They are undergoing extensive renovations of the kitchen and I was told all food coming out of a food truck out back. Woefully underprpared for this. Have eaten here several times and enjoyed it. This time the girl working the front was frazzled and rude. Chaos. They should've just shut down instead of alienating customers. I watched three groups come in and leave after being told it was a 15min wait and No, u cannot go to the bar area. This was my first visit. I had the special, which was Tennessee wings. They were a take on a Nashville Hot style like you can get across the way at Rockys Hot Chicken Shack. They were large and juicy which was nice but VERY greasy. They did come with carrots and celery and Blue Cheese dressing. I am a wing fan and I would not get these again. I hear the Tiger wings are very good here but these were disappointing- mainly because they were excessively greasy. They also charged me $.99 for an extra blue cheese dip but did not tell me an extra side of dip would cost extra. Another dollar was crazy for a small stainless steel dip cup of dressing. First time-I didn't mind so much the 45 min wait-however service started out good then had to ask for him a couple times. They were not busy-the food was extremely greasy!! My wife and I recently went to Post for dinner. Here's the jest of the experience you can plan to expect. The food is really good, and you can tell it is all made with thought, the Mac and Cheese was some of the best I have ever had (a must if you like mild buttery sauces). The house made sauces are phenomenal as well. Service was extremely friendly, although I believe there was only one server for our large section so there were times he got overwhelmed. The atmosphere is... interesting... there is a ton of seating, so even with several other families the place felt empty. There were also large TVs that appeared to have Windows PC screen savers going the entire time. It also feels like the interior is a blank slate waiting to find its identity. I'm all for a hole in the wall, but it's currently too nice for that, just slighted dated. For the first several years that I lived in Asheville this was German restaurant. Signage now calls it post 25, but it seems it may soon become another location of "East Village Grill" (which I believe has the same owners). The sign out front now says something to that effect. My guess is that there may be some aesthetic changes that will be made at that point. The food is good enough to stand up in Asheville, which is saying a lot, with some small tweaks it can be great. read more

Everything we had was delicious and served quickly! From our drinks and apps to the decadent desserts we really enjoyed every bite. My favorite item by far was the spinach artichoke dip served with pita chips. WOW. It was delicious. Visited on Sunday 30 Aug 2020 for the first time, just after they opened for the day, and "Zach" was our server. Nice guy and he did a good job. There were three of us in our group, two had steak and eggs w/home fried potatoes, and the third had salmon & rice. I think these were both specials for the day. Absolutely worst fried chicken I ever ate in my life I actually could not eat it it was so dry that it wasn't chewable and the fried breading was so fried so hard that I could not bite through it. My girlfriends falafel was not a traditional falafel at all which is normally the three fried balls of falafel but this one was a falafel meatloaf of sorts super mushy super disgusting. My wife and I have been here several times. The staff is very attentive and the food is awesome. The pimento cheese is the best I have ever had and the serving size will feed the whole table. We had about 12 in our party on a very busy night and they really went out of their way to accommodate us. All of the food we got was delicious. I enjoyed the tiger wings and the pimento cheese was absolutely delicious. I sampled some of the duck pizza and I think I'll be ordering it next time. Everyone was very happy with all of the food and the service, especially considering how busy they were. We then spent some time in the lounge and at around 10, the DJ started up and it really turned into a big party and we had a blast! I also have to mention how much they've updated the building. The bar is much bigger than it used to be, and they have a great beer selection, a big wine list and a few craft cocktails on the menu. I think it's definitely going to be a hot spot on the south side of town and I look forwward to returning. read more

