Well, we just stayed here for the last time. We have been coming here for 20 years now? It started out as very affordable for many years, and with many grandkids through those years of fun! A few years ago they improved it with a new ownership. I did see some better changes with doggy poop stations, etc. Well we stayed here last week on our annual bay site view for last years rates when I booked then. Oh wow, this year I never could get online once to download anything for the day. I had to use my phone data allowance which exceeded my limit for even more money. Dog poop was everywhere and trash was picked up after cans were too full to add more. Our dog was turning into a scavenger with the food left on the ground by other campers. We decided to leave a day early. How can a place charge top dollar for a resort price for so little, they don't even measure up! Corporate must have their as##$ up their heads, or are not paying attention anymore! Tomorrow we head to a beautiful KOA around Santa Cruz for a much better rate per night. Just got home from Porto Bodega site #40. Had a really nice view of the marina but could not use the fire pit due to its poor location. The site is very small and fire pit was located about 3 feet from our 5th wheel. Too dangerous to have fire that close. Due to smallness of site we could not be farther away than that. All sites are very small. Friends across the campground also could not use fire pit because too close to rig. Also wi fi not working while we were there. So nice view but not perfect, especially for the price. Booked our next trip at Doran. read more

We have been here 3 times in the last year! So much fun that we are making it an annual trip with a large group of friends and their RV. The staff are always friendly and easy to make reservations the old fashioned way...calling. This location is close to the best clam chowder in the area, Spud Point, close to get your live crab to boil back at camp and visit the kite and candy store. We take a short drive to visit Bodega Head and climb down to the beach, or do some whale watching, bird watching and deer watching. We take our mountain bikes and ride as well. Our nieces and nephews always find something to do by walking along the beach at low tides and find critters under rocks and play in the dirt/sand, bike ride, fly kites, and fish. If you like to go deep sea fishing and or crabbing the boats leave right from the docs at Porto. The restrooms and showers I have used with the guests that stayed with us and are always clean. Unlike some of the other camping areas on the bay this one is not as windy. Great place to check out with an RV! read more

Have been coming here for years. Before the new owners bought it it was a great little full hook up park that was old but clean and you could get in almost any time. Since the new owners they did remodel the bathrooms and put in fire pits at each spot. Now it is not clean, potholes are huge, no WiFi and many of the fire pits have crumpled. So disappointed and their prices are outrageous! Can't say I won't go back because the location is great. The staff in the office is always friendly and helpful. We spent 4 nights here with a large camping club. We used the club room and kitchen every night and a lot of the days. The weather was nasty, but all had a good time. The sites are graveled and mostly level with lots of room for a tow car or towed car. Several of the rigs are 40 ft and are accommodated nicely in the pull-through sites. They remodeled the bathrooms this year and they have tiled floors and new everything. Restaurants are nearby if one wants to go out for the occasional meal. I think a lot of improvements have been made here recently. read more

I have enjoyed Porto Bodega for years but i have to say this place is losing its appeal. The bathrooms seem to go for days without being cleaned. This is a huge negative in my book. The sites are ok but we were told there were limitations to our choice of dates, however, when we got there it was practically empty for the specific dates we wanted. Whats up with that? Prices are too high. They said they upgraded the place but we didnt see any worth mentioning. Go back to the old prices or do the upgrades, but do something to make me want to come back. read more

Came here last year, paid around $65. Infrastructure needs work (pot holes etc). Came back to bigger potholes and the prices have increased to $120/ night. And the internet sucks. Really? Don't bother with this place at these prices. I'll read more

Great little rv park, right in the marina. Very family friendly. The majority of the people at the park respected the quiet hours, which is a huge plus for me and my family. The hook ups are pretty far back on the site (our rv's hook ups are in the middle) so we had to buy a longer sewer line to accommodate this. However, the office was very nice and called the local store to see if they had one we could buy. There are several restaurants within walking distance, which was nice as well. There really is no beach access, which is fine but I would like to stay at a park that had beach access next time :) read more

