Shop around and get pricing from other places so they can get it. Price matched. If you deal with them I will never buy another car from them ever again. I have bought two cars. This one Will My last one they really jacked up the price. Shop around before you deal with them. They said they would fix some stuff on the car they never did. Re: Buying a car After reading all the reviews here, our experience feels like the status quo for this dealership. We had been on a list to view and potentially purchase the new Golf R when it arrived. We are from the west side of the state but frequently visit Spokane and we realize there is a massive demand for the car. We got a call that the new car had arrived and fortunately we were on our way to Spokane already, so we scheduled an appointment for the next day. We were told our car would be a great trade-in and that they wanted to find out which buyer from their list could give them (the dealership) the best deal. People had already agreed to pay thousands more than the listed price. Hunger Games for a car? None of the other dealerships are doing this. But, we still wanted to explore our options and see the car. The salespeople we interacted with were really friendly and polite. This isn't on them. We looked at the car, loved it, and wanted an appraisal for our trade-in. They take the paperwork back to their manager, who comes back and says... they only want to sell the car to someone local. There are several failings here: the manager didn't communicate this information to any of the other staff- we could see they were as blindsided as we were. Therefore, we wasted our entire morning coming out to Post Falls, when we could have been spending time with family. We've been told by a few sources that this could be discrimination. But most importantly, we're annoyed they wasted our time. Pretty sure this dealership has never had a car in demand like they are for the Golf R, which is fine, but they obviously don't know how to handle it, and the "manager" needs to learn some management and communication skills. Buying my car was easy BUT last year I brought my very expensive brand new snow tires for them to put on my car and the wrong tires (not mine and not snow) were placed instead. It went unnoticed (because how could this even happen, we did not think to check?!) until Spring when the tires were removed and we went to load them in the car and they were not our $1200 tires that we had purchased for Winter. They had no explanation and no apology and no resolution and now as snow season is approaching I am reminded that I have to spend another $1200+ more on tires for this nearly brand new car that I already purchased tires for and of course the prices increased. So I would NOT recommend them for seasonal tire changes. It will cost you a fortune. Very shady. read more

I stopped at this dealership to purchase a used car and when they did not have anything on the lot, they referred me to their sister company CDA Nissan (under the same owner). Post Falls Volkswagen had called ahead to Ron, at CDA Nissan, who sold a car to me. Within 50 miles the check engine light came on. I took the car to a service center only to find out that CDA Nissan had suppressed all the warnings. When I called the dealership back, they told me it wasn't their problem (loser). read more

