the experience. We absolutely enjoyed it and can't wait to be back. For the two of us, we ordered 4 different dishes from the vegetarian section and were absolutely blown away by the burekas (spinach and ricotta kind of pie) and the hummus. I've tried all kinds of hummus from all different ways and countries. This one was one of a kind and absolutely made with their SOUL. What a fun and delicious dining experience, absolutely obsessed and cannot wait to be back. The fun part is they're always tweaking and changing the menu along with the spinner keeping things interesting and fun.

Such a vibe!!! First time visiting and not the last. We got to sit on their stage table, by the Dj! Music... chill and supported conversation. Later in the evening the lights dimmed and the music volume increased a bit which was also cool. The food was delicious! We had the bread salad, beets carpaccio, hummus, lamb kabob, NY Strip, and Israeli tiramisu...just to mention a few! Oh man is all I can say! lol. We were treated by a check in with the executive chef, Chef V! Vibe was very casual, not a dress up place at all . Very come as you are. Also a very chill listening bar attached, with delicious mock and cocktails. We will definitely be back!

It's not what I expected to find here, and if I worked or lived in this area I'm sure I'd want to pop in often to browse or shop. Having said that... the shop is a bit cramped, which makes comfortable browsing a challenge--understood it is the city and real estate is a challenge, but the layout does make for a less than comfortable experience. Perhaps it is the hybrid portion record shop/portion club that means there isn't a ton of room for the shop portion. As for the browsing, it was a bit frustrating -- I was looking for a holiday gift and was having issues and wound up asking for help - "Do you have anything by Tori Amos?" "i dunno" (not super helpful) "...but you can look under T. Yep... they alphabetize by artist first name. I found Weird Al Yankovic under "A". I don't even know where to start there...I would personally expect to find this under Y...if you want to try to make a case to have it under W and treat "Weird" like a band or entity name I won't agree but I'll listen... but under A? For Al? We're alphabetizing by first name? Come on!! Mock outrage aside, it just felt too hard to find anything, not a fun place to browse and not a lot of assistance available to do so. Decent amount of records though, prices seemed a bit all over the map to me--some reasonable, some a bit outlandish--perhaps more careless than trying to rip people off--but I'd wager you can make some finds here. Might not have been my favorite record shop, but it's a record shop nonetheless--I'm sure I'll be back.

Folks running the shop are friendly and knowledgeable, and there's a great selection, so all good there. But it's not my favorite place.

His communication skills (or lack there of) ruin my experiences here every time. This time he scoffed at me saying "I'll pass on this one" to a record with a 8" scuff. Even after I apologized and led with "I am admittedly picky with my vinyl". Customer is always wrong in this establishment. It's unlikely i'll be returning in the future, and if I do it'll be for the selection of CDs only as I find the used selection is rather out of style. Very little GOOD used stuff. The reissues are plentiful, well curated, and priced at MSRP. The CD selection is admittedly incredible, but the pricing reminds me of FYE prices circa 2003; height of CD era prices. If you decide to come here I'd suggest only coming for the great selection of CDs and reissues, despite the prices of the former. I am happy with the CDs I did buy, as well as the reissue, but am very let down by the condition of the used record I brought home. The lighting is plentiful, so I'll take full responsibility for picking out a subpar album. I will never take responsibility for being treated like I am a nuisance by the owner; time and time again despite always spending a good chunk of money every time I visit. I'd much rather spend my hard earned money where it is appreciated.

I brought in three statue items unopened in the original packaging. I checked on ebay for what the items sold for (not asking price but sold price) and it added up to about $600, I lugged the items over there and had to leave them there because they wouldn't get to them right away. The people/kids working there were very nice. I went to have lunch and got the text to return, and they are offering $150. So I picked up the items and turned down the offer. Again, they were very nice, it's just I wasn't willing to accept 25% of the value. I figured at worst it would be 50%. But I am better off getting closer to the actual price on ebay. Now, Buying. Lots of very expensive and exiting things to get, and I didn't have time to price check things so much, but my son is into the Nintendo switch and i spotted a used Marvel VS Capcom game he might like. It was $34.95. But just in case, I pulled up Amazon and looked the game up. A brand new one costs $21.79. So it would have been a terrible idea for me to buy it there. I guess if you are leaving work and need a quick gift, you might stop in and pay too much for an item. If you are in real trouble and don't have time to wait for an Ebay sale, you might consider selling your collectables for 25% the value, this place might come in handy.
