I came in for a haircut with reference photos of the style I wanted, but the initial cut done by Thai unfortunately did not match the inspiration photos I showed. The cut had more length in the front, some unevenness, and the overall shape and layering were quite different from what I had asked for. Because of the way it was cut, I had to wait about 4 months for my hair to grow out enough before it could properly be corrected. I returned for a correction appointment, and this time Iven fixed the haircut and did a much better job achieving the look I originally wanted. I'm much happier with the final result now and appreciate his work. However, I was disappointed that I was still charged for the correction after previously being told it would be complimentary because the original cut did not turn out as requested. She was easy to book with (Insta: @kimhn.hair) for a full balayage, very affordable as she's building her clientele, warm & friendly, very knowledgeable, and very talented & skilled, really taking her time and listening to her client's preferences. She really took her time teasing each lightened section and adding a root smudge at no extra charge for a nice blend, and beautifully toned my hair to a nice golden brown color that I was wanting when I explained that I didn't want to be a blonde (she nailed it!). She also offered me water a few times & let me know that if I went home and realized I was dissatisfied with the toner shade, I could come back and have her darken it. Great customer service! The salon is well-maintained and spacious with ample parking and plenty of food/drink places nearby. They have a nice and comfortable waiting area, and the bathroom is really convenient & clean, & everyone is really friendly. I would recommend an appointment (especially during the holiday season), as they were very busy on a Saturday morning/afternoon. This review is for the one and amazing Janice!! Saw some reviews about Janice, personally for me, I never experienced that. I had the opposite experience and I am so so so so happy about how my hair turned out. She was warm friendly, and kind. She meticulously did my hair, and even curled it at the end when the shop was already about to close down and almost everybody left. She made sure that none of the dye would stain my face, gently handled my hair, and gave so much love into her work. I came in to get highlights and just to revamp my black hair, came out with this amazing ash golden blonde that looks better even in the sun. The photos don't do it justice at all, my hair GLOWS. I left with soft hair, my hair doesn't feel dried out at all and there was barely any damage. I loved Janice, she was the most funniest and kind person ever, it was a blast to talk to her and share stories. Had my haircut with Ivan. I have to say I'm so unhappy with his work as he rushed through my haircut. The moment I sat down, I noticed he already had another customer waiting for him. I wanted very choppy layer shoulder length cut and I told him over and over that I wanted a lot of layers. What I got was one big bob w barely any layers. After cutting my hair for a quick 20 minutes , he just said okay all done thank you! I was like, are you already done? I don't really see any layers, my hair doesn't seem to have any shape to it yet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He was like yea there's alot of layers. I kept touching through my hair to see if there are layers and didn't find any. I kept asking him are you sure there are layers? He kept saying yea there's a lot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I didn't want to stand there and argue with him so I just stood up to leave. When I got home, looked at my hair in the mirror, it was exactly what I thought , one big bob with barely any layers. This is what happens when they are GREEDY and double book customers and cut short the time to work on your hair and do a sloppy job and tell you they're done so they could take on the next customer. Came here before and really loved Chi Vicky and how gentle she was to me and helped fixed my hair from a previous place that cut it bad. I went here again to try a new hairstyle, and found out Chi Vicky was on vacation and I guess I trusted this place. A guy with blond hair cut my hair, he asked for a reference picture and took 1 quick glance at it and said okay. Starts insanely cutting my hair off at random bits at a very fast pace and did not look like my reference photo at all. I asked for a korean pixie, but a little longer on the bottom, but he straight up gave me a middle age white woman bob cut. I told him it was not what I was going for, and should look at the reference photo and he said it was the same and blamed it that I wanted it longer. He "fixed it" by chopping uneven layers in the back and my hair is completely uneven. I spoke up and he got defensive then stopped working on me and asked the owner to fix it. Not once did he apologize, but stood there defending himself and saying the haircut and reference is the same. The owner was very nice and gentle, and she explained that my reference couldn't be replicated due to different hair textures, then I asked her why he didn't notify me and she apologized on his behalf. She said she couldn't really do much to fix it, but would fix up some spots. He messed up all of my hair, and it's completely unreasonable that he called me in to begin only because his pre-book customer flaked on him. If you can't cut a certain type style, please don't try on a client because it is terrible and I broke down crying on the chair with the owner trying to fix. read more