My friend has been taking her VW Bug here for the last five years but that was before they changed to a new service manager. Her recently quoted repair price was $800 HIGHER than two different mechanics (who both have many years of VW service experience) so she decided to just pay for the diagnosis and take it somewhere else. The new service manager here refused at first to even give her a copy of the diagnosis and just wanted her to pay then leave. She had to DEMAND the printout before she would pay and even then had to undergo the old "we lost it" BS (it is on the computer screen when they pull up your service record and they only need to send it to the printer). Re: Detail service I chose VW Post Falls because the service personnel were very personable and informed me they could detail my new to me "used" 2004 VW Beetle for $240. They shared that it would be a full interior/exterior detail that included a clay wax to the body. I made an appointment and brought my car in on Tuesday September 1st. Again, the employee at the service desk was very nice and helpful. I picked up my car later that afternoon after 4 pm. The service person went over my car, and I initially saw spots and smears along the bottom of the driver door which he said was overspray of something and said that was normal. I returned home after 5 pm and began to notice that the car inside and out did not appear to be as clean as I had expected for a full detail. Upon further inspection in the engine compartment there was noted to be dark exhaust dirt on the paint around the inside of the hood. I took a rag to this area and the marks immediately came off. I opened the trunk and the towel and blanket I had in there were in the same spot I had left them, were damp from what I assume was washing the car. The debris that was in the trunk when I dropped the car off was still present. Upon further inspection of the interior and exterior, it was noted that the dash was never treated with protectant such as Armorall. The tires did have a protectant applied and were nice and shiny. All of the black accents appeared to not be treated with anything which I expected in a full detail. Dust remained in many of the crevices on the dash which cleaned up with some detail with a brush. The front seat frames were visibly dirty and cleaned very easily when I moved the seats. There was debris under the front passenger seat. The crevices around both doors were visibly dirty which also wiped clean very easily and shined up nicely with Armorall. The door pockets were still dirty. The lower front grill still had bug remains that wiped off with a bit of elbow grease. The grill is pitted from rocks but there was still a lot of bug debris and smears. The inside windshield was visibly smeared with some product that cleaned off nicely. The reason I cleaned was to confirm my suspicion that my car was not detailed to the standard I expected for $240 cost. It is an older car and I thought maybe that what I was seeing were permanent stains to the car. This was not the case. I did call and relay my concerns to the gentleman who answered the phone. He was pleasant and apologized and inquired why I did not bring the car back in. I live in CDA and do not have transportation back and forth to drop the car off. Thus, the reason I rode my bike home the morning I dropped off the car. By the time I verified the lack for cleaning, I decided to just finish the cleaning so I would not be without a car for another full day. I have taken a photo of the rag my husband and I used that demonstrates the dirt that remained just on the inside of the car. I have photos of other items as well. The second reason I did not bring it back is that I expected the detail to be done correctly the first time, not the second time. My time is also valuable. I am providing this information to help VW of Post Falls to improve service. read more

It honestly is so disappointing to have to give a Volkswagen Dealership a one star rating, although i'd give less if it was allowed, Because I am a German Engineered buyer through and through. I will always own a Volkswagen or Audi.. But I will take my business else where before I ever give Post Falls Volkswagen my business again. I took my car in to have it Diagnosed because my heater hasn't been working well low and behold, my Heating core has failed.. and it is covered under my extended Warranty... Well Blake in service REFUSED to tell the warranty the information they needed, so instead of working with us, and with my extended warranty company they expected me to pay $1,200+ to fix something i should only be paying my deductible for. To top it off, when we went to pick up my vehicle the had to "find it" because all but one person in service had left at 2:30.. it took them an HOUR to "find" My car, and give it back to us! while there were 3 people standing in the front chit chatting instead of helping out the ONE person/customer they have to get them their vehicle. I honestly am not even sure how you lose a vehicle after it has come into the service department to get fixed.. Like i said it's truly disappointing this is the help we received, or failed to receive, because they just lost what could have been a life long customer due to they're lack of corporation and utter ignorance. I have always and only taken my car to them to get fixed since I moved into the area.. Post Falls Volkswagen is literally 2 minutes from my house.. Guess I'll try out Auto Nation Volkswagen in Spokane. I would suggest you do the same to avoid frustrations, and disappointment with their lack of customer service abilities. read more