Came here on a Sunday around 2 pm for bunch and the place was dead. When we walked in we were seated by a blonde lady with tattoos all over her chest. From there I could see a table of 5 already dinning where another waiter was tending to them and not the girl who sat us. So we ordered our drinks and food and waited. While waiting, a couple was seated behind us, and the male waiter tended to them. He was going back and forth between the tables making sure they were satisfied and tending their needs. However, our waitress never checked on us. While waiting still, the couple who came in way after us, got their food. I was pretty angry at this point. Our waitress never checked on us, yet the waiter working two tables was obviously great to other tables. After 24 minutes of waiting, the waitress brought our food out, I asked her what was going on and why we had to wait. Her response?? "I'm sorry but you really didn't have to wait that long. We also have one cook right now and he's never worked Sunday brunch before." Seriously??? Rather than taking responsibility for her lack of service she acts like a brat!! I was so angry I couldn't eat. Sent my food back, and she still charged me for 50% of it, so I went up to the front to ask for the manager. And guess what... our waitress was the manager!!!! Bahahaha!! How pathetic that this person is supposed to be a professional, and clearly not!! I told her that this service was unacceptable, and how we have come before where the service was great. She stared at me like I was speaking Chinese and deliberately blinked her eyes like she was annoyed that I was annoyed for her incompetence. Finally she just put her hands up and said we didn't have to pay. So I didn't. I've since removed my stunning review of this place and replaced it with this. Horrible management and service from even the manager. We will never ever go here again, and will not recommend it to anyone! read more

I'm not easy to impress but, honestly, if there were 6 stars, I'd give 'em that! We went for lunch today and everything was fabulous! Collectively we had a French dip with fries, quiche of the day & salad, the carnivore pizza, Brussels sprouts, coffee, chocolate cake, and coconut cake. The only leftover was pizza and that was only because it was enough for two (or 3). Our 13 year old ate it for dinner so nit a bite was wasted! All of the food was perfect, our waitress was excellent, and the restaurant itself was on point. This is the best restaurant I've been to in a long time. Update: Joined a group of friends before they headed back to Florida following our NYE celebration. Tiger Wings were great this visit and cooked/sauced to perfection! House Salad had fresh spring mix and the chicken was blackened as requested! I enjoyed the Caesar dressing but asked for the Greek as well since I was taking 1/2 home to my wife...unfortunately the dressing was all oil & lemon juice with no herbs or noticeable spices or feta added as most dressings claiming to be Greek would feature! I tried the Balsamic Vinaigrette as well which was mostly oil:( Adding an emulsifier such as mustard or anchovy would have really helped all the ingredients to incorporate into perfect harmony...just my $0.02:) Overall on 2nd Visit: Our entire party liked the food ordered which shows this place is improving on overall execution! Elijah our server was great and very helpful with questions/quick to offer beverage refills!!!! I'll be back again for lunch without a doubt!!!! Initial Visit: filled with issues...Tiger Wings breading tragically was falling off the meat...Rocket Dog bun was massive when compared to the bun which was over toasted/dried out causing it to split down the middle before even an attempt to pick it up...Burger -patty was good but he bottom bun was a soggy mess. I love to cook and eat burgers! It is my strong opinion that well thought burger construction is absolutely imperative to a GREAT burger. A piece of DRY lettuce & no sauce on the bottom is the most crucial element of construction to protect from the dreaded wet bun...Catch-of-the-Day was painstakingly dry and the biggest disappointment as it was a piece of salmon that resembled a white fish because it was so overcooked/tasteless. The Menu Description: "*Chef's Choice in Preparation & Presentation of WHOLE roasted fish"; ...shame on me for not drilling the server on Chef's preparation for the night...for this you can only blame the person working the expo station since it should have never been brought to the table. Easily fixed with a simple apology stating the initial attempt was not up to business standards. The shrimp was served cold(maybe it was suppose to be?!?! Again I should have asked for a details description of the dish assembly), brussel sprouts were soggy/lukewarm, and glaze needed something acidic added to balance the sauce which resembled aunt jemima/log cabin brand maple syrup which was just depressing and a larger embarrassment that the overcooked fish...lastly: female manager returned detailing the system wouldn't let them apply the discount to both checks once split. She did it manually which we appreciated and thanked her for taking time to explain/breaking down the tickets by seat position. Our server was Preston and he was on top of everything and accommodated us with some of the typical annoying request without hesitation that customers can occasionally ask for. Greeting was a little slow. I've lived here for quite a while and I've not been. Atmosphere is nice. They have a live band on Tuesday. I'm not a huge fan of live music. It's so loud you have to yell across the table to talk. Ordered onion rings as an appetizer. Not very golden brown but crispy. Not the greatest but not the worst by far. The Notorious PIG burger was pretty good. Lots of pork. I like pork lol. The tiger chicken is spicy and sweet. A good combination. Brussel sprouts were really good.