Beautiful location right on the water. Most sites have sewer/electricity hookups, but the ones along the water with the boat views do not. What I love about motorhoming here is the super clean bathrooms and showers. Showers are not coin-operated, so you can be a water hog. The ladies who run the main office are sweet and knowledgeable. There is a large area for the kids to ride their bikes and watch the commercial fishermen come in with the day's catch. Fun for all. read more

Staying at Porto Bodega again this year. The views are great. Staff is friendly and so helpful. My only complaint is they offer a laundromat which by the way is clean and washer/dryers are in great working order, however you cannot buy quarters anywhere on site, they don't even carry them in the office?? Not sure I get that. They would be a lot more useful to RVers if there were quarters available. The only store in walking distance does not sell quarters either. If looking for a park that includes laundromat be warned bring quarters. read more

Amazing... We came in late on a Tuesday night after driving 9 hours from San Diego area. Being so late no one was in the office so we parked at the first site and called it a night. The following morning we were able to pay for the stay and take showers in the wonderful bathrooms ( heater,clean,very warm water). Wish we could have stayed to do the half day fishing on the marina! read more

I'm writing this review for Porto Bodega RV park, not the marina itself! I didn't see the RV park as an option, so wanted to clarify. Just back from a Labor day weekend stay at Porto Bodega and we really liked it! I wanted to give it 4.5 stars :) We dry docked our camper van and had a view of the marina and bay. It was very peaceful, even on a crazy busy holiday weekend. The staff was very accomodating and took my last minute reservation over the phone and I didn't even secure it with my credit card! There are a few permanent residents towards the entrance of the park, but their lots are well maintained. I loved waking up each morning to the fog on the bay, sea lions barking, and crisp, cool air. There were a couple of rowdy rv'ers the second night, but fortunately they quieted down by the 10 pm quiet hour start. The only con was the bathrooms weren't that clean, esp. for a private rv park. The toilets and stalls need replacing and cleaning should be at least one time/day. What makes this park appealing, besides being bayfront is that there is a yummy mom/pop restaurant up the hill called Sandpiper (recommend their breakfast burrito...mmmm) and a gourmet coffee house a half mile down the road. Also, very close to the beaches (we spent our time at Portugese beach). We will definitely be returning to Porto Bodega RV park! read more

Nice view of Bay. Many young partying,drinking couples with small kids or the other end of spectrum friendly retirees. They stay up late even in January when it is chilly. Kids, dogs and campfires galore. Spaces are small. Be careful backing in your rig..... we bumped a truck but fortunately only scrapes to our trailer. People bring bars, tables, kid motorized cars, tiny bikes. I had a safety concern.... That said we enjoyed our stay and look forward to the young ones leaving at the end of the weekend! Friendly staff. Wifi at the ingested clubhouse. Our space was flat with no leveling required. read more

Spent three nights and never again. First, when we checked in rate was$20 more per night from what was posted and confirmed on the internet. No Cable tv as also listed, no price consideration given. Bathroom never cleaned while we visited. Live and learn! read more

Lot's of changes going on since my last stay. They now have some permanent vacation mobiles in place. These mobiles took away the sites along the marina next to the bathrooms where I had previously stayed and had the unwelcome residents from the neighboring mobile home park walking through my site on their way to the restroom. Still no Wi-Fi in the park and they still should address the Cable TV or lack of Cable TV in all sites. The sites that have cable, it doesn't really work very well. Also, the issue with using the Wi-Fi in the rec room is still troublesome if others are using the room for events, but hopefully, that will change soon. read more

Just called to make a mid-week reservation for mid-January. After the Camp Fire, with thousands of people in Nor Cal out of their homes, living in RVs, they raised their rates from $65 weekday to $110 per day. I get that insurance companies are paying for many to be living away from home, but this seems unfortunate to raise rates over 40% when people are hurting like this. read more

Its a big gravel parking lot facing Bodega Bay and an old, worn-down marina. Some sites have views of the bay and are waterfront. Fire pits but beware of being smoked out by your neighbors....the spaces are tight! Often very windy and cold. Preposterously expensive now- $60+/night (!!) as of June 2018. We used to come here a lot with our trailer, and had fun...but the value equation is now out of whack. There are other places nearby with better value. read more