I am a long time customer of PF Volkswagen and have always stayed loyal to them for service even on vehicles not purchased from their store, however, the last 2 times I have taken my newest vehicle in for oil service I arrived before my scheduled appointment to drop off my vehicle and returned 1.5-2 hours later expecting it to be finished...or close.... The last time I was told we haven't started it but will do so now so I waited another 1.5 hours while this time it was worse. My scheduled apt time was 2 pm I arrived at 1:45 to drop off I returned at 3:15 to be told it wasn't even started again and the gentleman that was helping me had left for the day so they would get it in within the next 30-45 minutes to start!!! This is absolutely unacceptable! There was no urgency whatsoever and scheduled me back 2 weeks later!!! Very Very disappointed!!! Just purchased a brand new Volkswagen Atlas SEL from Post Falls Volkswagen. Love the car but their customer service is awful. I was given an odometer disclosure stating it had 8 miles on it but it actually has 287 miles on it. After googling the VIN, the car was originally in Yakima and apparently transported over to Idaho. This was never disclosed to me, so I called and spoke to a sales manager, Jimmy, who could care less. Dishonest sales people conducting shady business. Brought my 2000 beetle in for excessive "engine shake" while in gear and the brake on. I wanted to know if it was worth fixing (i.e. fairly cheap quick fix). After they ran a diagnostic I was told a tune up. Great! Also asked them to fix the drivers side mirror and replace the alarm fob. They also provided a list of other items that needed replaced. Fine as it's all normal maintenance and this still qualifies as quick and worth fixing. After several weeks I called and was told the car was ready. Went to pick it up and 1) no new fob, 2) mirror still broken, 3) engine still shakes. Went back in and told them to try again. Was eventually told the rubber support for the "dog bone mount" needed replaced and another list of damaged engine parts. Not happy but fine. At *2 MONTHS* that the car has been there and roughly $3k the car is still not fixed and I'm now told broken engine mount. They also do not replace fobs and can not (or will not) get the mirror parts. So none of that money has gone to fixing anything I requested to be fixed. The front desk people are pleasant but know nothing about the repairs and the techs are nearly impossible to get ahold of. This has clearly gone beyond quick and "worth fixing" so i am done. To add insult to injury I was forced to sign a limited warranty because the car is not fixed. Due to this colossal waste of time and money I will never own another VW. read more

Well here we go with more VW drama. Yes my VW Jetta is part of the the emissions scandal and as part the owners of those vehicles received care packages including a 500 dollar dealer credit. I took my car in due to an emissions warning light and a after they looked at the codes it was throwing determined that there was a malfunctioning exhaust flap. What the dealer did not tell me was the exhaust flap was a known issue and had already been the subject of a TSB and a warranty extension. The dealer quoted me a nearly $400 repair and suggested I use the care package for my car to cover the repair. I contacted VWOA and asked them to cover the repair since the dealer was not up front about the TSB and warranty extension. My car was over mileage so no warranty for me. I decided to try the dealer again and called and made an appointment for an oil change. They said no problem show up at 7am. I arrived at 6:54 am and waited at the service entrance. The sign on the roll up said honk for service and showed the hours with an opening time of 7am. At 7am I honked and no one responded. As I was sitting there several people entered the building through the back door of the service bay and no one bothered to check on me. At 7:08 I left. I wrote an email to the dealership and called within the next half hour and no one answered or responded. My take is they just don't want to help customers. It's bad enough that my car is part of their scandal but in addition to that problem there are several other known issues, like failing radios, which hundreds of people have complained about to VWOA yet they refuse to acknowledged the issues. My advice, don't shop there or go for service. My other advice, think carefully before buying a VW. Update**************** Here we are three weeks since I sent the dealership an email with a complaint about the above service appointment and I have yet to hear from them. Do not get your car repaired here. They charge you and don't do the work. I have pics to prove it. I don't think they knew I was a mechanic! Well I looked under the car. And found a sensor I paid 150 dollars to have put in was never changed. The alignment which cost 80 bucks now takes an abrupt right as soon as hands come off wheel, almost alarming. And when I got my oil changed they over filled the oil by a quart!! Wtf. I have pics to prove it all!! I am in three diff. European car clubs. And had many friends look under car. They repaired my car but I was paying for additional parts that I told them had already been replaced a few months before and were still under warranty. I tried talking to them but said I had to pay and call the guy tomorrow. So I did. Then I got the run around, call backs, and was even on hold for over 30 min before I decided to go to the dealership where I was able to talk to the service manager. They gave the whole speel again then was told it wasn't under warranty because it had non oem parts. BS cuz they all had vw stickers on them, I have the removed parts to prove it, I asked for them back which they didn't know. Then they asked if car was working properly, I said so far, and then asked what they could do to make it right(after the guy had already offered a couple of oil changes for free cuz he remembered after the fact and said it was a miss communication). I said I only approved the passenger side parts and not driver side and would like to be compensated. Hey then asked if I would like them to break my car? My unthinking response was not if you want to live. So at this point he says I threatened him and I was to leave. So we both called the police and because it is considered private property I was trespassed. So they are allowed to provoke, threaten, and scam as per all the other complaints and no one does anything. I will be leaving lots of reviews, calling corporate, call better business bureau, and so on. This kind of thing I have never had to deal with and is utterly disrespectful, ridiculous and someone should definitely look into the service department for unethical conduct among other issues. read more

