Posh Nail spa has a professional and friendly staff. I have been a regular client of Cindy's for years. I have frequent and regular manicure and Pedicures. I currently use SNS for Manicures. Cindy, Tom and staff treat everyone, both regular and walk ins with respect and give everyone the same level of service. Cindy is extremely careful to give the best mani/pedi...she cuts no corners. The shop is always clean and I have never doubted the cleanliness of equipment. Over the past 18 months they have gone from a 2 man shop to a booming business with more stations added. At times there is standing room only, which speaks to the quality of their work. When super busy people are moved through quickly and efficiently. I've been to a handful of places in Durham and Brier Creek, and this was a wonderful experience!! I had an appointment, so despite a relatively small salon and bustling crowd of customers and employees, I was sat right away (not everywhere does that with appointments)! The pedicure was quick but pleasant, which was just perfect for my needs today. It wasn't an over the top kind of relaxing "spa" experience, with lots of conversations ongoing, but if I'm looking for that I go to a more dedicated massage-like salon. Their options for regular polish are adequate, but they have an extensive selection of gel colors and dipping powders to choose from! I got ombre style dipping powder, and am in LOVE. Had a good experience. I got a pedicure. I really appreciated that my heels were exfoliated with a pumice rather than the "cheese grater" it really is better for my feet. Vince gave a great leg massage & even fixed a broken nail that would have made my pedicure look less polished if he had just cut it off. Much appreciated the extra care! read more

Been coming here since my move to Durham back in the beginning of this year. An awesome nail salon overall. Had a bit of a hiccup in the beginning with the way my finger nails turned out but the owner Tom was really quick to correct the mistake and offer me a coupon for a percentage off my next visit. That is what has me kept me coming back is for the customer service in being pretty amazing and the fact that this salon is up with the times in their techniques. Had a few of the other techs do my nails and have been fully satisfied. Definitely recommend this place to any new comers in the area and or someone looking for a new salon. read more

I had a less than desirable experience at this salon. It was my first time going and I noted that when I made my appointment online. Several hours after I made the appointment I received a message that the time slot I requested was taken and I would need to come later. This should have been a red flag but I'm was able to reschedule at a time that worked for my schedule. I got to my appointment a few minutes early and explained I had an appointment but wasn't giving any instruction other than pick a color. After I selected a color I was prepared to sit in the waiting area since there was no instruction otherwise then the same lady told me I could come to the back and have a seat in a pedicure chair. The chair (which was not the only one open) was not an operational massage chair which was very disappointing. I placed my feet in the water which was lukewarm and told the lady I preferred it warmer and she walked away. She provided me with the basket to pick out a nail color again with no commentary. Of course these were all red flags but I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Once the gentleman began polishing my toes I noticed one of my big toe nails was noticeably slanted. I mentioned to him and it was as if he knew but wasn't going to say anything if I didn't. He made the necessary corrections and then began my manicure. I knew from my toes that I needed to be more vigilant with my manicure and sure enough had I not said anything there would have been a couple of fingers that were not filed smoothly and had been painted over. After finishing my nails he put lotion on my hands but did not rub it all in. By no means do I expect the red carpet to roll out but when shelling out $50+ for a service I do expect you as the business to care about the experience I have and not just check a box. From my perspective customer service is not a focus for this nail salon. Maybe this was an off day for the nail salon but it was my first visit and as a result of my experience I'm not inclined to visit again nor recommend anyone. read more

I called ahead about 30 min to see if they could fit me in for a gel manicure for my upcoming engagement party. They said yes, and I showed up a little early. As I walked in, someone told me by the door to pick out a color and sign in. I did so and waited for about 15 minutes. I was asked if I wanted a pedicure three times while I waited, so I said no thanks three times. Eventually, the same lady pointed to a chair and said "sit here," so I did. Someone greeted me a few minutes later and asked if I wanted my nails cut shorter and I said no thank you because I have been growing them out, but to have them square filed. He proceeded to file them so short that it was against my skin, then asked if I wanted them cut. I said no, this was already to short. Then someone came and brought me water, no one asked me anything else. My gel manicure was finished in 30 minutes, my nails were incredibly short, my "hand massage" was maybe 1 minute, and my nails are barely square shaped. I am not a picky person and I'm incredibly laid back. This place was so busy that I don't think they cared. Maybe I'll give it another chance at a different time of day since it has such good reviews. UPDATE: I spoke to the manager Tom about my experience and he was extremely understanding of my situation. They do SNS! I first encountered SNS in Georgia and I loved it but not many salons in Durham did SNS, and the ones that did wanted to charge $60.00. I found a place in Burlington that was reasonable, but I hated the drive. I decided to Goggle It and see if there was a salon that did SNS and didn't charge a ridiculous amount. I found Posh! I got my SNS and my pedicure I was very pleased. The owner introduced himself to me and said if I was unhappy or if something happens to my nails come back and he would take care of me. His goal is for every customer to be happy. Well I am a new happy customer. read more