Stayed at the RV park for the first time this week. Made the reservation months ago with a promise that the staff would try to get us into a water spot. They never could fulfill that! That's OK till I got there! There were quite a few water spots available thru out the whole week. If someone competent was in charge is the scheduling they could of made it work for us. They also never told us that our spot didn't have Tv! Not that big of a deal but it would of been nice to be told upfront. DO NOT come here if you have kids!!! Lots of old and nasty people here!!! My boys were playing wiffle ball outside and one lady told them, "You better not hit my car or anyone else's with that ball!" There's no place to play here for kids. Hence, the wiffle ball because you can't harm anything with it! Trying to find another place to stay! This place is ridiculous. Camped here perhaps four times, and each time their facilities keep getting improved over the prior time. The reason for my glowing 5 star rating is primarily its location, as it sits wonderfully right smack dab on Bodega Bay with the water lapping at your feet. You almost feel like you are on a boat, the water is so close. Also of note, they have a modern club room for groups up by the office. Our camping club of 9 rigs had a dinner there (pot luck) and played card and dice games. It has a kitchen and restrooms. It was charming. And, since the campsites are on the water there are great opportunities to see the boat fleet, the docks, and other harbor goings on. They offer full hookup, and I notice many expensive motor homes (they offer 50 amp service as an option). Also Wi-Fi. There are other similar camping areas in and around Bodega, like Doran and Bodega Dunes which are all nice too, but the new and improved Porto Bodega make it the go to place for the real experience. read more

We just spent three nights here in our travel trailer and had a great time. While it is true, as others have pointed out, that the sites are not big and are all gravel, if you have an outdoor site rug, that's not really a problem. We had full hookups and all the sewer inlets are down flush with the ground so there are no flow problems. The marina isn't sparkling new by any stretch but it's quaint. The best sites are right on the water on the bay side but they were all taken when we were there. The WiFi doesn't work anywhere in the campsite area that we could determine and they don't offer even the basics (like ice) in the office. But the area is spectacular. Heading north you will find extremely beautiful and rugged California coastline and several dog friendly beaches. There are lots of great places to eat and enjoy the view and you can hit some of the spots on the California Cheese Trail if you're not a vegan. This park is not great for kids, which is one of the things we liked about it. It was very quiet and peaceful. We'll be going back for sure! read more

Just returned home from a 4 night stay and I miss being there already. The staff is amazingly accommodating. When we first saw our site we noticed that the folks in the site next to us had pulled in vs backed in. They had their lounge chairs set up and facing "our side" of our space including being almost on top of our picnic table. Awkward situation! No idea why they would do that but oh well! I walked over to the office and explained the situation to Brandi and she worked some magic and got us into the site next door. Wow. Made my day. After 2 nights we just couldn't leave .. Ended up adding 2 more nights and it was perfect. Love the view, very quiet spot and can't wait to get back. read more

Heaven here on Earth! Short notice reservation as we were just told about this place minutes before calling, no problem! We get here and the staff are awesome! Got the spot we were told on the phone. Easy getting into the spot, utilities a breeze. Spacious enough spot, no dingy in tow. Four nights stay and elated with this place! The water, cool temps, extremely friendly neighbors, wow what a place. Dog friendly! Fishing, yes fishing! Hope to come back again some time. read more

This was my second stay at the RV Park. The site can't be beat- I've been coming and staying here since I was an infant and long before the RV park existed. Sites are level, have fire pits, and the restrooms are okay in cleanliness. My chief complaint is that for the price they charge, the maintenance should be better. The fire pits need repair, as most of them look as if they've been hit by vehicles/RVs more than once; the restrooms are okay, during my previous stay I could tell the sinks had not been cleaned as the same hair was still there 24 hours later; but the biggest issue I have are there are no set hours for the bathroom/shower cleaning. I have never been to an RV park where there were no set hours for cleaning, as a result, you have to try to beat the maintenance crew, or "kick them out" as I was advised by the registration staff. Nope, not my job to kick out maintenance staff. I'm a guest. They excuse they gave as to why they do not have set hours is because they "tried that before and it didn't work". Shoddy and sloppy. How am I supposed to break camp to leave by check out when I can't take a shower and get ready?? read more