Please read this before you decide to chop off your hair with Julie!!! See pics for reference!! I'm so sad to be writing this review because I've gone to Julie 3 times before and really liked her. I've even recommended a couple people to her. I guess this was only when she would just trim my long hair. But today, I asked her to chop off about 10 INCHES of my hair to cut it into a longer bob cut. I even showed her pictures of what I wanted. She totally messed up my hair; I actually really HATE it. And the service I received today was not what I usually experience either. 1. I had an appointment at 4:30 pm. She asked me at 3:15 pm if I can come in ASAP since she was free. I said no, but at 3:23 pm, I texted her saying I can come and be there by 4 pm and she said "yes, come now". Then as I'm driving there, she said "sorry I have an appointment at 4 pm, come at 4:30". 2. I get there at 4:31 pm and I see her dyeing a customers hair. She asks me to sit and wait. She didn't see me until 4:50 pm. I kid you not. Seems like she double booked last minute since #1 happened. 3. She didn't wash my hair like she normally does. She just straightened my hair with a straightener over and over again while cutting my hair. And It was so hot in this shop; I was already sweating... 4. She chops off my hair (see pic). And thins out the bottom 2 inches of my hair and calls it a day. When she grabbed the mirror to ask if it liked it, my initial thought was, "wait, are you done???" My hair looked so incomplete. I don't tell her I like it. I just keep saying "ummmm is there any layers in there? It doesn't seem thin enough" and she combs her fingers through my hair and goes "there's a lot already it looks good. You'll see it more when you curl my hair". But I told her I NEVER curl my hair!!!! I need a cut that looks good when it's straight. I've never used the word "uhmmm" so many times before. What more could I say? I wasn't happy about it but she seemed content with her work. So I hesitantly got up and walked to the front. I was soo UNHAPPY. 5. As I am Venmo-ing her money for my hair cut, she calls over a customer "hey Steve, sorry for the wait" and leaves me at the front to walk her customer over to her chair. She doesn't even say bye. Again, it seems like she's booking her appointments way too close together. Maybe that's why my hair was bad? Maybe because she was RUSHING since she had someone waiting on her. (Just like she and me wait while she finished with her other customer before). 6. I get home to shower my hair. Maybe after a shower, it'll look better????? No. My hair is UNEVEN and so thick still since she didn't even touch the top of my head. (SEE PIC!!) She was my go-to hair girl. She was cheap and I liked my trims each time. I hate writing bad reviews, but I'm never coming back here. I have to make an appointment for ANOTHER salon for them to FIX MY HAIR. I need to even out my cut and thin out my hair. I'm so so so sad about my hair and so sad to be writing such a bad review for Julie. But my hair speaks for itself. And I can't even call and tell them I don't like my cut, because I don't trust her to even try to fix it. read more

Tina did an amazing job on my hair. She was extremely vigilant about preventing any further damage on my already bleached and dyed hair. She left my ends out after an hour of processing to make sure the bleach doesn't tear my hair apart too much. All in all, the results speak for themselves! There are actually more silver hues than the photo portrayed but the lighting was really off. I also want to mention that she stayed 2.5 hours overtime to work on my hair. I waited less than 15 minutes for her to proceed with my appointment! Come here. You won't regret it read more

Pose is still five stars in my book! I've been coming here for the past 4 years for cut and color sessions. Tina is still the only gal that I trust with my long locks. Hair salons are a dime a dozen in OC but to find someone amazing that knows your style is not easy. I usually book an appointment every 12-16 weeks since long layers don't need much maintenance. Although I don't come in often, my stylist will still perfect the look I want on every visit. The salon is very clean and spacious so it's well ventilated. No smell from all the chemicals and dyes that are used. They accept walk-ins but appointments are recommended. There are plenty of stylists to select from. They all seem very talented and the staff mesh quite well. I've been to a few other salons but none can compare to the work and prices at Pose! read more

We went over what I wanted and she made sure to explain everything she was doing and even offered what she thinks would look best. I ended up going with what she suggested (lighter undertone) and I love it. She even offered me water and gum since I was there for around 3-4 hours. My hair ended up taking longer than expected and Janice stayed past closing to finish up my hair while everyone else had already left. I was looking for a new stylist because it was so damn hard to coordinate with my previous stylist schedule and plus I wanted to go to someone who can get exactly what I wanted if not better! Here comes Tuong. He was referred to me by someone else as I really liked her hair. Texted him and called him to schedule my first appointment and everything was easy breezy. I showed up thinking I just wanted to get a touch up since it'll be a risk going 360 with someone I've never had before. When I got there Tuong made me feel 100% comfortable and since I didn't know what I wanted he made some suggestions. One of my pet peeve is when a stylist tell you that it will take a couple of sessions to get you the hair color that you want AFTER spending 5-8 hours being there already. Who has time and money to do that ?! So when he told me he could get me the color that he suggested, I was a little hesitant because I didn't have the time for this. I also made it difficult for him when I asked if he could blend the two colors that he suggested from the two different pictures and without hesitation he said yes! He was extremely detailed and blended my hair beautifully. I am a wussy when it comes to pain so I did feel that the shampoo / hair washing process was a painful experience but the coloring process was easy breezy. Extremely happy with the result.