I went to test drive a car and was told the car was one price. After the test drive and showing interest in the vehicle, I was told that the salesperson was wrong, and the car was actually $2k more. They refused to honor the original price, so I left. I don't deal with liars, and if your sales people do not truly know what things cost (although it was written down on his price sheet as the figure he originally told me) then you might want to train them better! I will take my business elsewhere as most of the cars on your lot are way overpriced compared to other local area dealers. read more

This dealership absolutely sucks. I purchased a brand new 2017 Golf AllTrack last fall. The car was missing all provisions related to changing the tire. The jack, the anti-theft socket, etc. Of course I didn't find this out until I had a flat and was stuck. I called the dealership, spoke with the owner and he felt no obligation to make it right. I've purchased no less that 6 VWs in my lifetime and have been a loyal customer. I'm planning to rethink that. I know that VW dealerships are hard to come by in the Spokane/Post Falls area. Poor service and lack of support after the sale We have purchased 10 Volkswagen car's and SUV's over the last 4 years. We love the engineering that goes into Volkswagen's vehicles. However, I would not buy again from Post Falls Volkswagen based on their poor service and lack of support after the sale. My most recent examples include: * Example 1: Purchased a new Volkswagen Touareg in December of 2016. In late January, the A-Frame trim piece that houses an air bag began pulling away from the headliner (approx. 1") gap. Concerned, we called and made a service appointment at Post Falls Volkswagen. We took our Touareg in for service on Friday February 3rd. They inspected the trim piece and mounting mechanism, but where not able to fix it. They informed us that they would need to order a replacement trim piece and that it should be in within a week. We waited a week (we received no follow up call). We waited a month (we received no follow up call). My wife was getting more and more concerned with the airbag going off or being compromised as the gap between the trim piece and the headliner kept getting larger. After waiting for 7 weeks with no follow up and (2) non-returned calls, we called another Volkswagen dealer. They ordered the part, set the expectation that it would take approx. 5 days to receive the part, called on the 4th day stating that the part had come in and they were able to get our Touareg in the shop the next day to replace our A-frame trim piece. * Example 2: Following the heavy rains, my wife noticed that her Touareg was running rough. I began inspecting the engine compartment and noticed that there was 2" of water in the air cleaner box. I had never seen this before on any vehicle. I replaced the wet air filter and we called Post Falls Volkswagen and made an appointment to have our car inspected for the root cause on why there would be water getting into the air cleaner box. We brought our Touareg in for the appointment on Saturday (3/25) and their service manager and parts professional where baffled and unable to diagnose the root cause. They asked us to make another appointment. Lesson learned, we called the same Volkswagen dealer that had fixed our Touareg's A-frame trim piece previously. They were able to diagnose and resolve the issue in under an hour. Buyer beware. When you buy a car, you are making a major investment. You are going to want to purchase your vehicle from a dealer that will provide service and support after the sale. This is not Post Falls Volkswagen. read more

