I have two pet peeves about small businesses that display: - A no can do attitude - The desperate need to prove how/why they are right Apparently, they never learned the lesson of: "If you are given the choice of being right and being kind, choose kind" (Wonder). It's a wise life lesson, but also a critical principle of any type of successful customer service. Businesses can't soar when they don't have this figured out. If you know me one iota, you know that I spoil my dogs in an epic way. One doggy even had his own toy room, yes he did. So to lose my business because you want to quibble about a $32 store credit is a shame on them. Years ago, I had ordered a large sweater for my dog to wear to his chemo treatments. According to the description, it would fit my Golden. As it turned out, it didn't. Customer service advised me to send it back for a store credit when we couldn't find an ideal alternative. I spent my own money to ship it back via UPS.. Credit landed on my account. Shortly thereafter, I lost this little love bug and brokenheartedness never allowed me to get a new doggo for almost four years. When I finally did, I was reminded of Posh to continue to spoil new doggy. Instead of having an easy breezy "sure can do" attitude (as my store credit clearly shows in my profile), they chose to engage in the petty. In this case, I don't want to hear about store policy and how the credit expires after x-amount of time. In this case, I want to witness a business demonstrate grace and not righteousness and some arbitrary timeline. Bottom line, they have the sweater and the money (I should have just kept the sweater as it would have fit my new dog), I had to pay for the shipping to send it back (so I lost in three ways). But ultimately, you lost the business of a potentially great customer who would have given you a whole lotta business. Over $32?! Petttttttty. Go ahead and keep your $32; hope it brings you all the joy you dream of. Tip to Posh: Small businesses that crush it are businesses that adopt a "The customer is always right" attitude. The adage is an adage for a reason. Update: The owner's response perfectly illustrates my point! (And the points of all other negative reviewers on here). Rigid thinker and shortsighted. P.S. If the credit expired in November 2015 (one year after issuance), the lapsed time would be 5 years, 4 months....not SEVEN years like she, again self-righteously, tries to suggest, but again, what does it even matter?