I came in last week for the first time and had a pretty bad experience - left with a bleeding foot and gel nails that were sloppily painted onto the skin - I shared by feedback here and with the nail salon. Not only did I get a call back immediately, I was also offered to come back in to fix the nails AND I was given a gift certificate in the amount of my first service. Tony did my nails - and they have never looked better. Tom and Cindy offered kind, sincere service and genuinely wanted to make sure I had a better experience. This is by far the worst nail salon! They all have attitudes and are very rude people! The so called manager woman that sits in the very front is always angry. She answers the phone mad. When you walk in the door she's mad. Tom the other so called manager sucks, he gets defensive and very rude when you tell him the truth about how you've been treated. Great little family owned nail bar with terrific service. It's hidden in the shopping plaza by the Food Lion near Duke, so it can be easy to miss. Lots of easy parking. I've come in on Saturdays as a walk-in and while busy I have never needed to wait more than 10 minutes before being served. I primarily come in for pedicures and the sanitation as well as hygiene practices by the staff are clearly in place. The selection of colors is fabulous and they always have the newest color releases from OPI. I'm a big fan of the citrus pedicure though the spa deluxe is equally as good for a lower price point. The staff take their time and in general my pedicures last me for a month plus using just regular polish. read more

Canh did my nails this most recent time-I smudged the top layer of polish on my thumbnail right as he was finishing and he insisted on removing all his hard work and starting over so it looked perfect. I wanted to try a new salon, maybe they have a different or larger choice of colors. I always Yelp a business first, and this one had good reviews! So I made an appointment for a refill. When I arrived, they barely looked at me and asked if they could help me. I said I have an appointment and was met with silence. There is a check in iPad, and it says wash your hands first, and there's also sanitizer there, so I just figured I'll check in and I should go wash my hands. I made my way to the back of the salon and I came back up front and checked in. Still no one spoke to me. I started to look at colors. Meanwhile, other customers were coming in and being greeted as regulars would. 10 minutes later, I sat down with an older gentleman. I was curious about SMS nails so I asked him. Immediately the lady behind me turned around and snapped, "yeah, you have to take off those nails to get it." Ok, then I asked about other colors. I usually get gel color, she didn't even ask me that. She snapped again," what we have on the wall is all we have!" So I snapped back, "yes, I figured!" However, they do have gel color, but apparently, the one I chose was so close to empty, we could barely finish the set! Now 2 days later and the color is coming off. I was so tempted to walk out! Yesterday was the first time I had visited this salon and I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere once inside was so calming a beautifully decorated. The employees all spoke English and were very easy to communicate with not to mention super friendly. I received a gel manicure and enjoyed how they soaked my previous polish off versus using a nail grinder. I saw Diana and she did a great job on my French manicure! Super awesome experience here! I set up an appointment for 5:45 on Friday evening for a gel mani and a regular pedi. I arrived right on time and man, it was packed! Apparently it was prom so lots of little high schoolers getting their nails done! I wasn't technically greeted but I made one of the manicurist aware of my presence and appointment after about 5 min of me sitting looking through colors. I was set up in a massage pedi chair with some glowing water and massage control in hand so I was ok with waiting longer with my feet soaking. Got my pedicure done fairly quickly, but it didn't feel rushed at all, just efficient which is perfect. He also began to cut and file my nails while I was in the chair and we scooped up a station as soon as one became available! My nails and toes both came out great and I had a great and relaxing experience. I'll be back soon for the SNS powder as soon as my gels are worn down. read more

My toes ended up looking very good, but the gel on my fingers doesn't cover the whole nail, and it is starting to peel a bit after a day. Today was the first time I visited posh nail spa. I read all the reviews and this place exceeded my expectations! Me and my sister were walk ins. This place is beautifully decorated and very relaxing! I had the spa pedicure which included an extra lavender scrub and lavender lotion plus hot towels and massage and a polish change. They offered me a bottled water and everything was very clean they used liners and sanitary tools. They didn't rush through the services and the prices are very reasonable. If you want SNS dipping it sounds like they are busy so make an appointment. I will be back! read more

I normally never write bad reviews, or do things like this I just wanted to warn other customers like myself. I have been going to Posh for over a year now and have religiously gotten SNS. I love the dip and for $31 it is hard to beat. Today I went in to take my SNS off and put gel on. I get to the counter and it was $35. Which I knew a gel manicure was $28, so I asked why $35 and was told it was $7 to remove SNS... If I would have removed my SNS and kept SNS on- it would have been free... but because I had SNS and did Gel ( which I believe is even an easier process) I was charged $7 for removal. I understand if I was just getting a removal and no other service but $7 for a bowl of acetone is INSANE- when 100% pure acetone is .99c a bottle. The point of this is take your SNS off before you go if you are planning on getting another service besides SNS and save yourself enough money for a meal. read more