They aren't owned by the parkers anymore - they are Post Fall Volkswagen. My daughter and I spent two weekends narrowing down a car for her to take to college after her old Nissan died. We decided the new Civic or Jetta would be good economical models for her to drive to and from school, so we requested quotes from a VW in Spokane, Post Falls and three of the local Honda Stores. When it comes to the VW stores, Spokane was quick and friendly, the exact opposite of the Post falls store. It was almost 24 hours before I heard anything back from Christina/the post falls store. I submitted a request for a lease quote in the evening on the 15th and didnt get a reply until 4:01 on the 16th. She said she would be happy to get me pricing and information when she was ready. She asked me if I was a current VW owner. Which I replied, I wasnt. This is where the games began. I am a very busy professional and don't have time to go down to a store to hang out for hours, nor do I have time to go back and forth on the phone/email. It took 8 email responses (some of them delayed several hours) over 2 days before they finally sent me a quote, after I told them I wasn't interested in doing business with them. The pricing they sent was attractive, so I decided to give it a second thought. My wife and I had decided not to lease at this point, as my daughter is considering changing schools and would be driving farther than from Coeur D'Alene to NIC and back. I asked them what it would look like to buy the exact same car with taxes and the advertised finance special on Volkswagens Corporate website (the lease quote she sent didnt disclose any fees, taxes or licensing and we have never bought a car while we lived in Idaho before). I sent two emails and never heard back from them. This morning I inquired again and after not hearing anything from them, we went and purchased the Civic, as they also offered us a good price and had great consideration for my time. Here's the Grand Finale on why you should be prepared for games and hi-jinks if you buy a car from them - she finally replied several hours later and said she didnt know what car I wanted, to provide a number so that the sales manager can call, that she doesn't have all of my answers corresponding via internet, etc... No straight answers, dodged around everything I explicitly asked and no respect or consideration for my time. I replied that I got tired of waiting after 4 days of trying to get information and a simple quote to be able to make a decision with my wife and daughter. I pointed out that I specifically asked what the black car's payment would be if we did a purchase instead of a lease, and that we bought a car. The best part was Christina's reply - it was one word long: "okay". They dont care about their customers or their experience. With Volkswagen going through some tough issues thanks to the diesel scandle, you would think they would be doing everything they can to get customers. The Sales Manager, Jonah, and I came to an agreeable deal. 10 minutes later, he decides he doesn't like the deal and knocks the value of my car down from $36,000 to $33,000. Biggest load of crap I've ever been a part of. The dealership will nail you to the wall if you try and back out of a committed deal but it's okay for them! Would NEVER shop here. I would drive to Seattle before I went here for anything. They are the definition of sleazy. read more

I recently purchased a chevrolet 2500hd crewcab from them. I know buying Chevy from VW but oh well. The sales manager and salesman were great. This was roughly five weeks ago. Two weeks ago truck lost all oil pressure. Talked to service manager and he basicly said not my problem. Called GM he talked to owner and service manager called me. Told to bring truck out see what they can do. Had it towed from Spokane to postfalls. Im not sure what they did but sent it to a chevrolet dealer. I talked to Chevy and they stated they ran a electerical test showed no electrical fault. Duh I had already replaced sending unit and oil pump. VW called and said basicly too expensive to fix come get truck. I had to have it towed to home at a cost of 230$ for what appears to me that nothing was done but check electrical. I understand as is but what about being human and doing what's right. So they Dont make a huge profit on one truck. I haven't even made a payment on a truck that i can't drive or afford to have motor rebuilt. So much for caring about anything but the almighty dollar. read more

I've had a dream car in my mind since i was a teenager, then life happens...no money. ..kids. ..etc. My birthday is coming up so we went to LOOK, i asked "do you have this car in white? " gentleman said no i said okay. I could wait until they did. He says "well i do have that car in white but it's our loaner car" I drive it, i love it, we sit down and discuss money....fill out the credit application and wait. It's Saturday evening so Nicole the sales manager comes out and says"we're not getting the answer we want but the banks are on Mountain time so we need to keep working on it." "Take the kids home you don't have to sit here, we'll call you and don't worry we're not going to sell it" " Someone will give you a call" since we hadn't heard from anyone we went down there. Oh the car...had been sold the day before they even showed it to me, the guy just hadn't came and picked it up. Sooooo you weren't going to call me? Good news is you're approved....for a car you don't have? We have a nice Toyota...I'm not looking for a damn Toyota! You approved me for my dream car that wasn't for sale and I'm not supposed to be upset because you have a Toyota? Thankfully Spencer at Spokane VW bent over backwards for me and is shipping me my car grin Florida!