What else can you say when you live in the valley and want to go to the coast. Lets load up and head for PBRVP, this is our fifth year going their. We started out in the dry sites and have moved up to full hook up water front sites, made reservation as we were leaving for the next year. Each year it keeps getting beter, this is the start of our family camping season five rigs and the guest house. We have expanded this year to seven rigs, friends are finding out about our get away. We go on presidents weekend rain or shine, buy fresh crab wright off the boat when it pulls in boil it up and through it right on the table. It doesn't get any better than this, we are the Dillons stop buy and have cold one. read more

Be careful staying on weekends if you don't like a lot of people and noise! We stayed durning the week on the water just a few people were there it was pleasant then on a Friday night was awakened by loud people drinking and threatening to fight then during day someone was playing loud country music starting in the morning at 5:30 am for an hr. someone had their generator on. Still waiting for someone at the place to get back to us on being reimbursed. There was no one who answered the phone we almost called 911. Someone should be available if things get out of hand it's not a big place so many if not all heard everything we did. Nice place and location just wouldn't stay again if campground is full and on a weekend which is when it fills up. read more

After reading over some reviews, I see that I am not the only one who had issues with the quiet hours being observed. I can handle drinking noisy people going on for up to a half an hour after quiet time, but screaming (seriously, screaming) group of 30 right outside my trailer going until after 1:30 was totally unacceptable. The place itself was fine, nothing great, but fine and a nice location on the bay. If you're looking for peace and quiet, I guess you just have to hope that rude people aren't next to you. The staff is fine, but gone after 5:00 pm and all hell breaks loose. I won't return. read more

Mixed reviews. Starting with the best - the view was fantastic! Doesn't get any better. We had site #40 at the very end and well worth it. We met some lovely people here and have made some lifelong friends. The amenities around the town were nice and there is a fantastic restaurant up the road called fishermans cove. Very tasty food and great views. The less appealing part is that it is basically gravel lot and pretty small spaces. We are in a 32' motorhome towing a jeep. Adequate to fit in and since the neighbors were so friendly we were happy - but if you are expecting great sites this isn't the place. The view was worth the less than stellar sites. The day we left our sewer didn't work and we had to dump at the dump station. When I discussed with the lady at desk I didn't get the warm and fuzzies - however they did apparently take care of it strait away so the next person will have sewer connection. read more

So noisy all day and night right by the office. Doesn't appear to be anyone on site managing this property after hours. Several permanent residents living onsite. We got a spot next to the office and one of the residents was loudly working on their truck all day, so instead of relaxing next to the water which is what we paid for, we got to listen to them rev the truck up all day. Not to mention, we had a 1 yr that couldn't nap because of it. Management couldn't wait to escape at 5p on the dot! The first day we came in, some resident was blasting country music all day. And until 8p, there were older children who obviously lived here playing roller hockey right behind us. There are some old broken down boats and the docks look like they are in need of major repair. Nice gravel roads though, very level and no tent camping which is nice. Water front spots are awesome but are booked a year in advance. Don't stay near the office. You will be sorry. read more

My husband & I joined my family who were all staying at Porto Bodega RV park in their RV's. Since we don't have an RV I called & inquired about renting the 1 bedroom vacation house, but it was not available for the dates we were there. The person on the phone then informed me that they have an RV in the park in space 6 that they rent out, so I asked if it was in nice condition & clean and she said yes, it's not new but they wouldn't rent anything that wasn't nice. Well, let me tell you, it was an old, filthy, smelly, rusty, dilapidated, no window screens, 30 year old piece of junk motor home! It was AWFUL! I then tried to book a room in Bodega Bay but since it was a weekend, nothing was available so we were stuck with it for Friday & Saturday, but we got a room at The Tides for Sunday as we couldn't stay in that thing one more night! The RV park itself was fine but they really should haul that thing out & replace it. It certanily left a bad impression and I can't believe the owners would rent that thing! read more
